Upcoming film “Colony” has unveiled a making-of video ahead of its release!

Helmed by “Train to Busan” and “Peninsula” director Yeon Sang Ho, “Colony” follows the story that unfolds as a building is blockaded due to an unknown virus as those infected evolve into unpredictable forms, threatening the survivors. The film has been officially invited to the Midnight Screenings section of the 79th Cannes International Film Festival, earning critical acclaim prior to its premiere.

The newly released video showcases the film’s creative direction and the actors’ first impressions. Referencing his previous hit films, director Yeon Sang Ho explains, “While my previous projects focused on events unfolding within specific spaces, this time I wanted to focus on the zombies themselves.” Koo Kyo Hwan shares that he was intrigued by the concept of infected individuals being “updated,” while Shin Hyun Been adds that the unique mode of expression stood out to her.

The video also highlights what sets the film apart. Kim Shin Rok mentions the apocalyptic thrill created by focusing on infected beings that differ from traditional zombie tropes. Director Yeon Sang Ho further explains that the infected share information and evolve, describing the process as an “update.” Jun Ji Hyun reveals that she felt genuine fear during filming, while Ji Chang Wook and Go Soo also share their experiences working with this new filming approach. Notably, rather than relying heavily on CGI, the production enhances realism by portraying the infected through choreography and the actors’ physical movements.

The choreography team’s process for designing the infected’s movements was also revealed. From twisting their bodies and crawling on all fours immediately after infection to moving quickly on two legs or mimicking survivors’ behavior, these distinctive movements were brought to life through dancers’ performances. Choreography director Jeon Young comments, “These are grotesque movements that go beyond the limits of what the human body can express,” further heightening curiosity about the film’s depiction of the infected.

“Colony” is set to hit theaters on May 21.

tvN’s upcoming variety show “Unplanned Trip: Limited Edition” has released a new teaser!

“Unplanned Trip: Limited Edition” follows Park Seo Joon, Jung Yu Mi, and Choi Woo Shik as they travel across South Korea without knowing where they will go, where they will sleep, or how they will get there. It is a new version of the long-running “Youth Over Flowers” travel series. The show keeps the original “trip without advance notice” travel concept from “Youth Over Flowers” but adds new rules to make the journey more entertaining.

In the newly released teaser, Park Seo Joon, Jung Yu Mi, and Choi Woo Shik appear alongside PD Na Young Suk during what is presented as a live broadcast celebrating the 20th anniversary of writer Kim Dae Ju. The atmosphere quickly shifts when Na Young Suk stands up, tears down a banner, and reveals the real purpose of the gathering: a trip that begins immediately. The sudden announcement leaves the three actors visibly surprised.

From there, the trip unfolds in confusion as the cast is confronted with strict limits on both time and budget. Harsh weather adds to the challenges as heavy snow falls throughout their journey.

MBC’s “Perfect Crown” has shared a new behind-the-scenes video for episode 6!

In the newly released making-of video, IU shares, “We practiced yesterday and last week. Honestly, we’ve only practiced twice.” Explaining that their teacher taught them well, she playfully adds, “I’m doing a good job.”

While rehearsing the waltz, IU tells Byeon Woo Seok the various tips she learned from their dance teacher, such as how to bow and get pulled in. The two struggle to hold in their laughter throughout practice.

When asked what they thought about their waltz chemistry, Byeon Woo Seok answers. “It’s practically perfect.” IU honestly answers, “I was a bit nervous yesterday—I felt a bit stiff. But dancing for the second time today….” As she drifts off, both IU and Byeon Woo Seok jokingly answer, “It’s as if we’ve been dancing together all our lives,” even giving a demonstration in front of the camera.

After filming the waltz scene, the making-of camera asks the lead actors which partner they felt more compatible with when dancing. Gong Seung Yeon picks Noh Sang Hyun as he appears next to her, however, she whispers and mouths to the camera that her actual answer is Byeon Woo Seok.

Meanwhile, Byeon Woo Seok hilariously picks Noh Sang Hyun, while Noh Sang Hyun comments, “I think I’m the problem.” Byeon Woo Seok further states, “Hui Ju (IU) was gentle while Irang (Gong Seung Yeon) was sharp.” IU concludes by sharing, “I didn’t work well with either of them. The two must have also felt the same about me. We honestly all don’t know about waltz, so we can’t talk about chemistry yet. Both were difficult.”

Furthermore, the cast and crew surprise Byeon Woo Seok on his birthday with a cake and flowers. IU jokingly pretends to throw the cake at Byeon Woo Seok, drawing laughter. Child actor Kim Eun Ho sweetly sings Byeon Woo Seok a birthday song and passes out candy.

