MBN’s upcoming six-episode drama “Azure Spring” has unveiled a new teaser!

“Azure Spring” is a healing youth drama that follows Seo Anna (Kim Ye Rim), who has come to a standstill out of fear of the future, and Yoon Deok Hyun (Kang Sang Jun), who remains trapped in the past and unable to move forward. As they live as a haenyeo (female diver) and haenam (male diver), the two gradually grow through one another.

The newly released teaser kicks off with Seo Anna—once a promising national team swimmer who was forced to give up her dreams due to an unexpected injury—losing hope and trust in herself. Then, text that reads, “Just as my dreams had come to a standstill, a man appeared before me,” appears on screen, signaling a turn in her daily life.

Yoon Seok Hyun is known among the villagers as a mysterious young haenam whose age, profession, and past are veiled. After saving Seo Anna by chance, he becomes entangled with her, and Anna gains the courage to take on a new challenge as she faces the new world of the sea.

“Azure Spring” is set to premiere on May 11 at 11 p.m. KST via MBN Plus.

SBS’s “Sold Out on You” has unveiled new stills ahead of the upcoming episode!

“Sold Out on You” is a romantic comedy about the unexpected love story between Matthew Lee (Ahn Hyo Seop), a perfectionist farmer juggling multiple jobs, and Dam Ye Jin (Chae Won Bin), a top home shopping show host who suffers from severe insomnia.

Previously on “Sold Out on You,” Matthew Lee saw a different side of Dam Ye Jin, who suffers from a sleep disorder and sleepwalking. After that, he began to feel a strange sense of connection and concern for her.

In particular, on a rainy night while returning her medication, Matthew Lee made a surprising remark: “Let’s see each other every day,” sending viewers’ hearts aflutter.

In the upcoming episode, Matthew Lee makes a sudden decision to renew a raw material supply contract with L’Étoile, a company Dam Ye Jin worked hard to secure.

As a result, there are signs that long-stalled issues involving white flower nuri mushroom supply and entry into a hit home shopping channel may be resolved at once, hinting at cooperation between the two.

However, Matthew Lee reviews the contract with his sharp attention to detail and is expected to present an unexpected “special clause” that leaves Dam Ye Jin flustered.

Kowloon Walled City is a lawless black zone in Hong Kong, where gang activity and fighting to the death aren’t out of the norm. However, normal citizens without criminal ties also live here, despite how difficult it can be.

Chu San (He Chang Xi) has inadvertently become famous as the town’s top student. Studying finance at the University of Hong Kong, Chu San has genius-level deduction skills and is a whiz at math. Despite where he lies, he despises gang activity and has vowed never to get involved with a gang.

One night, Chu San accidentally gets caught up in a gang scuffle and crosses paths with the gangster Xia Liu Yi (He Yan Zhao), who is known for his ruthlessness and unsurpassed fighting skills.

After learning that Chu San is the town’s scholar, Liu Yi asks Chu San to write the script for the movie that the gang’s film studio is making. Unable to say no, Chu San is forced to write the script, but he actually has zero experience in writing scripts, let alone a love story.

As he gets more entangled with Liu Yi and his gang, he ends up in a sticky situation that puts his whole life plan at risk. While Chu San is firm on not getting involved with gang activity, Liu Yi has his eyes set on a new lackey.

Why it’s worth the watch:
A violent gangster falling in love with a soft-hearted nerd is just good marketing; it’s one of those pairings that shouldn’t work, but it absolutely does. “Sammy’s Children’s Day” feels like a mix between “KinnPorsche,” “History 3: Trapped,” and “Kiseki: Dear to Me.” If you liked any of those, this is a similar gangster-falling-in-love storyline.

2. “Feel What You Feel”

“Feel What You Feel” is a feel-good college drama about first love between two very different first-year students.

From day one of school, you can tell that Chen Ke (Liang Bei Yi) and Yu Lei (Sun Cai Zhen) are total opposites. Chen Ke is talented in music and sports, but he’s quiet and introverted and doesn’t make friends easily. On the other hand, Yu Lei is social, outgoing, and doesn’t mind being the center of attention.

