Both BLACKPINK’s Jennie and Tame Impala have scored their first top 10 hit on Billboard’s Hot 100!

This week, Jennie and Tame Impala’s collab remix of “Dracula” soared to a new peak of No. 10 on the Hot 100 (which ranks the most popular songs in the United States), making it both singer’s first song ever to enter the top 10 of the chart.

With this achievement, Jennie has joined Rosé as the second member of BLACKPINK to reach the top 10 of the Hot 100 as a soloist. Rosé previously hit No. 3 on the chart with her Bruno Mars collab “APT.” last year.

As a result, BLACKPINK has become the fifth all-female group to have two different members break the top 10 of the Hot 100 as soloists, following Destiny’s Child (Beyonçe and Kelly Rowland), Fifth Harmony (Camila Cabello and Normani), The Go-Go’s (Belinda Carlisle and Jane Wiedlin), and The Runaways (Lita Ford and Joan Jett).

Outside of the Hot 100, “Dracula” took No. 1 on both Billboard’s Hot Dance/Electronic Songs chart and the Hot Rock & Alternative Songs chart this week.

The rankings were determined through an analysis of the consumer participation, media coverage, interaction, community awareness, and viewership indexes of 21 popular dramas, using big data collected from April 12 to May 12.

“Perfect Crown” topped this month’s list with a brand reputation index of 1,314,750. High-ranking phrases in the drama’s keyword analysis included “Byeon Woo Seok,” “IU,” and “OST,” while its highest-ranking related terms included “success,” “pioneer,” and “awkward.” The show’s positivity-negativity analysis revealed a score of 90.58 percent positive reactions.

Meanwhile, “Recipe for Love” took second place with a brand reputation index of 4,585,562 for May.

“The Scarecrow” came in at a close third, debuting on the list with a brand reputation index of 4,418,691.

“Our Happy Days” ranked fourth with a brand reputation index of 4,189,662, while “Phantom Lawyer” rounded out the top five with a score of 3,651,840.

“Fifties Professionals” is an action-comedy about three seemingly ordinary but secretly dangerous middle-aged men who are brought back into action by destiny. The three men, who once reigned at the top of their respective fields, find themselves exiled to the remote island of Yeongseon after a mysterious incident. There, they begin a bittersweet and comedic quest to uncover the truth about the fateful day from 10 years ago that changed their lives.

The newly released posters spotlight Jung Ho Myung (Shin Ha Kyun), Bong Je Soon (Oh Jung Se), and Kang Beom Ryong (Heo Sung Tae), while a separate group poster also features Kang Young Ae (Kim Shin Rok), Chairman Do (Kwon Yul), Ma Gong Bok (Lee Hak Joo), Park Mi Kyung (Han Ji Eun), and Yoo In Goo (Hyun Bong Sik).

The newly released group poster further heightens intrigue by gathering characters with different motives in one place. At the center is Jung Ho Myung, a former National Intelligence Service agent who has spent the past decade hiding his identity while working as a chef at Oran Chinese Restaurant. Alongside him are North Korean operative Bong Je Soon, who lost his memories from 10 years ago, and Kang Beom Ryong, the longtime second-in-command of the Hwasan gang who now runs a convenience store. Their differing expressions and gazes hint at the complex relationships tying them together.

Adding to the tension are Chairman Do and Yoo In Goo, whose sharp and confrontational presence suggests they stand in opposition to the trio. Prosecutor Kang Young Ae, seen making a phone call with a cold expression, also hints at the beginning of a dangerous incident.

The wary looks exchanged between the characters raise questions about “that incident” from 10 years ago and the mysterious missing object connected to it all. On May 12 local time, Billboard announced that ILLIT had achieved their highest ranking yet on the Top 200 Albums chart, which ranks the most popular albums in the United States. ILLIT’s new mini album “MAMIHLAPINATAPAI” debuted at No. 26 on the Billboard 200, marking their first time entering the top 50.

“MAMIHLAPINATAPAI” is ILLIT’s fourth album to enter the Billboard 200, following “SUPER REAL ME” (which peaked at No. 93), “I’LL LIKE YOU” (No. 94), and “bomb” (No. 171).

Outside of the Billboard 200, ILLIT topped three Billboard charts this week: the group re-entered the Emerging Artists chart at No. 1, while “MAMIHLAPINATAPAI” debuted at No. 1 on both the World Albums chart and the Top Dance Albums chart.

The upcoming film “Strange Snack Shop Jeoncheondang” (literal title) has unveiled new stills featuring Ra Mi Ran!

