Lee Sun Bin, Ra Mi Ran, And Jo Aram Keep Their Hopes High In Poster For New Drama "To The Moon"
MBC’s upcoming drama “To the Moon” has unveiled a new poster! Based on the novel of the same name, “To the Moon” tells the survival story of three working-class women who struggle to live on their salaries and turn to cryptocurrency investing. The cast includes Lee Sun Bin as Jung Da Hae, Ra Mi Ran as Kang Eun Sang, Jo Aram as Kim Ji Song, and Kim Young Dae as Ham Ji Woo. The newly released poster shows Jung Da Hae, Kang Eun Sang, and Kim Ji Song holding cellphones with eager expressions. In contrast to the bleak backdrop of the subway, the three stand out with bright smiles that convey hope and excitement. Meamwhile, the subway setting symbolically shows the characters’ ambition to ride the so-called “coin train” all the way to the moon. The tagline, “Do we have it too…? The one secret move to turn the game around!”, highlights the desperate hopes and challenges of people from humble background who dream of breaking free from ordinary life and achieving a dramatic turnaround. The poster also links the daily “hell train” commute that office workers endure with the drama’s title, “To the Moon,” signaling the start of a special journey that marks a departure from ordinary life. “To the Moon” is set to premiere on September 19 at 9:50 p.m. KST.
Shin Ye Eun Shares Her “A Hundred Memories” Character’s MBTI, Bond With Kim Da Mi, And More
Shin Ye Eun has opened up about her role in the upcoming JTBC drama “A Hundred Memories”! Set in the 1980s, “A Hundred Memories” is a nostalgic coming-of-age romance drama about the friendship between two young bus attendants, Go Young Rye (Kim Da Mi) and Seo Jong Hee (Shin Ye Eun), and their shared first love Han Jae Pil (Heo Nam Jun). Shin Ye Eun says the drama deeply resonated with her sense of the era: “That time felt like a society full of warmth and human connection. Even without anything extraordinary happening, young people lived each day happily through genuine bonds with others. I was especially moved by how they loved passionately and lived fully, putting aside pride to live without regrets.” Although she’s never been a bus attendant herself, Shin Ye Eun has her own special memories of the profession. “As a child, I loved the cartoon ‘Black Rubber Shoes,’ which featured bus attendants. Their image left a strong impression, so the role always felt familiar and relatable.” She also asked older generations about their memories and discovered that many had fond memories of bus attendants from that time. “That’s when I realized this story could connect with a wide audience,” she explained, adding that viewers who lived through the era will feel nostalgic, while younger audiences can experience its unique atmosphere and emotions. Shin Ye Eun’s character Seo Jong Hee is a rookie bus attendant who arrives at Cheong Ah Transport like a comet. Beautiful and confident, she exudes a ‘girl crush’ charm. “At first, her cool personality really stood out to me,” Shin Ye Eun said. “But as filming progressed, Jong Hee became someone I wanted to support and protect. If I had to analyze her with MBTI, she’s an ESFP. She seems strong and rational on the outside, but is actually sensitive and tender-hearted. The more I got to know her, the more I felt her warmth and realized she’s someone who needs care.” The drama will also highlight 1980s fashion through Jong Hee. “One of her charms that only I know about was her fashion sense and innate eye for style. I wanted to show that naturally through her outfits, so I researched and put a lot of effort into it. I think viewers will enjoy these small but meaningful details,” she added. The friendship between Jong Hee and Go Young Rye is a central focus of the series. Shin Ye Eun admitted, “At first, portraying the emotion of friendship was difficult. But eventually, just seeing Young Rye’s face or hearing her name would bring tears to my eyes.” Her favorite scene is the dorm rooftop moment, glimpsed in previous teasers and stills. “All the atmosphere and emotions from that moment when I listened to Young Rye’s dreams still feel vivid to me,” she recalled. She also expressed heartfelt gratitude to Kim Da Mi: “I was genuinely happy to be able to create such a precious character with Da Mi.” “A Hundred Memories” will premiere on September 13 at 10:40 p.m. KST.