The film will showcase its large scale, spectacular events and tense suspense through IMAX’s giant screen and powerful sound, vividly portraying the struggle between the infected and survivors. It is expected to deliver an immersive experience, making viewers feel as if they are inside the sealed building.

The newly released poster symbolically depicts the infection crisis. It shows infected individuals reaching toward survivors as they form a massive, colony-like structure, strongly conveying the emergence of a new species.

Beneath the infected are six individuals. At the center, survivor leader Kwon Se Jung (Jun Ji Hyun) stands with a determined expression. Seo Young Cheol (Koo Kyo Hwan) looks up at the infected with a detached gaze, suggesting he is a key figure at the center of the crisis.

A fiery mother-daughter clash is set to unfold once again in “Our Happy Days.”

In tonight’s episode, Jo Eun Ae (Uhm Hyun Kyung) will finally confront her mother Kang Yeon Ja (Kim Hye Ok), who pressures her to make sacrifices for her older brother Jo Eun Hyung (Choi Sung Won).

Previously, Jo Eun Ae was left in tears after her mother asked her to lend money from the sale of her company to support her brother’s appointment as a professor. Deeply hurt by her mother’s constant prioritization of her son, Jo Eun Ae ultimately transfers a large sum of 200 million won (approximately $136,000) after being persuaded by her father Jo Sung Joon (Sunwoo Jae Duk) and pressured by her sister-in-law Cheon Ji Sun (Kim Soo Ah). However, at the same time, news breaks that Jo Eun Hyung has turned down the professorship, foreshadowing yet another storm within the family.

In the newly released stills, Jo Eun Ae’s signature bright smile has completely vanished, replaced by a cold, resentful gaze directed at her mother. Unaware that her daughter has already transferred the money, Kang Yeon Ja continues to push for further sacrifice—only deepening the sting behind Jo Eun Ae’s icy response.

Tensions also come to a head between Jo Sung Joon and Kang Yeon Ja. “The Scarecrow” has unveiled new stills from its upcoming episode!

“The Scarecrow” follows a detective investigating a series of murders who is forced into an unlikely partnership with a man he despises. Set between 1988 and 2019, the suspenseful story tracks two men bound by misfortune and an uneasy alliance of hatred as they chase the truth across 30 years.

Previously, Kang Tae Joo (Park Hae Soo) launched a full-scale investigation into the Gangseong serial murder case. From meeting survivor Park Ae Sook (Hwang Eun Ho) to a sting operation using a female police officer as bait, he carried out an around-the-clock effort.

However, Cha Si Young (Lee Hee Joon) diverted investigative manpower by sending detectives to handle riot control. Seo Ji Won (Kwak Sun Young), who was assigned to the sting operation, was knocked unconscious in a surprise attack by the real culprit. In addition, Kang Tae Joo became involved in an assault case with Jeon Kyung Ho (Kang Jung Woo), a fellow teacher of his younger sister Kang Soon Young (Seo Ji Hye) and a nephew of the county governor. As a result, Cha Si Young regained control of the investigation.

Amid the tense standoff between Kang Tae Joo and Cha Si Young, the investigation into the Gangseong serial murder case continues to intensify. In a previous teaser, Cha Si Young ordered, “Detective Kang Tae Joo will be removed from all investigations effective today.” Still, Kang Tae Joo shows no sign of backing down as he confronts him.

Kang Tae Joo is said to make an unprecedented proposal that Cha Si Young cannot refuse. The stills below show Kang Tae Joo’s determined facial expression and Cha Si Young’s unreadable face, hinting at what kind of deal they will make.

Another image shows Kang Tae Joo and Cha Si Young arriving together in the same car. As they arrive, reporters surround the vehicle, suggesting a tense situation.

Cha Si Young, who had been trying to have Kang Tae Joo removed from his position as the prosecutor handling the Jeon Kyung Ho assault case, is now seen accompanying him under unclear circumstances, raising further questions about their connection.

In the upcoming episode, testimony from Kim Mi Yeon (Kim Gye Rim), who was rescued during a sting operation, reveals that another murder victim has yet to be identified. As the serial killer continues his brutal crimes and the number of victims continues to rise, Kang Tae Joo, previously removed from all investigations, returns to catch the culprit.

“Salmokji: Whispering Water” is continuing its strong run at the box office!

According to the Korean Box Office Information System (KOBIS), “Salmokji: Whispering Water” surpassed 2 million moviegoers as of April 27.

