“Bloodhounds 2” has released new stills highlighting its cameo appearances!

First released in 2023, “Bloodhounds” is an action noir about two young people who step into the world of loan sharks in pursuit of money and get caught up in a web of much darker forces. After taking down a loan shark ring in the first season, Gun Woo (Woo Do Hwan) and Woo Jin (Lee Sang Yi) are set to take on a global underground boxing league led by Baek Jeong (Rain) in Season 2.

Following its premiere on April 3, Season 2 has drawn attention for its lineup of cameo appearances, including Ryu Soo Young, Park Seo Joon, Dex, Lee Seol, Ha Young, Gong Myoung, and more.

Ryu Soo Young makes a return as Doo Young, the right-hand man of legendary loan shark boss Choi (Heo Joon Ho) from Season 1. Previously a reliable senior to Gun Woo and Woo Jin, Doo Young appears again in Season 2. Director Kim Joo Hwan explained, “Doo Young has been living in seclusion with a sense of guilt for not being able to protect someone he loved, but he has always been ready to step in when needed. His role as someone who now fights alongside Gun Woo and Woo Jin as a comrade, rather than as a mentor, reflects their growth.”

Park Seo Joon—who previously worked with director Kim Joo Hwan on “Midnight Runners”—appears alongside Dex and Lee Seol as a trio of black agents, Choi Shin Hyung, Han Seul Gi, and An Eh Seo. The director shared, “These were unique characters that had to be defined purely through the actors’ charisma and presence rather than extensive backstories. I’m grateful the three actors gladly joined the project.”

Other appearances include Gong Myoung, Ryu Kyung Soo, Ha Young, and Jo Hyun Jae. Gong Myoung plays Dong Hyun, a taekwondo athlete who warmly sends his support to Gun Woo as a fan, while Ryu Kyung Soo takes on the role of the calm and composed Detective Choi. Ha Young, as Nurse Yoon, showcases great chemistry with Woo Jin, and Jo Hyun Jae makes a notable cameo as Myung Hwan, a member of the elite police academy group Cheongsolhoe.

Oh Jung Se has shared more insights into his character in JTBC’s upcoming drama “We Are All Trying Here”!

“We Are All Trying Here” tells the story of Hwang Dong Man (Koo Kyo Hwan), who, surrounded by successful friends, believes he is the only one whose life isn’t working out. Consumed by anguish, envy, and jealousy, he sets out on a journey in search of peace.

Oh Jung Se takes on the role of Park Kyung Se, a successful director who has helmed five films and is a member of an elite group of eight prominent filmmakers.

Sharing his thoughts on the character, Oh Jung Se described Park Kyung Se as “an adult who is still growing,” adding, “He may appear successful, but he is constantly striving to prove his worth—either to climb higher or to avoid falling from where he stands.” He continued, “Every line Park Kyung Se has is so valuable that I wanted to deliver them exactly as written. It almost felt like I was pressuring myself, so I aimed to portray about 98 percent of them faithfully.”

The drama also marks a reunion between Oh Jung Se and director Cha Young Hoon, who previously worked together on “When the Camellia Blooms.” Oh Jung Se shared, “I felt both grateful and at ease to reunite with a director I worked with on such a great project.” He added, “On set this time as well, he provided a strong sense of direction while allowing the actors the freedom to perform.”

The dynamic between Hwang Dong Man, who has spent 20 years as an aspiring director without success, and Park Kyung Se, who feels anxious despite his success, serves as both a source of humor and a portrayal of characters struggling with feelings of worthlessness. Beneath their relationship lies a mutual desire to hide their most insecure selves from one another.

Oh Jung Se noted, “While the world may see Hwang Dong Man as someone full of inferiority complex, Park Kyung Se actually sees him as ‘another version of himself.’” He added, “They support and envy each other at the same time—an indispensable relationship. That’s why, to Park Kyung Se, Hwang Dong Man is an ‘OK cut’ that can’t be edited out of his life.”

