The upcoming film “HOPE” has unveiled new stills featuring its cast!

“HOPE” follows the story of Beom Seok (Hwang Jung Min), the head of the Hopo Port branch office located in the Demilitarized Zone (DMZ). After hearing news of a tiger sighting from local youths, the entire village is thrown into a state of emergency as they encounter an unbelievable reality. The film is helmed by director Na Hong Jin, who received rave reviews for masterpieces including “The Chaser,” “The Yellow Sea,” and “The Wailing.”

Hwang Jung Min plays police officer Beom Seok, head of the Hopo Port branch office. Zo In Sung plays Sung Ki, a young hunter tracking the creature that attacked the village. Jung Ho Yeon plays Sung Ae, a principled police officer.

The stills show tense moments. Outside a foggy window in a dark space, Beom Seok is caught in the gaze of an unknown presence. Deep in the forest, Sung Ki aims a gun. In a ruined village, Sung Ae holds a firearm.

The stills give a clear look at each character facing an unbelievable reality against the backdrop of Hopo Port. They highlight the people of Hopo Port as they fight to protect their village. “Wild Sing” is a comedy movie that follows the story of TRIANGLE, a once-popular co-ed trio that fell into obscurity after an unfortunate incident. The film depicts their chaotic journey as they attempt to reunite and make a comeback.

Um Tae Goo plays Sang Gu, TRIANGLE’s overly passionate rapper, whose enthusiasm far exceeds his talent.

Sang Gu once dreamed of becoming a true hip hop warrior, but in reality, he only ever had just a few lines in songs. After the group disbanded, even his ambitious solo album failed, leaving him buried in debt and barely getting by as an insurance salesman.

Um Tae Goo perfectly captures both the overly passionate side of Sang Gu and the sorrow of a “failed rapper” struggling to survive.

Um Tae Goo commented, “The character of Sang Gu was new to me in every way, and participating in this project was a challenge in itself.”

To prepare for the role, the actor entered “trainee mode” for five months, frequenting the JYP Entertainment headquarters. He received comprehensive hip hop training—including rap-making lessons, styling, and stage presence—from producer Kass, who has collaborated with groups like GOT7, Stray Kids, and NMIXX.

From his signature rapping style, which makes full use of his distinctive husky voice, to a wide range of expressions, poses, and choreography, Um Tae Goo perfectly embodied the uniquely comedic character of Sang Gu. Kang Dong Won is expected to portray the character’s transformation in a multidimensional way, moving between his once-glorious past and his grueling present.

The newly released stills capture Hyun Woo sporting a variety of hairstyles, from dyed hair to curly hair.

According to the production team, Kang Dong Won underwent five months of intensive choreography training to synchronize with the character.

After a failed critical operation years earlier, he went to Yeongseon Island to deal with the aftermath and has since lived a normal life, cooking and making deliveries. “Spooky in Love” is an investigative occult romance drama about a hotel heiress who can see ghosts and a passionate, empathetic prosecutor who team up in a chaotic partnership. It is a remake of the 2011 film “Spellbound.”

The session began with Park Eun Bin’s lighthearted comment: “I’ll do my best to help viewers spend a chilling summer amid the intense heat.” The actors then fully immersed themselves in their respective characters.

First, Park Eun Bin plays Cheon Yeo Ri, the heiress to the country’s top luxury hotel group. Although she appears glamorous and is extremely wealthy, she lives cut off from the world because she can see ghosts. Park Eun Bin conveyed the character’s emotions through sorrowful eyes and voice.

In the main poster, Eun Chae Ni (Park Eun Bin), Lee Un Jeong (Cha Eun Woo), Son Gyeong Hun (Choi Dae Hoon), and Kang Ro Bin (Im Seong Jae) are running as they leave behind the chaos of Haeseong City. Under the tagline, “Lovable misfits will save the world,” the city is shown in complete disorder, with cars flying through the air and buildings and signs collapsing.

Set in an alternate universe where modern-day Korea is a constitutional monarchy, “Perfect Crown” tells the love story of Seong Hui Ju (IU), a chaebol heiress who has everything but is only a commoner in status, and Grand Prince Ian (Byeon Woo Seok), a prince who has nothing despite being the son of the king.

Previously on “Perfect Crown,” Seong Hui Ju and Grand Prince Ian became officially engaged after a proposal at a royal court banquet and the king’s approval. Grand Prince Ian accepted Seong Hui Ju’s contract marriage proposal, which she made to secure social standing, and the two became a team working toward the same goal.

Both share similar childhood loneliness and emotional wounds. They comfort each other and gradually grow closer. In the epilogue, it is also revealed that Grand Prince Ian had been interested in Seong Hui Ju since their school days, adding intrigue to their deeper connection.

However, opposition to their marriage is also beginning to emerge. Prime Minister Min Jeong Woo (Noh Sang Hyun) reacts with mixed feelings to news of their marriage. “Doctor on the Edge” is a medical human romance that follows public health doctor Do Ji Eui (Lee Jae Wook), who is sent to the notorious island Pyeondong, avoided by all, and secretive nurse Yook Ha Ri (Shin Ye Eun).