This marks the second Korean movie of 2026 to reach the milestone following “The King’s Warden” as well as the best score for a Korean horror genre film post-pandemic as the first Korean horror film to surpass 2 million moviegoers in eight years following “Gonjiam: Haunted Asylum.”

To celebrate, the cast members of “Salmokji: Whispering Water” including Kim Hye Yoon, Lee Jong Won, Kim Jun Han, Kim Young Sung, Oh Dong Min, Yoon Jae Chan, and Jang Da A as well as director Lee Sang Min gathered together for a group photo, using rocks to symbolize 2 million.

Hearts2Hearts’ A-Na is leaving “Music Core.”

On April 27, it was announced that A-Na, one of the three MCs of “Music Core,” will step down from her position as an MC following the broadcast on May 2. This marks her departure after approximately one year and two months since joining the program in March 2025.

Immediately upon her debut, A-Na was selected as an MC for “Show! “Music Core” and received much love alongside co-hosts Kim Gyuvin of AND2BLE and Dohoon of TWS, with the trio affectionately nicknamed “KongHaeDdo.”

Ahead of her final broadcast, A-Na stated, “As I was entrusted with such a significant role as an MC right after my debut, I was lacking in many ways, but I sincerely thank my S2U (Hearts2Hearts’ official fan club name) for always supporting me, and the production team of ‘Music Core’ for trusting and guiding me. Although this is my final farewell as an MC, I will continue to show you new and diverse sides of myself as A-Nn of Hearts2Hearts, so please continue to watch over me. These past 14 months have been truly happy times.”

A successor for the MC position has not yet been decided. For the time being, “Music Core” will operate under a special MC system featuring various K-pop stars.

Directed by Yoon Jong Bin of “Narco-Saints” and “Nine Puzzles,” “The Generals” tells the story of Roh Tae Woo, the second-in-command who stands beside absolute ruler Chun Doo Hwan, wearing the mask of an “ordinary person” while striving for greater power, along with the people around him.

Director Yoon Jong Bin, known for portraying people struggling to survive in worlds shaped by rigid hierarchies and class systems, will once again explore the raw faces of his characters and their survival strategies against the backdrop of modern Korean history in “The Generals.”

Son Suk Ku plays longtime second-in-command Roh Tae Woo. He is set to portray the complex and subtle inner life of Roh Tae Woo, who was long remembered only as the friend of absolute ruler Chun Doo Hwan and a perpetual No. 2, as he finally rises to the top position he has long sought.

Ha Jung Woo plays Chun Doo Hwan, the absolute power at the center of the military regime. Anticipation is building for the pairing of Son Suk Ku and Ha Jung Woo, who will depict a close friendship formed as classmates at the Korea Military Academy, along with the complex and subtle relationship between a No. 1 and a No. 2.

“How can a person in love be calm?” is the question raised in the latest episodes of “Yumi’s Cells 3,” and our protagonist Yumi (Kim Go Eun) spends the entirety of episodes 3 and 4 being anything but calm!

The next episode preview in episode 2 had already made it clear that Yumi was going to fall in love with her editor Shin Soon Rok (Kim Jae Won), but the audience could not have anticipated how much secondhand embarrassment a person in love can give those who observe them. With that said, episodes 3 and 4 also had moments that made the audience twirl their hair, kick their feet, and squeal from vicariously living through Yumi’s newfound crush.

So, from Yumi falling for Shin Soon Rok’s hidden charm to her being a fool in love and conjuring up “signs” where there were none, here are three times “Yumi’s Cells 3” embarrassed us yet made us giggle.

Shin Soon Rok’s quiet yet chaotic inner world

This moment is more about Shin Soon Rok giving the viewers secondhand embarrassment, but it has to be mentioned for how relatably chaotic Shin Soon Rok’s calmness is. Just like the previous installments of “Yumi’s Cells,” “Yumi’s Cells 3” finally gives the audience a view into the inner world of Yumi’s new love interest, and his overworked Rational Cell is pitifully relatable.

During the premiere week’s episodes, Soon Rok’s calm demeanor wreaks havoc inside Yumi’s cell village. While she tries to strike up small talk at every opportunity, simply following the unwritten social rules, Shin Soon Rok has seemingly chucked his social-rule handbook in the trash and answers “아 네” (literal translation: Ah, yes) to every single question. His telegraphic answers infuriate Yumi’s Manner, Swear, and Pride Cells, to name a few.

However, the recent episode shows Soon Rok’s perspective. He is the embodiment of introversion, not to be confused with shyness. A shy person is unable to hold a conversation due to general anxiety, but an introvert simply prefers his alone time, as being around people drains their energy reserves. Shin Soon Rok keeps all of his cells, except the Rational Cell, asleep during the day, which makes his behavior rational, no pun intended. He is truly himself when he is at home, all alone, after work. That’s when, to him, the food tastes the best and the music actually sounds euphonious.