When the two run into each other on campus, Yu Lei is immediately put off by Chen Ke’s seemingly cold, indifferent attitude. When Yu Lei sees that his older sister seems to be interested in Chen Ke, he becomes hyperfixated on Chen Ke.

Seeing Chen Ke as a challenge, Yu Lei decides he must beat him every chance he gets and keep him away from his sister. However, Chen Ke is unaware of Yu Lei’s hidden agenda.

Why it’s worth the watch:
Set in the year 2000, “Feel What You Feel” has an analog vibe, and watching it feels a lot like unplugging. It’s a warm and sweet love story about getting to know people the long way. This is a good watch when you need a break from the heavier stuff.

3. “Wishing Upon the Shooting Stars”

In “Wishing Upon the Shooting Stars,” the wish of two small-town best friends comes true, and they’ve only got each other to figure it out.

He Xiang Yong (Je Chung) is an aspiring artist who never got the chance to follow his dreams. He returns to his seaside town after losing his job in the city and reunites with his longtime friend Wan Zhe (Yu Chieh En).

One night, the two friends return to their secret hideout spot by the sea, and they each make a wish under the stars. While Wan Zhe wishes for an unforgettable love, Xiang Yong wishes to be someone else.

When they awake the next day, they’re stunned to find out their wishes have started to come true. For starters, no one in town recognizes Xiang Yong, not even his own father. The only person who still knows him is Wan Zhe.

Seeing it as a chance to start a new life, Xiang Yong takes on this new identity with the help of Wan Zhe. Some quickly crafted lies and backstory get him through the door and a job at his father’s hotel, but hiding who he really is becomes even more difficult when he meets Hao Wei (Chu Meng Hsuan), his teenage crush.

Hao Wei knows all of the real Xiang Yong’s tells, and he isn’t giving up until he finds the boy he once knew.

Why it’s worth the watch:
If you had to choose between starting a fresh, new life or a second chance at who you could have been, which would you take? “Wishing Upon the Shooting Stars” hits hard as a young adult story about missed chances and following your dreams. This drama is comforting, healing, and set in a beautiful seaside town, but its hidden quality is its humor.

4. “Fake Fact Lips”

“Fake Fact Lips” is a rivalry‑to‑love story about two coworkers whose nonstop banter and competition eventually push them into competing for love.

Yotsuya Ryo (Hori Kaito) and Shito Zen (Sato Yusuke) are self-proclaimed rivals with a feud that has reached a ridiculous level. After graduating from high school, they assume their rivalry era is finally over until they end up working at the same office.

Ryo and Zen compete over everything, and working in close proximity just makes it worse. They bicker constantly, try to one‑up each other at every turn, and even carry their arguments home.

It’s their bickering that leads them into a totally unexpected, unplanned argument about who’s better in bed. One thing leads to another, and suddenly they’re making their next big bet: who can make the other fall in love first.

Their random arguments have always been wild, but this takes things to a whole new level.

Why it’s worth the watch:
“Fake Fact Lips” is shaping up to be a hilarious office rom-com about a feud that’s totally unserious and that basically runs on the intrusive thoughts of the leads. If you’ve been waiting to see Sato Yusuke in another BL lead role since 2022’s “Mr. Unlucky Has No Choice but to Kiss!,” the wait is finally over.

5. “Always Meet Again”

“Always Meet Again” is a heartfelt Korean BL about loss and love and what would happen if given the chance to go back in time and rewrite your future.  

The story starts in the present, where Jang Hye Seong (Woo Ji Han) is a successful artist but a recluse still troubled by his past. One day, he reluctantly returns to his high school to give a lecture.

Reminiscing about his high school days and a love that got away, he ends up in the art room and starts to sketch a special someone from his past. A bright light flashes, and he finds himself in a school uniform, back in high school.

Before he can even process what happened, Hye Seong meets Lee U Jin (Shin Jeong You), a boy he once fell in love with. But U Jin doesn’t recognize him.

Regretting how things ended between them, Hye Seong decides to do it right this time and stay by U Jin’s side no matter what. But the rules of the past and present and time-traveling are completely unknown territory.

Why it’s worth the watch:
If you’ve missed the incredible chemistry between Ji Han and Jeong You since 2023’s “A Breeze of Love,” this is their new series that’ll finally let you relive how good they are together. “Always Meet Again” is another high school love that gets a second chance set up, but this time, there’s a little magic in the mix.