Based on a Japanese best-selling novel, “Strange Snack Shop Jeoncheondang” is a fantasy film about magical events that take place when customers carrying lucky coins visit Jeoncheondang, a snack store that grants wishes. The live-action film was produced in South Korea and is scheduled to hit theaters in May, followed by a 12-episode series release in the second half of the year.

Ra Mi Ran plays Hong Ja, the owner of Jecheondang, who gives special snacks to people with different worries and personal stories.

Newly released stills show Ra Mi Ran’s transformed look, featuring a grand hanbok and silver hair. With a strong resemblance to the original character and an added sense of mystery, she has a distinctive on-screen presence.

In more stills, she shows a friendly side by offering warm smiles to customers, while also showing a more human charm through her signature cheerful facial expressions.

In contrast, the mood shifts sharply in the stills where she faces Yomi (Lee Re), the owner of her rival shop Hwaangdang. Instead of a gentle demeanor, she displays a cold charisma that builds tension and teases their relationship in the story.

Behind this carefully crafted visual transformation was Ra Mi Ran’s meticulous effort. She continued filming for long hours while wearing a wig weighing about 3 kilograms and multiple layers of hanbok, and she went through an average makeup process of about 2 hours and 30 minutes each time.

Ra Mi Ran said, “Hong Ja is already a character familiar to many readers, so I felt a lot of pressure. I wanted to portray a Korean-style Hong Ja by blending my own warm and approachable image.” She continued, “The moment I stepped onto the Jeoncheondang set with silver hair and a hanbok, it felt like I had entered a fairy-tale world.”

“Strange Snack Shop Jeoncheondang” will premiere in theaters nationwide on May 29.

Upcoming film “Wild Sing” has unveiled new stills featuring Kang Dong Won!

On May 12, the production team released stills of Kang Dong Won as Hyun Woo, the leader and dance machine of the co-ed dance group TRIANGLE on stage.

“Wild Sing” is a comedy movie that follows the story of TRIANGLE, a once-popular co-ed trio that fell into obscurity after an unfortunate incident. The film depicts their chaotic journey as they attempt to reunite and make a comeback.

The standout feature in the newly released stills is Kang Dong Won’s bold styling. He effortlessly pulls off oversized wide-leg pants inspired by the street fashion trend of the early 2000s, along with a blunt bob with highlighted streaks.

In addition to Hyun Woo pulling off popular accessories from the era, including goggles on his head and gloves on his hands, his intense gaze and striking physique show why his character is a “fan magnet.”

Kang Dong Won’s transformation goes beyond his appearance. The production team shared that he completed about five months of intensive choreography training to fully portray his character.

In one still, Kang Dong Won shows fluid movements, as well as a high-difficulty “freeze” pose that requires him to support his body with one hand.

Choreographer Yang Wook, who worked on the performance, praised him, saying, “He understands the appeal of dance precisely. Thanks to his commanding physique, he has an outstanding ability to express movement with just subtle touches.”

“The Scarecrow” has shared new stills ahead of its upcoming episode!

“The Scarecrow” follows a detective investigating a series of murders who is forced into an unlikely partnership with a man he despises. Set between 1988 and 2019, the suspenseful story tracks two men bound by misfortune and an uneasy alliance of hatred as they chase the truth across 30 years.

Previously in the drama, the truth behind Lee Ki Beom (Song Geon Hee’s) death after he was cleared of false accusations, as well as the identity of serial killer Lee Yong Woo, which had been hidden for 30 years, were revealed. While Lim Seok Man (Baek Seung Hwan), who was newly identified as a suspect, was arrested, the recently released Lee Ki Beom died on his way home. The cause of death was revealed to be organ damage and sepsis resulting from assault and torture. Moreover, the revelation that Lee Ki Beom already knew the true identity of his older brother Lee Ki Hwan (Jung Moon Sung) further heightened the tension.

In the newly released photos, Kang Tae Joo (Park Hae Soo) grabs Cha Si Young (Lee Hee Joon) by the collar and glares at him with eyes full of rage. Cha Si Young, however, stares back at Kang Tae Joo without wavering, creating a tense atmosphere.

In a previously released preview for the upcoming episode, Kang Tae Joo was seen crying out in anger, saying, “Are you even human? How could you pin those kinds of charges on me?” This raises curiosity about where the relationship between the two men—which had been going back and forth between cooperation and betrayal—is headed.

The idea of “worshipping” someone, as shown in the drama, is layered. On one hand, it reflects a deep human desire to be valued without judgment—to have someone who believes in you completely. “Daily Dose of Sunshine”

Adapted from the webtoon “Morning Comes to Psychiatric Wards,” this K-drama follows Jung Da Eun (Park Bo Young), a sincere and hardworking nurse whose life takes an unexpected turn when she is transferred from Internal Medicine to the Psychiatric Department at Myungshin University Hospital. In her previous role, everything was about speed and precision. But here, she begins meeting patients with vastly different struggles, each story revealing just how layered and delicate the human mind can be.