He also spoke about his chemistry with the other members of the eight-person group, saying, “It felt incredibly real, as if actual film directors had been brought together, so I was able to enjoy every scene comfortably.”

In particular, he expressed deep respect for Kang Mal Geum, who plays Go Hye Jin—his wife and the head of production company Gobak Film—saying, “It was a very special experience as I was able to feel emotions beyond what I had imagined while reading the script at my desk. I often encountered raw, unfiltered emotions that could only be experienced on set.”

On April 6, Lee Seung Gi’s legal representative released the following official statement:

Hello, this is attorney Yoon Yong Seok of Hyunmyung Law Office representing Lee Seung Gi.

On behalf of Lee Seung Gi (hereinafter, the “Artist”), we would like to state our official position regarding the termination of the Artist’s exclusive contract, among other related matters.

Citing Big Planet Made Entertainment Co., Ltd. (hereinafter, the “Agency”)’s breach of the exclusive contract, the Artist notified the Agency of termination in late March, and as a result, the above exclusive contract has been lawfully terminated.

Despite various issues surrounding the Agency in recent months, the departure of artists affiliated with the Agency, and the non-payment of certain settlement amounts, the Artist initially made efforts to maintain the relationship of trust. However, from September of last year up to the present, settlement payments have not been made, and problems have also arisen with respect to support for the Artist’s entertainment activities, as well as the payment of costs to on-site staff and related external vendors.

In response, the Artist requested access to basic documents concerning the contractual relationship and related matters in order to secure transparency in settlements, but this request was also refused without any legitimate reason.

Accordingly, the Artist notified the Agency in late March that he was terminating the exclusive contract, and in doing so, the exclusive contract was lawfully terminated and its effect has fully come to an end.

Going forward, the Artist will do his utmost to ensure that no unforeseen harm arises for other related parties due to this situation, and he will also carry out his scheduled engagements without disruption. Above all, we would like to emphasize that he will continue his entertainment activities with a strong sense of responsibility so as not to disappoint his fans and the staff who work hard on site.

Ahn Hyo Seop has personally shared behind-the-scenes insights about his character in the upcoming drama “Sold Out on You”!

“Sold Out on You” is a romantic comedy about the unexpected love story between Matthew Lee (Ahn Hyo Seop), a perfectionist farmer juggling multiple jobs, and Dam Ye Jin (Chae Won Bin), a top home shopping show host who suffers from severe insomnia.

“Sold Out on You” is a project that reunites Ahn Hyo Seop with SBS for the first time since the drama “Business Proposal.” Regarding this, Ahn Hyo Seop said, “It’s a bit embarrassing to be called ‘SBS’ son,’ but at the same time, I feel like I can rely on and trust them. Also, it’s been a long time since I’ve done a light-hearted romantic comedy after ‘Business Proposal,’ so that’s something I’m looking forward to as well. I’m grateful that I get to be part of this project,” expressing his appreciation for the strong interest and attention.

When asked to describe his character Matthew Lee in one keyword, Ahn Hyo Seop answered, “pineapple bun,” and recalled his first impression: “He looks stiff and cold on the outside, but inside he has a warm heart. Even if it doesn’t seem that way, he really takes care of the people around him and puts his heart into them—and because of that, Matthew felt like the kind of guy who needs attention and love too. I think that’s why I was drawn to him even more.”

Regarding the portrayal of his chartacter, Ahn Hyo Seop shared, “When he is working, I paid a lot of attention to his gaze. He is someone who pulls off so many roles—a young farmer, the CEO of a raw-materials company, a cosmetics researcher, and more—so I thought that in his own field, he would be professional and flawless. On the other hand, I figured he would be clumsy when it came to relationships with the people in the village. I imagined a cute side to him—snappy and curt but still wanting to help; not perfect but trying hard,” explaining the points he focused on in his own way.

Lastly, Ahn Hyo Seop highlighted, “This is a drama viewers can watch while they are eating. I think good messages are universal. Everyone has various worries in everyday life—not just in Korea but everywhere in the world—and each person has their own stress, but I hope this can be the kind of series that offers comfort, even if just for a moment while you enjoy a tasty meal.”

