August Advertisement Model Brand Reputation Rankings Announced
The Korean Business Research Institute has revealed this month’s brand reputation rankings for advertisement models! The rankings were determined through an analysis of consumer behavior, using big data collected from July 7 to August 7. The Korean Business Research Institute evaluated the participation, communication, media, and social values of popular advertisement models in order to calculate each star’s total brand reputation index for August. Byeon Woo Seok topped this month’s list with a brand reputation index of 1,779,765 for August. High-ranking phrases in his keyword analysis included “Solo Leveling,” “wolf cut,” and “Byeon Woo Seok card,” while his highest-ranking related terms included “transform,” “shoot,” and “donate.” Byeon Woo Seok’s positivity-negativity analysis also revealed a score of 92.64 percent positive reactions. BTS came in at a close second with a brand reputation index of 1,686,305, followed by Lim Young Woong in third place with a score of 1,593,895. Soccer star Son Heung Min took fourth place for August with a brand reputation index of 1,186,630, and ASTRO’s Cha Eun Woo rounded out the top five with a score of 1,014,037. KBS2’s upcoming drama “Walking on Thin Ice” has released new stills of Lee Young Ae and Kim Young Kwang! “Walking on Thin Ice” will tell the story of the dangerous partnership between a mother desperate to protect her family and a teacher who secretly leads a double life. Lee Young Ae plays Kang Eun Soo, an ordinary housewife who enters a forbidden world. Kim Young Kwang stars as Lee Kyung, a popular after-school art teacher who secretly works as a drug dealer. The stills highlight the sharply contrasting auras of Lee Young Ae and Kim Young Kwang, who meet as a parent and an art instructor before later transforming into secret business partners. The new stills also span Kang Eun Soo’s past, when she nurtured small dreams with a confident, cheerful work attitude, all the way to her present, where she boldly enters a forbidden world for the sake of her family despite a difficult life. In one photo, Lee Young Ae transforms into a younger Kang Eun Soo from the past with her long, flowing hair and bank clerk uniform. She greets customers with a bright smile that highlights her innocent beauty. Meanwhile, with his soft eyes and wistful expression, Kim Young Kwang perfectly portrays two very different roles, switching back and forth between a warm art instructor and a mysterious club MD. In the drama, Kang Eun Soo and Lee Kyung meet as a parent and a teacher living very different lives, only to become secret business partners through an unexpected turn of events. Amid their tangled relationship, complex emotions will slowly develop between them, showcasing the characters’ layered charms. “Walking on Thin Ice” will premiere on September 20 at 9:20 p.m. KST.
Lee Jun Young And Jung Chaeyeon In Talks To Star In New Drama
Lee Jun Young and Jung Chaeyeon may come together in one project! On August 26, media outlets reported that Lee Jun Young and Jung Chaeyeon have been shortlisted to star in the upcoming drama “The New Employee Chairman Kang” (literal translation). The report also stated that the series is scheduled to air next year. In response to the reports, on August 27, a representative from Lee Jun Young’s agency said, “‘The New Employee Chairman Kang’ is one of the projects he has been offered, and he is reviewing the offer positively.” A representative from Jung Chaeyeon’s agency also stated, “She has received an offer to appear [in the drama] and is reviewing it.” “The New Employee Chairman Kang” follows Kang Yong Ho, chairman of the major conglomerate Choi Sung Group, who is known as a business genius but is forced to live an unwanted second life after an accident. Lee Jun Young was offered dual roles as Kang Yong Ho, a CEO who built a top 10 business empire, and Hwang Joon Hyun, a soccer player whose life revolved entirely around the sport. The story focuses on these two people whose lives are completely transformed by an unexpected tragedy. Since making his acting debut in 2017 with tvN’s “Avengers Social Club,” Lee Jun Young has built up a strong career by starring in various projects including the dramas “When Life Gives You Tangerines,” “Weak Hero Class 2,” and “Pump Up the Healthy Love.” Jung Chaeyeon has also established herself as a rising actress with roles in “The King’s Affection,” “The Golden Spoon,” “Family by Choice,” and more. IVE’s Jang Won Young has been named an ambassador for BVLGARI. On August 27, the Italian luxury jewelry brand BVLGARI announced the appointment of Jang Won Young as their new ambassador. BVLGARI stated, “Jang Won Young’s genuine and bright energy, positive attitude, and her continuous drive to grow and take on challenges align closely with the brand’s DNA.” Jang Won Young shared her thoughts, saying, “With BVLGARI, I want to awaken my full potential and freely and boldly expand my own possibilities. The teaser begins by showing how an unexpected event shatters the peaceful life of Eun Soo’s family. Her warm daily life collapses in an instant with her husband’s worsening illness, financial ruin, and confiscation notices plastered all over her home. Just when she is urgently in need of a large sum of money, Eun Soo stumbles upon a mysterious bag that pulls her onto an irreversible path. She winds up becoming entangled with Lee Kyung, who works as an art instructor by day and a club promoter under the alias “James” by night. Their relationship transforms from that of parent and teacher into a risky business partnership. At first, the two even discuss their goal of building a long-term, stable customer base. Jung Jinyoung Makes Special Cameo As Arin And Yoon San Ha’s Senior In “My Girlfriend Is The Man!”
Jung Jinyoung will be making a special appearance in KBS2’s “My Girlfriend is the Man!” Based on the popular webtoon of the same name, “My Girlfriend is the Man!” is a romantic comedy about a college student whose girlfriend unexpectedly transforms into a man. ASTRO’s Yoon San Ha stars as Park Yoon Jae, an astronomy student who is head over heels for his girlfriend Kim Ji Eun (OH MY GIRL’s Arin). Due to a gene that runs in her family, Kim Ji Eun suddenly turns into a handsome man (played by Yoo Jung Hoo) and begins going by the name Kim Ji Hoon. In his cameo, Jung Jinyoung plays a senior from the same university as Kim Ji Eun and Park Yoon Jae. Newly released stills capture him flashing his trademark warm smile as he approaches the pair, only for his expression to shift into something more serious and mysterious. His appearance raises questions about what role he will play and what kind of impact he will have on the couple’s story. Jung Jinyoung agreed to the cameo to show support for his longtime junior Arin, who was under the same agency as him at WM Entertainment. During filming, he also took commemorative photos with Arin, Yoon San Ha, and Yoo Jung Hoo, leaving behind fond memories of his time on set.