Due to his lack of cell activity during the day, in the previous episode he unknowingly called Yumi’s friend’s maltese stupid because his sole working cell, the Rational Cell, could not, for the love of God, understand why a person who neither has a maltese nor owns one would find a true statement like “maltese are stupid” offensive. It is a bit embarrassing but Soon Rok being overworked makes his behavior understandable.

Yumi’s cells get electrocuted

This is not a drill. Yumi’s cells literally get electrocuted because of seeing Shin Soon Rok’s smiles, both at her and in front of her, for the first time.

In the previous episodes, Yumi hated Soon Rok’s guts for his manner, or the lack thereof. So, when the editor at her publishing company calls her to let her know that Shin Soon Rok will not be working on Yumi’s project anymore, she is ecstatic. But her happiness is short-lived when she, however, realizes that Soon Rok asked to be taken off her project himself, cue: angry Pride Cell.

When episode 3 starts, Yumi is sitting in front of an already mentally drained Soon Rok, who had to sacrifice his weekend for a surprise work trip, and wants answers. His brain battery goes from 10 percent to 0, and he has no idea what to say. So, he smiles, looking directly in Yumi’s eyes, and says nothing.

If he thought this trick would work, he was…correct. Yumi’s cells get electrocuted, and she now has a crush on him.

This entire scene is both funny and heart-fluttering, partially because Kim Jae Won’s smile is genuinely cute and partially because this moment is relatable. Who hasn’t fallen for a handsome guy before for the sake of him being handsome? It’s a scene that is sure to make the audience squeal in joy. Not to mention, Kim Go Eun’s smitten look perfectly depicts the expression of someone who, at that very moment, developed a crush.

Her Love Cell escapes the freezing chamber, and her Thump and Boom Cells are thumping and booming her heart extra fast. Her reaction is sweet and sure to remind the audience of their first crush.

Shin Soon Rok’s hidden charm

Is it because Yumi now has a crush on Shin Soon Rok that she finds him charming, or has he just gotten more comfortable with her, or is it both?

In episode 4, Yumi joins a writers-and-editors workshop on a whim solely to spend more time with her new crush. Soon Rok and Yumi enter the elevator, and he presses the button for the floor Yumi is staying on. Yumi asks him if his room is also on the same floor, to which he says yes, before adding, “I’m rooming with the Editor.” Yumi, to continue the conversation, adds, “Really? That can’t be fun,” and lo and behold, the guy who was adamant about putting his earphones in to avoid small talk replies with, “Such is life at the bottom.”

Maybe it is the way the actor delivers the line, maybe it is the fact that Soon Rok now feels less pressure as Yumi is no longer his superior, or maybe it is that the audience has been starved so much that a simple joke has turned into an oasis. Whatever the reason, seeing Shin Soon Rok crack a joke is thrilling, to say the least. And his charm works perfectly on Yumi.

It was definitely not a sign

People in love, more often than not, develop a magic system where they can take every minute glance their crush throws their way and turn it into a love confession. Unfortunately for Yumi, and fortunately for the viewers for the added entertainment element, our main lead is a writer with a wild imagination, and her crush on Shin Soon Rok is simply working as a catalyst, leading to reactions like a car crash that the audience can’t look away from.

The first incident happens when Yumi and Soon Rok arrive in Busan. She asks him if he is joining the other writers and editors for a drink, hoping she can spend more time with him. But when he says he is tired, she claims the same, and both head to their separate rooms.

A while later, she is on her balcony and sees Soon Rok walking on the hotel’s lawn and messages him happy birthday. Soon Rok replies with a simple thank you, but the message has a smiley face. A normal person would not think twice, but as Yumi is in love, her cells convince her that through this emoji, Shin Soon Rok is secretly trying to convey his interest in her. And the sun in her cell village turns into the same emoji: 🙂

But the actual secondhand embarrassing moment happens when Soon Rok accompanies Yumi to the hotel after she leaves the group dinner alone. When Yumi asks about his plans for the night, he tells her about the movie he is watching in 30 minutes. Yumi’s cells, once again, convince her that Soon Rok is giving her a sign, and she asks him if she could join him for the movie. Seeing his hesitant rejection and Yumi’s embarrassed reaction is painful.

While her taking a leap of faith and asking Soon Rok out is a bit embarrassing, it also shows the audience that it is fine to ask someone out. The worst they can say is no, and that will always be better than keeping your feelings all to yourself and regretting in the future.