Things are getting edgier and darker as both Bang Tae Seop (Ju Ji Hoon) and Chu Sang Ah (Ha Ji Won) are being pushed against the wall. When a video broadcast accuses Sang Ah of being the chief perpetrator in Oh Gwang Jae’s (Seo Hyun Woo) murder, the allegations impact Tae Seop’s political candidature. As both stand to lose everything they have built, it is time for them to up their game.

Tae Seop threatens Chairman Kwon (Kim Hong Pa) with proof that could destroy the very edifice of WR Enterprises. Meanwhile, Park Jae Sang (Lee Ga Seop), who is on the run, threatens to reveal a recording exposing Sang Ah and Tae Seop.

And Jeong Won (Nana), though set up by Tae Seop to shadow Sang Ah, stands up defiantly against him.

But it seems everyone is a mere pawn in Tae Seop and Sang Ah’s game, as the couple is the one pulling the strings. Here are four of those moments in the latest episodes of “Climax.”

1. Jeong Won switches sides

Jeong Won has been assigned by Tae Seop to shadow Sang Ah both on set and beyond. When she overhears a conversation between Tae Seop and Sang Ah, she trails Sang Ah’s car. Episode 4 ended with Sang Ah’s shocked face as she sees her name splashed across billboards in connection with Gwang Jae’s murder. We now see the face of the person standing behind her: it is Jeong Won.

Jeong Won ushers her into the car and drives away. When Sang Ah sees Tae Seop’s number flash on Jeong Won’s phone, she understands that her husband has been having her followed and surveilled.

Jeong Won admits that although Tae Seop brought her onto the job, her reasons for following Sang Ah were simple: she wanted to make sure she was okay. She brings Sang Ah to her home and switches off her phone. In that moment, it becomes clear that she has chosen her side. This is not an act of rebellion but rather Jeong Won’s emotional alignment toward Sang Ah.

She confesses that during her darkest moments, Sang Ah felt like a beacon of light—someone who cried with her and looked out for her. As she shares her story, flashbacks reveal a teenage Jeong Won living with her mother, both subjected to constant abuse by her alcoholic father. After her mother dies by suicide, Jeong Won kills her father and is arrested. She recalls that on the day of her mother’s death, she saw Sang Ah on TV, crying for her own mother. Reel or real, both women were mourning their loss. This parallel binds both women beyond their circumstances.

Jeong Won tells her that Tae Seop was the lawyer who helped reduce her sentence. After prison, her life only grew darker, marked by violence and substance abuse. She met Tae Seop again while trying to flee a drug bust, after which she begins working for him. Jeong Won reveals that shadowing Sang Ah was, in her own way, an act of protection.

Sang Ah, already delirious, mistakes Jeong Won for her lover Ji Soo and kisses her. Jeong Won is stunned, but her expression reveals much more. These are two women bound by similar fates—both manipulated by the same man for his own interests. It becomes clear that if Jeong Won has to pick a side, she will choose Sang Ah’s.

Tae Seop, unhappy with Jeong Won’s defiance, admonishes her. But Jeong Won, having seen through him, is resolute. Her loyalty has shifted into something far more dangerous.

2. Tae Seop makes his move

Tae Seop’s political ambitions have taken a huge hit. His wife has been labeled a murderer, and he, as the prosecutor who tampered with evidence, is equally complicit. The political party does not want to endorse him, and even Kwon Jong Wook (Oh Jung Se), the heir to the WR Group who had promised to support and fund his candidature, is avoiding him.

The floodgates have opened, and Tae Seop is clear that if he drowns, the rest will go down with him. He clearly warns Jong Wook that along with him, the WR Group will crash down like a house of cards. This is the moment he flips the game. Cornered and powerless in public, he becomes the most dangerous player.