The newly released teaser posters depict Do Ji Eui and Yook Ha Ri on the island of Pyeongdong—an island surrounded by blue skies and endless sea. Wearing a doctor’s gown over military uniform, Do Ji Eui is a public health doctor who ends up on an island much to his dismay. On the other hand, Yook Ha Ri enjoys the fresh sea breeze with a dazzling smile on her face, raising curiosity for the two who have arrived on the island for different reasons.

The first teaser released along with the posters depicts the survival story of Do Ji Eui in Pyeongdong. He introduces himself, “I’m a public health doctor,” explaining, “Public health doctors work in vulnerable areas for medical care instead of partaking in military service.”

Despite saying, “I’m okay as long as it’s not an island. I can’t be that unlucky,” Do Ji Eui eventually finds himself in despair while on a boat, lamenting, “I was unlucky,” and kick-starting his chaotic island journey.

Disney+’s upcoming drama “The Miracles of the Namiya General Store” (working title) has revealed its star-studded cast and broadcast schedule!

On April 30, Disney+ announced the production of the drama adaptation of the bestselling novel “The Miracles of the Namiya General Store” along with its star-studded cast lineup.

“The Miracles of the Namiya General Store,” which is one of author Higashino Keigo’s best-known novels, tells the story of three thieves who hide out in the Namiya General Store, a place where the past and present connect. While writing replies to letters asking for advice, they come face-to-face with the secret behind a miracle-like connection intertwined with their own lives.

First, the role of Go Min Joong, the owner who anchors the Namiya General Store, will be played by trusted actor Ryu Seung Ryong. The lineup that will enrich the episodes is also robust: Kim Hye Yoon, Moon Sang Min, Lee Chae Min, and Yoon Kyung Ho are set to add vitality to the drama.

The trio of petty thieves who hide in the general store will be played by Kang You Seok, Park Jung Woo, and Kim Sung Jung.

TXT achieved a double crown on this week’s Circle charts, topping both the physical album chart and the digital download chart with their new mini album “7TH YEAR: A Moment of Stillness in the Thorns” and its title track “Stick With You.”

“7TH YEAR: A Moment of Stillness in the Thorns” claimed two of the top five spots on this week’s chart. The regular version of the mini album debuted at No. 1, while the Weverse version charted separately at No. 5.

PLAVE also took two of this week’s top five spots with their new mini album “Caligo Pt.2”: the regular version debuted at No. 2, and the POCA version charted separately at No. 3.

YG Entertainment has revealed some of its plans for the months ahead—along with the third member of its upcoming girl group!

On April 30 at midnight KST, YG Entertainment released an announcement video in which founder Yang Hyun Suk spoke about what the agency has coming up.

With BABYMONSTER gearing up to make a comeback on May 4, Yang Hyun Suk went through each track on their upcoming mini album “CHOOM” and shared what fans can expect from each song.

Yang Hyun Suk also revealed that “CHOOM” was originally supposed to have two title tracks, but YG Entertainment had decided not to include the second title track on the mini album. Instead, the song will be released separately as a single in early June, along with an accompanying music video.

BABYMONSTER will also be releasing music videos for two of their B-sides from “CHOOM.” The music video for “I LIKE IT” will drop in July, while the music video for “MOON” will drop in early August.

Next, Yang Hyun Suk announced that TREASURE will make their comeback with a new mini album on June 1.

On April 29, MNH Entertainment announced that during the latter half of 8TURN’s promotions for “BRUISE,” Kyungmin had begun “experiencing symptoms related to his stomach and has been balancing his schedule with treatment.”

The agency went on to state that the idol had since been diagnosed with “complex health issues resulting from a gastric ulcer” and had been advised that he requires “long-term rest and recovery.”

As a result, while Kyungmin will participate in “currently confirmed [scheduled activities] to a manageable extent, all new [scheduled activities] beginning in May will proceed with seven members, excluding Kyungmin.”

We would like to provide an update regarding 8TURN member Kyungmin’s future activities.

MBC Plus’s upcoming drama “My Idol, My Debut” has announced its cast lineup including THE BOYZ’s Q, Lee Jin Hyuk, Lee Jin Kyu, Lee Ho Hyun, Hwang Ji Ah, WOOAH’s Nana, tripleS’s Kaede, and AISA!

“My Idol, My Debut” is a time-slip coming-of-age story about a passionate fan who travels eight years into the past to prevent a tragic accident. She becomes an idol trainee in an effort to change fate.

In the drama, the boy group Boy to the Moon and the girl group IRION begin as fictional groups within the story. They later debut as real idols through official music releases and stage performances. It blends drama with K-pop promotions, marking a first-of-its-kind approach in South Korea.

Q plays Han Jae Ha, a central character and key member of Boy to the Moon with exceptional talent and a distinct star aura. Through the role, Q expands his acting range through both idol performance scenes and the character’s growth.

Lee Jin Hyuk joins as Ethan, a Canada-born member who serves as a key pillar of the group alongside Han Jae Ha.