Based on the popular webtoon of the same name, “Yumi’s Cells” tells the story of an ordinary office worker named Yumi (Kim Go Eun)—from the point of view of the many brain cells in her head controlling her every thought, feeling, and action. In Season 3, Kim Jae Won plays Yumi’s new love interest Soon Rok, an editorial PD at Julie Publishing.

Previously, Yumi’s one-sided crush was portrayed as she felt upset by Soon Rok, who gave her no opening, unlike Ju Ho (Choi Daniel) who approached her proactively. However, when Dae Yong (Jeon Suk Ho) remarked that Yumi and Ju Ho looked good together, Soon Rok drew a line by saying, “I don’t think they look that good together,” drawing attention to his true feelings. Furthermore, Soon Rok, a known “homebody,” surprised Yumi by suggesting that they watch a movie together.

Amidst this, the newly released stills feature Yumi looking shocked as she stands between a suddenly fighting Soon Rok and Ju Ho, stimulating curiosity.

Yumi is clearly flustered as she witnesses Soon Rok and Ju Ho fighting to the point where their clothes are disheveled. The air is thick with tension as Ju Ho expresses his anger toward Soon Rok, and Soon Rok stares back at him.

With the addition of Dae Yong’s urgent facial expression as he tries to restrain the furious Ju Ho, viewers are left wondering what exactly happened between the three of them.

The production team teased, “In episodes 5 and 6, the principles of Soon Rok, a strict man of principle, will begin to waver as he meets Yumi. The changes in Yumi, who is honest about love, and Soon Rok, who begins to realize his own feelings, will provide a heart-fluttering experience.”

SBS’s upcoming drama “My Royal Nemesis” has unveiled new stills ahead of its premiere!

“My Royal Nemesis” is a romantic comedy starring Lim Ji Yeon as Shin Seo Ri, a struggling actress who is suddenly possessed by the spirit of a notorious villainess from the Joseon era. Heo Nam Jun plays Cha Se Gye, a ruthless chaebol heir who is known as a “monster created by capitalism.”

The newly released stills capture a refreshing “villain takedown” scene by Shin Seo Ri. She wields a laundry bat at an assailant without a moment’s hesitation, demonstrating the personality of the “uncompromising” Joseon villain character.

Previously, director Han Tae Seop commented on Lim Ji Yeon’s character, stating, “Please pay attention to the various moments—both big and small—where Shin Seo Ri, an 18th-century Confucian woman, delivers sharp remarks to modern people, as well as the vocabulary she uses. She will create moments that provide both exhilaration and emotional resonance.”

“My Royal Nemesis” is set to premiere on May 8 at 9:50 p.m. KST as a follow-up to “Phantom Lawyer.”

On April 26, the new romantic comedy starring Shin Hae Sun and Gong Myoung enjoyed a significant increase in viewership for its second episode, which was the most-watched show to air on any cable channel on Sunday. According to Nielsen Korea, “Filing for Love” climbed to an average nationwide rating of 6.3 percent, marking a jump of nearly 2 full percentage points from its premiere the night before.

Notably, in just two episodes, “Filing for Love” has already managed to achieve a higher rating than any episode of its predecessor “Mad Concrete Dreams” (the drama that previously occupied its time slot, which peaked on an average nationwide rating of 4.5 percent).

The rankings were determined through an analysis of various rising actors’ media coverage, consumer participation, interaction, and community awareness indexes, using big data collected from March 27 to April 27.

Kim Hye Yoon topped this month’s list after seeing a whopping 266.83 percent increase in her brand reputation index since March. The actress’s total score for April came out to 4,522,177.

Meanwhile, Park Ji Hoon took second place for the month with a brand reputation index of 4,183,311.

Byeon Woo Seok jumped to third place after seeing a 165.37 percent rise in his brand reputation index, bringing his total score to 3,711,330 for April.

BTS continues to break records with “ARIRANG”!

With this entry, TXT has become the first K-pop artist in history to score nine No. 1 albums on Billboard’s Top Album Sales chart.

On April 25, the popular variety show aired a sneak peek of its upcoming episode, which will feature ZEROBASEONE’s Sung Han Bin, HIGHLIGHT’s Lee Gikwang, SISTAR’s Soyou, and B1A4’s Sandeul as guests.

The newly released preview begins with the four idols showing off their singing and dancing skills, with the show dividing the guests into main vocalists and main dancers. Kang Ho Dong asks which position is more important, and Lee Soo Geun remarks, “If you’re good at both, there’s no need for a showdown.” Sandeul jokingly responds, “It’s hard to be good at both.”