It is time for him to divulge what he knows, that it wasn’t Jae Sang but a hitman appointed by Chairman Kwon who killed Gwang Jae. He arrives at the chairman’s birthday banquet and threatens him with the evidence. Tae Seop is clear that either the chairman’s wife, Lee Yang Mi (Cha Joo Young), stops Jae Sang and the YouTuber from broadcasting the videos, or he goes public with the evidence he has.

The chairman goes into shock and collapses. Tae Seop walks out calmly, fully aware of the chaos he has caused. Meanwhile, Lee Yang Mi, desperate to hold onto control, worries not about her husband’s health, but about the will and her daughter’s shares in WR’s fortunes. She asks the YouTuber to stop the broadcast and think of a Plan B. Her grip is tenuous and her desperation is clear. Jong Wook, on the other hand, remains unfazed. He doesn’t care for his father, and he seems to relish in his stepmother’s discomfort as her position weakens.

At this point, the balance of power tilts. Tae Seop has become a wild card, Yang Mi is on the defensive, Jong Wook watches the chaos, and it is time for Sang Ah to dictate a new game.

3. Sang Ah sets the stage

An actor is always an actor. If there is something Sang Ah knows, it is how to perfectly mask her emotions and, most importantly, her intentions.

When she learns Tae Seop has tried to thwart the release of the video, she makes her first move. She heads out to Jae Sang’s neighborhood, well aware that he will turn up there. She spots his mother, a waste picker, and falls at her feet, begging the old lady’s forgiveness.

Jae Sang watches the exchange, clearly triggered by her presence. She asks him to speak with her, looking miserable. For a moment you almost believe her. She invites him to the neighborhood cafe and is very aware that a crowd is gathering around, even though her manager has blocked entry inside. She provokes and mocks Jae Sang, calling him naive to think they had a future. He attacks and nearly chokes her, and the moment captured on camera by onlookers outside.

As her manager rushes in to rescue her, Jae Sang flees, and the video goes viral. This is a moment cleverly orchestrated by Sang Ah, even at the risk of her own life.

Meanwhile, Jae Sang is stung by the deception and announces he will be hosting a livestream to divulge the truth regarding Sang Ah and Tae Seop. The moment becomes national news.

Jeong Won, assigned by Tae Seop to locate Jae Sang, is trying to locate him. As soon as she figures out the location, she gets a message from Sang Ah. Jeong Won freezes. She rushes to the hotel and barges into Sang Ah’s room to find her lying unconscious in a pool of blood. She has self-inflicted serious injuries on herself. Jeong Won is shocked and gutted and rushes her to the hospital. The message that Sang Ah sent her flashes, which clearly says she knew Jeong Won would come to her when she reads them. Is it yet another clever move by Sang Ah?

As the news spreads, there is a shift in opinion. Sang Ah is the victim, her actions framed as an extreme step driven by the media witch hunt and Jae Sang’s threats.

Tae Seop lands at the hospital, worried, and for once looking lost. He recalls his own father, who had taken his own life after being wrongly accused. This is the first time one sees a shred of remorse on Tae Seop’s face, and you would almost think this man has a moral compass.

But when he visits Sang Ah after her surgery, he realizes this is the second act of Sang Ah turning the public opinion in their favor. The games have just begun.

4. Sang Ah and Tae Seop, partners in performance

Once again, Tae Seop and Sang Ah step in together, playing the perfect act. Sang Ah tells Tae Seop this was the only way to keep each other from falling off the cliff. They both need their careers and must navigate public opinion in their favor.

And time is running out. Jae Sang has not been found, and the livestream is about to begin. At the appointed hour, everyone is in for a shock. Instead of Jae Sang appearing on screen, it is his dead body. But who killed him?

As investigations begin, Tae Seop and Sang Ah address a press conference, apologizing to the public for the inconvenience caused. The two claim to be equally distressed and are eager to move past the scandal and return to their lives.

They are summoned for questioning regarding Jae Sang’s death and are informed that he was killed by a woman. Both act surprised, insisting they know nothing.

