This drama is so fun, lighthearted, and feel-good, but as the story progresses, you’ll find there’s actually a lot more going on behind the scenes.

Chi Chang is a wealthy stoic man who doesn’t care about much outside of his snakes. While he only starts dating to get his pushy parents off his back, Suo Wei feels betrayed to see his ex move on so quickly.

To get payback, he teams up with a new friend (Liu Xuan Cheng) who gives him advice on seducing a man and helps him reinvent himself. What follows are fabricated meetings and sneaky plans to steal his ex’s new lover, but he’s not really the expert on revenge plans.

Following reports from news outlets, tvN confirmed, “The four actors (Gong Yoo, Kim Go Eun, Lee Dong Wook, and Yoo In Na) filmed a travel variety show for one night and two days in Gangneung of Gangwon Province from April 24 to 25.”

SM Entertainment has released an official statement following the court’s final ruling against the malicious YouTuber Sojang.

Previously on April 22, the 14th Civil Division of the Seoul District Court ruled that the operator of Sojang infringed upon the personality rights of the members of EXO, Red Velvet, and aespa by producing and posting videos containing personal attacks. Consequently, the court ordered the channel operator to pay a total of 130 million won (approximately $88,000) in damages.

Furthermore, regarding SM Entertainment, the court ruled that the defendant’s actions effectively caused substantial disruption to the plaintiff company’s business operations and performance. Accordingly, the court ordered an additional 40 million won (approximately $27,000) in damages to SM, bringing the total compensation to 170 million won.

We would like to provide an update on the results of our legal action against the YouTube channel Sojang, which produced and distributed videos containing false information for the purpose of defaming our artists.

In April 2024, we filed a criminal complaint against the operator of the channel for defamation and insults under the Act on Promotion of Information and Communications Network Utilization and Information Protection, etc. regarding EXO, Red Velvet, and aespa. Subsequently, in October of the same year, we filed a civil lawsuit against the same individual.

On January 15, 2025, the Incheon District Court ruled that the channel operator had severely infringed upon the honor and personality rights of our artists by disseminating false information and producing and posting videos containing personal attacks and derogatory expressions, thereby publicly insulting them. The court deemed these actions as crimes that significantly deviated from the scope of simple opinion expression. The operator was sentenced to two years in prison suspended for three years of probation, 120 hours of community service, and a forfeiture of approximately 211.42 million won (approximately $143,200). The operator repeatedly appealed the decision, but the original verdict was ultimately upheld.

Furthermore, on April 22, 2026, the 14th Civil Division of the Seoul Central District Court ruled that the operator of Sojang infringed upon the personality rights of our artists by producing and posting videos containing personal attacks and ordered the operator to pay a total of 130 million won in damages to the artists. Additionally, the court ruled, “The videos produced and posted by the channel operator led to a decline in the image and brand value of SM artists, which are core assets of SM, thereby causing substantial disruption to SM’s business operations and performance.” Consequently, the court ordered the operator to pay an additional 40 million won in damages to our company. This brings the total ordered compensation to 170 million won.

We will continue to take strong legal action, adhering to a policy of zero tolerance, against any YouTube channels that engage in personal attacks, use insulting or derogatory language, or habitually disseminate false information in order to protect our artists. We urge you to immediately cease all current illegal activities directed toward our artists.

SBS’s upcoming drama “My Royal Nemesis” has unveiled its main poster!

“My Royal Nemesis” is a romantic comedy starring Lim Ji Yeon as Shin Seo Ri, a struggling actress who is suddenly possessed by the spirit of a notorious villainess from the Joseon era. Heo Nam Jun will star as Cha Se Gye, a ruthless chaebol heir who is known as a “monster created by capitalism.”

The newly released poster introduces viewers to the drama’s two leads, who will wind up clashing in a thrilling enemies-to-lovers romance. Framing the couple with intricately drawn peonies and butterflies, the poster is designed to look as if Cha Se Gye and Shin Seo Ri are stepping out of a traditional Korean embroidery piece.

Although they are standing side by side, the contrast between Cha Se Gye’s sleek modern-day suit and Shin Seo Ri’s traditional court attire emphasizes the fact that the two leads are from different eras. Meanwhile, the nebula falling between them in the background adds a touch of mystery to the poster and hints at the unexpected romance to come.

As Cha Se Gye keeps his eyes fixed on Shin Seo Ri, she glances around at the modern-day world and marvels in the tagline, “What a wonderful world to live in this is!”

After seven years together, CIX will be going their separate ways.

On April 29, C9 Entertainment officially announced that CIX would be halting group activities ahead of the upcoming expiration of their exclusive contracts.

The agency also revealed that Yonghee would be enlisting in the army as an active-duty soldier on May 11.

All four members of CIX will be parting ways with C9 Entertainment: BX’s and Seunghun’s contracts will end on April 30, while Yonghee’s contract will end on the date of his military enlistment.

Hyunsuk, who is currently filming a drama, will officially part ways with the agency on May 31.

C9 Entertainment’s full statement is as follows:

Hello. This is C9 Entertainment.

We are making an announcement regarding CIX’s future activities.

CIX, who has spent the past seven years with their fans engaging in various activities after debuting on July 21, 2019, will now be halting their group activities.

Although we repeatedly engaged in serious and in-depth discussions with the members over several months about continuing group activities, everyone ultimately came to the agreement that at this point in time, halting group activities is unavoidable.

As we have poured our hearts into the CIX brand and given our all in the production of the group’s music, choreography, videos, performances, and broadcasts, both the members and the company feel a profound sense of sorrow about this decision.

Accordingly, as of April 30, our exclusive contracts with members BX and Seunghun will end.