In the beginning, the drama feels almost like a collection of individual cases. Each episode introduces people dealing with anxiety, delusions, or emotional burdens shaped by their personal lives. But just as you settle into this structure, the narrative shifts. A heartbreaking incident leaves Da Eun shaken, and for the first time, she isn’t just the one offering support, but she becomes someone who needs it. 

Feelings like anxiety and depression are portrayed in ways that you can almost see and experience, making the characters’ inner battles more real. “Move to Heaven”

Inspired by the non-fiction essay “Things Left Behind” by Kim Sae Byul, the story centers on Cho Sang Gu (Lee Je Hoon), a former convict and underground MMA fighter who has grown tough, distant, and emotionally guarded. His life takes an unexpected turn when he is suddenly made the guardian of his nephew, Han Geu Ru (Tang Jun Sang), a 20-year-old with Asperger’s syndrome. Geu Ru sees the world differently. His sharp memory and quiet sensitivity allow him to notice emotions and stories others often miss. Yoon Na Mu (Hong Seung Hee), Geu Ru’s close friend and neighbor, looks out for him while also keeping Sang Gu in check. Meanwhile, the lingering presence of Geu Ru’s father, Han Jeong U (Ji Jin Hee), through flashbacks, brings a sense of comfort and reminds us of the values that shaped their work at “Move to Heaven.”

After his father’s sudden passing, Geu Ru is left on his own, and Sang Gu steps in because he has no other choice. To officially become Geu Ru’s guardian, he must live with him for three months and help run the family’s trauma-cleaning business. At first, Sang Gu treats it like just another job, clearing out belongings without much thought. But Geu Ru handles each task with care, preserving meaningful items in a “yellow box” so that the stories of the deceased can reach their loved ones.

As they take on different cases, each one uncovers deeply human stories of love, loneliness, regret, and injustice. Slowly, these experiences begin to affect Sang Gu. Through Geu Ru’s honesty and compassion, he starts to confront his own buried pain and unresolved past. What begins as an uneasy partnership gradually turns into something more meaningful, becoming a quiet, moving journey of healing, connection, and understanding.

At the heart of the story is Park Dong Hoon (Lee Sun Kyun), a middle-aged structural engineer who seems calm and reliable on the surface but is quietly carrying a lot inside. His workplace is toxic, his marriage is falling apart, and yet he continues to show up every day, trying to do right by his family. On the other hand, Lee Ji An (IU) is someone whose life has been especially harsh. She lives in extreme poverty, works multiple jobs just to get by, and is constantly under threat from loan sharks. Because of everything she’s been through, she has learned to shut people out emotionally, even as she takes care of her sick grandmother.

Dong Hoon’s world also revolves around his brothers. Park Sang Hoon (Park Ho San), the eldest, is stuck in a cycle of failed business attempts and uncertainty, while Park Ki Hoon (Song Sae Byeok), who once had big dreams of becoming a film director, struggles with where life has taken him. Eventually, the two brothers come together to run a cleaning business. Their bond, along with their close-knit group of neighborhood friends, brings moments of warmth and comfort into an otherwise heavy story. 

Things take a darker turn when Do Joon Young (Kim Young Min), Dong Hoon’s boss, starts plotting to remove him from the company. At the same time, he is secretly having an affair with Dong Hoon’s wife, Kang Yoon Hee (Lee Ji Ah). Ji An gets pulled into this situation when she is offered money to spy on Dong Hoon and help set him up. She begins secretly listening to his phone calls, hoping to find something she can use against him. However, as Ji An listens in, she begins to understand Dong Hoon as a person. She hears his struggles, his silence, and the way he quietly endures everything without asking for anything in return. Slowly, her perspective changes. In him, she sees someone who understands pain without needing to explain it.

Alongside their story, the drama beautifully captures everyday life in their neighborhood. The brothers and their friends spend time together, share meals and drinks, and support each other through life’s ups and downs. The drama is about two people who are deeply hurt in their own ways, finding quiet comfort in each other’s presence.

Joon Woong is given an unusual offer: join the team for six months, and in return, he’ll wake up from his coma sooner and have a stable future waiting for him. With nothing to lose, he agrees, stepping into a world he barely understands as its most inexperienced member. As he works alongside the team, he begins to witness the fragile, complicated realities of people’s lives.