Joo Jong Hyuk Trembles With Terror As A Knife Targets His Pinky In “Confidence Queen”
The upcoming drama “Confidence Queen” has offered a sneak peek of Joo Jong Hyuk’s tumultuous journey! A Korean adaptation of the 2018 Japanese comedy drama “The Confidence Man JP,” “Confidence Queen” follows three con artists with extraordinary talents as they pull off elaborate scams targeting villains from all walks of life. Park Min Young stars as Yoon Yi Rang, a con artist with an IQ of 165 and a genius-level intellect in the top 1 percent. With her eccentric thinking and cold charisma, she leads the team in their intricate schemes. Joo Jong Hyuk stars as Myung Gu Ho, the youngest, most righteous, and most innocent member of the team. An energetic, action-oriented character full of fiery passion, Myung Gu Ho is a mix of lively energy, subtle clumsiness, and fearless determination. The newly released stills hint at the “three stages of humiliation” Myung Gu Ho experiences during a mission—fear, tears, and enlightenment. In one intense scene, he is captured by assailants and confronted with a big knife aimed at his pinky finger, his terror evident in his expression. Other stills show Myung Gu Ho in equally dramatic and comedic moments: some stills capture him with a bloody nose covered by tissue as he trembles under the threat of a gun in his mouth, while another reveals his lighter side, flashing a bright smile as he peeks around a partially opened wall. The production team praised Joo Jong Hyuk, saying, “He is an incredibly dedicated actor who constantly explores the different layers of his character. We are confident that audiences will fully experience his dynamic charm in ‘Confidence Queen.’” “Confidence Queen” will premiere on September 6 at 9:10 p.m. KST.
Watch: Jeon Yeo Been Risks It All With Contract Marriage And New Identity In “Ms. Incognito” Teaser
ENA’s upcoming drama “Ms. Incognito” has dropped its first teaser and poster! “Ms. Incognito” is a romance crime drama that follows female bodyguard Kim Young Ran (Jeon Yeo Been), who enters a contract marriage with a terminally ill chaebol chairman in hopes of turning her life around. But when those eyeing the chairman’s vast fortune close in, she is forced to live under a new identity Boo Se Mi for three months—setting the stage for dangerous twists and turns. The newly released poster captures Kim Young Ran’s duality: one hand resting on Gaseong Group chairman Ga Seong Ho (Moon Sung Geun)’s shoulder with a sparkling diamond ring, the other gripping a gun, her piercing gaze brimming with resolve. Beneath the line, “I will marry the chairman,” her risky gamble for a new life begins. The teaser offers a deeper look into her scheme. Scarred by domestic abuse and poverty, Young Ran is introduced in threadbare clothes, struggling through job interviews that reflect her dire reality. Yet Ga Seong Ho, drawn to her vulnerabilities, remarks in voiceover, “I like people with a lot of weakness,” before bringing her into his household. When Young Ran cautiously asks, “Mr. Chairman, what do you want me to do for you?” he replies, “We set the trap and wait,” raising questions about the true target of his plot. Her sudden appearance in the household doesn’t go unnoticed. The chairman’s stepdaughter Ga Sun Young (Jang Yoon Joo) openly shows her hostility by referring to Kim Young Ran dismissively as “this thing.” Meanwhile, flashes of police cars flooding a street and cryptic shots of Jeon Dong Min (Jung Jinyoung), Lee Don (Seo Hyun Woo), and Baek Hye Ji (Joo Hyun Young) heighten the suspense, hinting at dangerous ties yet to be revealed. As Kim Young Ran declares, “Lies aren’t bad—it’s only bad if you get caught,” viewers are left wondering who will fall prey to her lies—and who is setting the deadliest trap of all. “Ms. Incognito” will premiere on September 29 at 10 p.m. KST.