The scene shifts to the final moments before Jae Sang’s death. A silhouette enters the room, and when the person exits, it is revealed to be Jeong Won. As she stares into the CCTV, there is no remorse on her face. Jeong Won has taken the fall for Sang Ah.

But what happens next, and where do the two go from here? We will only have to wait for the next episodes.

On April 6, Netflix confirmed that they are producing the new office romance “Fall in! Love” starring Park Hyung Sik and Park Gyu Young.

MBC’s upcoming Friday–Saturday drama “Perfect Crown” has released a highlight video ahead of its premiere!

Set in an alternate universe where modern-day Korea is a constitutional monarchy, “Perfect Crown” tells the love story of Seong Hui Ju (IU), a chaebol heiress who has everything but is only a commoner in status, and Grand Prince Ian (Byeon Woo Seok), a prince who has nothing despite being the son of the king.

In the newly revealed teaser, chaebol heiress Seong Hui Ju and Prince Ian, the second son of the royal family, are shown going through the process that leads to a contract marriage. Seong Hui Ju, a commoner who has constantly been subjected to scrutiny because she is also an illegitimate child, chooses marriage into the royal family in order to break past the limits of her social status.

Prince Ian’s situation is hardly easy either. While being pressured into marriage amid suspicion and doubt surrounding the throne, he receives Seong Hui Ju’s sudden proposal. Though their marriage begins for different reasons, the two gradually grow closer, hinting at a shift in their relationship.

However, the road to marriage is anything but smooth. Everyone—the Prime Minister Min Jeong Woo (Noh Sang Hyun), the Queen Dowager Yoon Irang (Gong Seung Yeon), other royal figures, and even public opinion—opposes the two of them being together, and on top of that, threats directed at Seong Hui Ju further heighten the tension.

Even so, the two don’t back down. Seong Hui Ju cheers him on, telling him, “Don’t let them bend you,” and Prince Ian reveals his feelings, saying, “I’m doing this for you.” Anticipation is growing for how a relationship that began as a contract will gradually turn into something genuine.

ENHYPEN’s latest mini album is a stable hit on the Billboard 200!

Back in January, ENHYPEN’s “THE SIN : VANISH” debuted at No. 2 on Billboard’s Top 200 Albums chart, tying the group’s personal record for their highest-ranking album to date.

Over two months later, “THE SIN : VANISH” is now spending its 10th consecutive week on the Billboard 200, where it ranked No. 184 this week.

Notably, “THE SIN : VANISH” is only ENHYPEN’s second album ever to spend 10 consecutive weeks on the Billboard 200, following their 2024 album “ROMANCE : UNTOLD.” (The group’s 2023 mini album “DARK BLOOD” also spent 10 weeks on the Billboard 200, but they were non-consecutive: the album dropped off the chart after eight weeks, then re-entered it later on.)

“THE SIN : VANISH” also maintained its position at No. 2 on Billboard’s World Albums chart, in addition to staying strong at No. 9 on the Top Album Sales chart—meaning it was the ninth best-selling album of the week in the United States.

Meanwhile, ENHYPEN made Billboard’s Artist 100 at No. 89 this week, marking their 88th overall week on the chart.

BTS’s new album “ARIRANG” has just achieved a historic feat on the Billboard 200!

On April 5 local time, Billboard announced that “ARIRANG,” which debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 last week after achieving the biggest week of any album by a Korean artist to date, was now spending its second week at the top of the chart.

“ARIRANG” is the first album by a Korean artist ever to spend more than one week at No. 1 on the Billboard 200, which ranks the most popular albums in the United States.

In addition to spending a second week at No. 1 on the Billboard 200, “ARIRANG” also remained No. 1 on the Top Album Sales chart, meaning it was the best-selling album in the United States for the second week in a row.

According to Luminate (formerly Nielsen Music), “ARIRANG” earned 187,000 equivalent album units during the week ending on April 2. The album’s total score included 114,000 traditional album sales, 8,000 track equivalent album (TEA) units, and 65,000 streaming equivalent album (SEA) units—which translates to 68.49 million on-demand audio streams in the album’s second week.
