Following reports from news outlets, tvN confirmed, “The four actors (Gong Yoo, Kim Go Eun, Lee Dong Wook, and Yoo In Na) filmed a travel variety show for one night and two days in Gangneung of Gangwon Province from April 24 to 25.”

SM Entertainment has released an official statement following the court’s final ruling against the malicious YouTuber Sojang.

Previously on April 22, the 14th Civil Division of the Seoul District Court ruled that the operator of Sojang infringed upon the personality rights of the members of EXO, Red Velvet, and aespa by producing and posting videos containing personal attacks. Consequently, the court ordered the channel operator to pay a total of 130 million won (approximately $88,000) in damages.

Furthermore, regarding SM Entertainment, the court ruled that the defendant’s actions effectively caused substantial disruption to the plaintiff company’s business operations and performance. Accordingly, the court ordered an additional 40 million won (approximately $27,000) in damages to SM, bringing the total compensation to 170 million won.

We would like to provide an update on the results of our legal action against the YouTube channel Sojang, which produced and distributed videos containing false information for the purpose of defaming our artists.

In April 2024, we filed a criminal complaint against the operator of the channel for defamation and insults under the Act on Promotion of Information and Communications Network Utilization and Information Protection, etc. regarding EXO, Red Velvet, and aespa. Subsequently, in October of the same year, we filed a civil lawsuit against the same individual.

On January 15, 2025, the Incheon District Court ruled that the channel operator had severely infringed upon the honor and personality rights of our artists by disseminating false information and producing and posting videos containing personal attacks and derogatory expressions, thereby publicly insulting them. The court deemed these actions as crimes that significantly deviated from the scope of simple opinion expression. The operator was sentenced to two years in prison suspended for three years of probation, 120 hours of community service, and a forfeiture of approximately 211.42 million won (approximately $143,200). The operator repeatedly appealed the decision, but the original verdict was ultimately upheld.

Furthermore, on April 22, 2026, the 14th Civil Division of the Seoul Central District Court ruled that the operator of Sojang infringed upon the personality rights of our artists by producing and posting videos containing personal attacks and ordered the operator to pay a total of 130 million won in damages to the artists. Additionally, the court ruled, “The videos produced and posted by the channel operator led to a decline in the image and brand value of SM artists, which are core assets of SM, thereby causing substantial disruption to SM’s business operations and performance.” Consequently, the court ordered the operator to pay an additional 40 million won in damages to our company. This brings the total ordered compensation to 170 million won.

We will continue to take strong legal action, adhering to a policy of zero tolerance, against any YouTube channels that engage in personal attacks, use insulting or derogatory language, or habitually disseminate false information in order to protect our artists. We urge you to immediately cease all current illegal activities directed toward our artists.

On April 29, C9 Entertainment officially announced that CIX would be halting group activities ahead of the upcoming expiration of their exclusive contracts.

The agency also revealed that Yonghee would be enlisting in the army as an active-duty soldier on May 11.

All four members of CIX will be parting ways with C9 Entertainment: BX’s and Seunghun’s contracts will end on April 30, while Yonghee’s contract will end on the date of his military enlistment.

Hyunsuk, who is currently filming a drama, will officially part ways with the agency on May 31.

Hello. This is C9 Entertainment.

We are making an announcement regarding CIX’s future activities.

CIX, who has spent the past seven years with their fans engaging in various activities after debuting on July 21, 2019, will now be halting their group activities.

Although we repeatedly engaged in serious and in-depth discussions with the members over several months about continuing group activities, everyone ultimately came to the agreement that at this point in time, halting group activities is unavoidable.

As we have poured our hearts into the CIX brand and given our all in the production of the group’s music, choreography, videos, performances, and broadcasts, both the members and the company feel a profound sense of sorrow about this decision.

Accordingly, as of April 30, our exclusive contracts with members BX and Seunghun will end.

On April 28, the actress took to Instagram to share the news of her pregnancy in a heartfelt letter.

Her full letter is as follows:

Hello, this is actress Han Da Gam.

In all my years as an actress, I think this is the first time I’ve written a post with feelings like this.

I debuted in my 20s and lived a busy life, always running forward. Then, at the age of 41, I got married, and now, in the sixth year of my marriage, heaven has blessed me with a child.

I still can’t believe it myself, but it’s true.

I think I may be the oldest expectant mother in the entertainment industry!!!

I’m so, so grateful, and I wanted to share this incredible and awe-inspiring moment with all of you, which is why I’m writing this.

Judging by past cases, I think I might currently be the oldest expectant mother among actresses in the entertainment industry. Hahaha.

I am so incredibly thankful for this great blessing and gift given to me at this late stage in my life.

After finishing my play last year, I wanted to achieve the best possible result, so I prepared thoroughly in advance by visiting the hospital regularly. Thankfully, as a result of that effort, I succeeded with just one round of IVF treatment.

I think the fact that I’ve consistently exercised and managed my diet as best as I could over many years has really helped a lot.

Right now, I’ve passed the stage where I need to be especially cautious, so I’m exercising as usual and carrying out my broadcast schedules as normal.

You must be very surprised, right? I still can’t quite believe it myself—so I can only imagine how surprised you must be.

I feel like I’m now stepping into a true second chapter of my life. It’s a feeling I’ve never experienced before.

Since I’m an older expectant mother, I will exercise even more diligently, take even better care of myself, and be extra cautious as I move forward into this second phase of my life.

I think I’ll be able to meet my beautiful baby in the fall.

ATEEZ will be taking the stage at this year’s Rock in Roma!

On April 28, the annual Italian music festival announced that ATEEZ had joined its star-studded lineup of performing artists for 2026.

In what marks their first appearance at the festival, ATEEZ will be performing at Rock in Roma 2026 on August 7 at Rome’s Ippodromo delle Capannelle.

Unlike traditional music festivals that are held over a single weekend or two, Rock in Roma is structured as a series of individual concerts spanning several months from June to August.

Other artists in this year’s lineup include The Offspring, Counting Crows, Marilyn Manson, Olly, Mumford & Sons, OneRepublic, Europe, Ben Harper & The Innocent Criminals, and more.

PLAVE has made their debut on the Billboard 200 and Artist 100!

On April 28 local time, Billboard officially announced that PLAVE had entered its Top 200 Albums chart (which ranks the most popular albums in the United States) for the very first time.

For the week ending on May 2, the virtual boy group’s latest mini album “Caligo Pt.2” debuted at No. 145 on the Billboard 200.

PLAVE also entered Billboard’s Artist 100 at No. 75, marking their first-ever appearance on the chart.

Meanwhile, “Caligo Pt.4” debuted at No. 2 on Billboard’s World Albums chart and No. 7 on the Top Album Sales chart, meaning it was the seventh best-selling album of the week in the United States.