Additionally, following the decision to halt group activities, member Yonghee voluntarily applied for military enlistment, and after undergoing basic military training at a training center starting on May 11, he will fulfill his military duty in the army as an active-duty soldier.

Yonghee’s exclusive contract will end at the time of his enlistment, and there will be no separate event held on the day of his enlistment. However, we are preparing a small event for Yonghee to say goodbye to his fans before his enlistment, and the details will be announced at a later date through a notice on the fan cafe.

We are providing support for member Hyunsuk so that he can focus on the drama he is currently filming, and accordingly, his exclusive contract will end on May 31.

We ask that you give your warm encouragement to the members who will be doing their best in their respective lives and showing new sides of themselves in new environments.

We will continue to make tangible efforts, including ongoing communication with the members, in the hopes that one day in the future, the CIX brand may return to you with music that is distinctly CIX’s unique style.

The rankings were determined through an analysis of various stars’ media coverage, consumer participation, interaction, and community awareness indexes, using big data collected from March 29 to April 29.

BTS continued their reign at the top of the list this month with a brand reputation index of 11,547,433 for April.

Yoo Jae Suk took second place with a brand reputation index of 7,325,244, while Lim Young Woong ranked third with a score of 6,675,381.

Byeon Woo Seok shot to third place after seeing a staggering 252.87 percent increase in his brand reputation index since March, bringing his total score to 5,316,985.

Finally, Park Ji Hoon rounded out the top five with a brand reputation index of 5,105,720.

In a new interview and pictorial for Singles magazine, Kang Mina dished on her latest drama “If Wishes Could Kill,” her decade-long career, and more!

With the 10th anniversary of her debut approaching, Kang Mina spoke about her love for her career, emphasizing that she is still in the process of growing as an actress.

“When I’m doing interviews or talking about my character on set, I find myself becoming more talkative,” she shared. “At some point, I just naturally realized, ‘Wow, I really love acting.’”

Kang Mina most recently starred in the new Netflix horror series “If Wishes Could Kill,” in which she plays the beautiful and popular high school student Na Ri.

Describing her character, Kang Mina remarked, “Na Ri’s charm is that she has both an 18-year-old’s innocence and fear.”

“After post-production, the director told me that [Na Ri] came off looking a lot more evil than expected, which initially made me worried,” she confessed.

In order to prepare for her role, Kang Mina exclusively watched horror films and dramas before filming the series, and she also practiced lying down and moving only her eyes and lips while filming herself with a camera.

Kang Mina’s next project is the upcoming drama “See You at Work Tomorrow!” (also known as “Back to Work!”), which marks her reunion with her “Café Minamdang” and “Twelve” co-star Seo In Guk.

Kang Mina revealed that when she was first cast in “If Wishes Could Kill,” she confided in Seo In Guk about her concerns and apprehensions about the role. In response, Seo In Guk told her simply, “Do a good job. Congratulations.”

“That one response gave me a lot of strength, more than any long-winded answer could have,” recalled Kang Mina.

As for how she’s spending her time recently, Kang Mina shared that these days, she finds happiness in stopping to try out a new bakery whenever she spots one while walking her dogs.

On April 27, TWS made their return with their new mini album “NO TRAGEDY” and its upbeat title track “You, You.”

According to Hanteo Chart, “NO TRAGEDY” sold an impressive total of 833,138 copies on its first day of sales alone—managing to surpass the total sales record of TWS’s previous mini album “play hard” (which had sold a total of approximately 740,000 albums as of last month) within just one day.

With the rest of the week still left to go, it remains to be seen just how much higher TWS’s first-week sales record will climb by the end of May 3.

Meanwhile, three of TWS’s new songs from “NO TRAGEDY” entered Melon’s Top 100: their title track “You, You” (which had reached a peak of No. 55 by midnight KST on April 28), along with B-sides “All the Possibilities” (No. 75) and “Why You So Bad?” (No. 100).

“Gold Land” follows Hee Joo (Park Bo Young), a security screening officer at an international airport who unexpectedly comes into possession of gold bars tied to an illegal smuggling ring. As those around her become consumed by greed and betrayal, Hee Joo is drawn into a dangerous battle—not just with others, but with her own growing desire to keep the gold.

The newly released stills capture the tension between Kim Hee Joo, who sought to escape her unfortunate past, and Lee Do Kyung (Lee Hyun Wook), who reached out to help her. MBC’s upcoming Friday-Saturday drama “Fifties Professionals” has unveiled a new poster!

“Fifties Professionals” is an action-comedy about three seemingly ordinary but secretly dangerous middle-aged men who are brought back into action by destiny. The three men, who once reigned at the top of their respective fields, find themselves exiled to the remote island of Yeongseon after a mysterious incident. There, they begin a bittersweet and comedic quest to uncover the truth about the fateful day from 10 years ago that changed their lives.

Shin Ha Kyun plays Jung Ho Myung, a National Intelligence Service (NIS) agent who has been on standby for 10 years and now works as the head chef at a Chinese restaurant. Oh Jung Se plays Bong Je Soon, a North Korean special operations agent who lost his memory 10 years ago. Heo Sung Tae plays Kang Beom Ryong, the No. 2 figure in the Hwasan Gang who now runs a convenience store.

In the drama, Jung Ho Myung is trying to recover an “item” that was key to a failed operation in the past. Bong Je Soon survives after returning from the brink of death and is driven by a strong will to live. Seeking revenge for his collapsed criminal organization, Kang Beom Ryong ends up pursuing Jung Ho Myung again. The three come together on Yeongseon Island for their own reasons and attempt to return to the glory of their prime.