On May 6, Netflix released 15 official stills for their upcoming series “The WONDERfools,” previewing the turbulent events that will unfold before the four-member team from Haeseong City who unexpectedly acquired their powers.

“The WONDERfools” is a superpower comic action set in 1999, a time when apocalyptic beliefs were rampant. It follows a group of neighborhood misfits who unexpectedly gain superpowers and fight against villains threatening the peace of Haeseong.

After crossing paths on a remote island, they embark on a heartwarming journey of saving lives and learning about love as they get to know the island’s residents.

As Do Ji Eui actively avoids islands due to a past trauma, getting assigned to Pyeondong is his worst nightmare. However, he gradually begins to undergo a transformation after becoming entangled with Yook Ha Ri, a warm and caring nurse who has returned to her island hometown with a secret.

Just six episodes into its run, ENA’s “The Scarecrow” has already made network history!

On May 5, “The Scarecrow” climbed to its highest viewership ratings yet, continuing its perfect streak of seeing its ratings rise with each new episode. According to Nielsen Korea, the latest episode of the mystery thriller took first place in its time slot across all channels with an average nationwide rating of 7.41 percent.

Not only was “The Scarecrow” the most-watched show to air on any cable network on Tuesday, but it has now broken the record for the highest viewership ratings ever achieved by an ENA Monday-Tuesday drama.

Notably, the previous record was set by the series finale of the hit drama “Ms. Incognito,” which ended on an average nationwide rating of 7.1 percent last year—and which “The Scarecrow” managed to overtake in only six episodes. With “The Scarecrow” already gaining steam at an impressive rate, it remains to be seen just how much higher its record will rise in the weeks to come.

“Fifties Professionals” is an action-comedy about three seemingly ordinary but secretly dangerous middle-aged men who are brought back into action by destiny. The three men, who once reigned at the top of their respective fields, find themselves exiled to the remote island of Yeongseon after a mysterious incident. There, they begin a bittersweet and comedic quest to uncover the truth about the fateful day from 10 years ago that changed their lives.

Kim Sang Kyung will appear in the drama as Han Kyung Wook, a former elite black agent for the National Intelligence Service who operated in the field a generation ahead of protagonist Jung Ho Myung (Shin Ha Kyun).

After getting a taste for power and wealth, Han Kyung Wook became involved in illicit dealings linked to North Korea and eventually established a vast criminal network. He then went on to enter the political arena, and after serving two terms as a National Assembly member, he sets his sights on becoming mayor.

Han Kyung Wook’s goal is to turn Yeongseon Island into a major hub for vice and crime in order to obtain even greater wealth and power.

Kwon Yul will play the role of Chairman Do, who boasts a flawless public image as a handsome and well-spoken businessman who was educated overseas at a prestigious university. In reality, however, he is merely a puppet acting on Han Kyung Wook’s orders, constantly gripped by the fear that he, too, may eventually be cast aside.

IU donated a total of 100 million won (approximately $68,145) under the name “IUAENA” (a combination of “IU” and “UAENA,” the name of her official fan club). The star donated 50 million won each to both the Korea Child Welfare Association and the Korea Association of Community Child Centers.

IU’s donations will go towards funding supplies and medical care for children living in child welfare facilities, along with providing children with gifts and cultural experiences for their birthdays at regional children’s centers.

Meanwhile, Kim Go Eun donated 50 million won (approximately $34,072) to Seoul National University Children’s Hospital, marking her sixth consecutive year donating to the hospital on Children’s Day. Because she was advised to “minimize back-straining movements,” Yeji will be limiting her participation in ITZY’s performances at their upcoming “TUNNEL VISION” concerts in Japan on May 9 and 10.

Mok Hae Won (Park Min Young) is a cellist, but has had it with work and the petty politics at play. She decides to move away from Seoul to her hometown, a quiet village where life and everything else is slow paced.

She wants to revaluate her life, goals, and find those parts of herself that have been fragmented and lost. She reunites with her old schoolmate Eun Seob (Seo Kang Jun), a shy bookstore owner. Eun Seob is a simple guy and one at home in the village. Eun Seob had once confessed to Hae Won that he liked her, but she had made nothing out of it.