The group itself brings together very different perspectives. Park Joong Gil (Lee Soo Hyuk), who heads the Escort Team, takes a far more rigid stance, seeing suicide as something that cannot be excused, an outlook that often clashes with Goo Ryun’s empathy-driven approach. Lim Ryoong Goo (Yoon Ji On), on the other hand, quietly holds the team together, especially as parts of his own story begin to surface. Watching over all of them is the Jade Emperor (Kim Hae Sook), a powerful presence whose connection to Goo Ryun runs deeper than it initially seems.

The narrative unfolds through individual cases, each episode focusing on different struggles, from bullying and loneliness, to mental health and unresolved pain from the past. Despite dealing with heavy themes, the show treats its characters with care and sensitivity.

Based on a popular web novel and webtoon, “The Legend of Kitchen Soldier” is a military fantasy-comedy drama that tells the story of army cook Kang Sung Jae (Park Ji Hoon). When a mysterious quest window pops up in front of him one day, Private Kang Sung Jae begins an unexpected journey that will lead him down the path toward becoming a legendary cook.

In the premiere episode of “The Legend of Kitchen Soldier,” Private Kang Sung Jae unexpectedly found himself stepping onto the path of becoming a military cook after encountering a mysterious “Chef’s Path” quest window.

After arriving at his assigned unit, Kang Sung Jae became even more bewildered when a mysterious status window also suddenly appeared before his eyes.

Things took another unexpected turn when company commander Hwang Seok Ho (Lee Sang Yi) casually assigned Kang Sung Jae to become a military cook simply because his mother runs a food truck. Suddenly thrust into the role, Kang Sung Jae began organizing ingredients under the orders of his senior Yoon Dong Hyun (Lee Hong Nae). However, the moment he entered the storage room, he received notifications from the status window announcing that he had acquired basic cook skills such as “Ingredient Organization” and “Chef’s Eye,” signaling the beginning of strange changes.

As Kang Sung Jae leveled up with the help of the system and even gained cooking recipes, he suddenly found himself having to prepare battalion commander Baek Choon Ik’s (Jung Woong In’s) breakfast alone without Yoon Dong Hyun. He ended up using a sea urchin seaweed soup recipe he had just obtained. ENA’s upcoming drama “Doctor on the Edge” has released new stills featuring Shin Ye Eun!

“Doctor on the Edge” will tell the love story of public health doctor Do Ji Eui (Lee Jae Wook), who is assigned to the notorious island Pyeondong, and nurse Yook Ha Ri (Shin Ye Eun), who is hiding a secret. After crossing paths on a remote island, they embark on a heartwarming journey of saving lives and learning about love as they get to know the island’s residents.

The newly released stills depict Yook Ha Ri, a mysterious nurse who returns to her hometown of Pyeondong. Her bright smile hints at the caring and attentive side of a perfect nurse who stays by her patients’ sides, while also revealing her cheerful and easygoing personality.

On the other hand, her worried and troubled expression heightens curiosity about the hidden secret behind Yook Ha Ri’s sudden decision to quit a prestigious university hospital and return to her hometown.

On why she chose to star in the drama, Shin Ye Eun shared, “The concept of a public health doctor felt unique, and all of the residents of Pyeondong were charming and multidimensional. I felt that the warm episodes—filled with laughter and the process of healing one another—would resonate with many viewers.”

She also described her character, saying, “She’s someone so full of love that she could even seem overly nosy, yet she is both gentle and strong. I wanted to blend my own qualities with Ha Ri’s charms to create a character viewers would love.”

She continued, “Ha Ri is a character who has to show a wide range of emotions in a short amount of time and undergo significant emotional shifts. I focused on expressing those diverse feelings harmoniously and staying locked into Ha Ri’s emotional arc.”

Lastly, Shin Ye Eun added, “I wanted to portray the warmth and professional skill of a real nurse. I sought advice, asked questions, watched related videos, and listened to real-life experiences to get closer to understanding the nursing profession,” heightening anticipation for the drama.

Yoo Seon Ho is leaving “2 Days & 1 Night Season 4.”

On May 12, the production team announced, “Yoo Seon Ho will be graduating from ‘2 Days & 1 Night.’ He will personally share his final farewell with viewers during the May 31 broadcast.”

During his final filming, Yoo Seon Ho described “2 Days & 1 Night Season 4” as “everything from my 20s.” He added, “Traveling all over the country was a priceless experience I will never forget.”

As he spent his final night with the cast, Yoo Seon Ho also shared heartfelt thoughts. “My journey on ‘2 Days & 1 Night’ has come to an end, but I’m so happy and grateful to have gained dependable older brothers who will stay in my life forever,” he said.

He also thanked viewers, saying, “I’m grateful to the viewers who loved me even though I was nobody special.”