But once back, she keeps running into him; after all you cannot avoid each other in a small quaint village. As she adjusts to her new life, she also joins a book cafe at Eun Seop’s bookstore so as to meet new people. She finds herself drawn towards Eun Seob, a kind-hearted man who owns his vulnerabilities and is one of the most reliable men around.

The two grow close, and as love blossoms, they both embark on a journey of healing and self care. A show which feels like the arrival of summer after a bleak winter, it embraces you with its warmth and feel good nature. And paired with a realistic narrative, you also see natural performances by its lead pair.

Chae Yong Ju (Kim Se Jeong) is a sales manager at a liquor company. She is a toughie and one so adept at her job that she is the most reliable employee in the company.

But for someone who is extremely influential in making deals and handling the company’s stocks, she comes across her biggest challenge ever. She needs to convince the reclusive yet brilliant brewmaster Yun Min Ju (Lee Jong Won) to sell his recipe to her company.

Min Ju lives a life of solitude in the village and is super sensitive to the energies of those around him. Neither does he want to commercialize or mainstream his beer or craft. He’s content with brewing in limited quantities.

Yong Ju leaves no stone unturned in trying to persuade him, but he remains unrelenting. Through the course of their interactions, they discover a past connection as well as face their own bruised and traumatic pasts. Both of them have had it tough, but their coping mechanisms are different. Yong Ju is an extrovert, while Min Ju is an introvert.

Over beer, we get a frothy romance that also exposes family dynamics, societal conditioning, and fractured relationships. Kim Se Jeong is vivacious and is complimented by Lee Jong Won as the gentle Min Ju. The drama also explores loneliness, emotional wounds, and the different ways with which people cope with trauma.

“The Scarecrow” has unveiled new stills ahead of its upcoming episode!

“The Scarecrow” follows a detective investigating a series of murders who is forced into an unlikely partnership with a man he despises. Set between 1988 and 2019, the suspenseful story tracks two men bound by misfortune and an uneasy alliance of hatred as they chase the truth across 30 years.

In the previous episode, Kang Tae Joo (Park Hae Soo) returned after teaming up with Cha Si Young (Lee Hee Joon) and resumed the investigation into the Gangseong serial murder case. Through Seo Ji Won (Kwak Sun Young), he learned that the killer’s handkerchief matched Kang Soon Young’s (Seo Ji Hye), leading him to suspect her boyfriend Lee Ki Beom (Song Geon Hee).

Meanwhile, Kang Soon Young hid Lee Ki Beom, who was wanted for assaulting Jeon Kyung Ho (Kang Jung Woo), in her home storage shed. That night, Lee Ki Beom fled, leaving her behind. Kang Soon Young immediately went after him but ran into the attacker and was assaulted. Cha Si Young, who tried to help, was also stabbed and lost consciousness, raising the level of danger.

In the newly released stills, Detective Jang Myung Do (Jeon Jae Hong) and police officers are seen entering Lee Ki Beom’s home and facing off in a tense standoff with the family. Jang Myung Do is holding a search warrant for the residence.

Lee Ki Beom’s mother (Sung Yeo Jin), unable to accept the idea that her son is a serial killer, grabs Kang Tae Joo and vents her anger and frustration.

Lee Ki Beom’s older brother and hometown friend Lee Ki Hwan (Jung Moon Sung) also looks at him with resentment, while Kang Tae Joo cannot bring himself to raise his head, as if he is at fault.

Seo Ji Won, a friend of both of them, looks very worried, while Kang Soon Young holds back tears over Lee Ki Beom, whose whereabouts are unknown.

In contrast, Cha Si Young stands apart with his arms crossed, watching the situation calmly and without emotion.

The production team said, “In episode 5, which airs today, several circumstances and clues point to Lee Ki Beom as a suspect, leaving Kang Tae Joo confused. As the series of murders in Gangseong continues, residents’ distrust of and opposition to the police grow stronger, and the Gangseong Police Station faces increasing pressure from both inside and outside.”

The next episode of “The Scarecrow” airs on May 4 at 10 p.m. KST.
