Kim Do Hoon may be taking on the lead role in a new Netflix film!

On May 15, News1 reported that Kim Do Hoon has been cast as the lead of Netflix’s upcoming movie “Dochabi” (literal title).

In response to the report, his agency Peak J Entertainment stated, “Kim Do Hoon is positively reviewing the offer to star in the Netflix film ‘Dochabi.’”

“Dochabi,” whose title refers to goblins, is reportedly a historical action film.

The movie will be directed by Ahn Tae Jin, known for helming “The Night Owl” and Season 2 of “Signal.”

Kim Do Hoon is currently filming the upcoming tvN drama “Retired Agent + Management Team” (literal translation), which is scheduled to premiere in the second half of the year.

On May 15, a media outlet reported that Yoon Hyun Min will star in JTBC’s upcoming drama “Rediscovery of Love” (literal title).

In response to the report, his agency ANIC ENT stated that Yoon Hyun Min received an offer to star in the new drama “Rediscovery of Love” and is positively reviewing his offer.

“Rediscovery of Love” will tell the story of a divorced couple who end up living in a share house and working at the same hotel, leading them to rediscover one another.

Previously in April, Kim So Yeon and Kim Ji Suk were reported to star in the drama as the leads. Kim So Yeon’s agency stated that she is currently in talks, while Kim Ji Suk’s agency has not responded. Although specific details about the character offered to Yoon Hyun Min have not been disclosed, it is reported that he would be a lead actor, driving the plot alongside Kim So Yeon and Kim Ji Suk.

Before reaching heaven, every soul has the chance to rest in one special place with only the best of the best. “Hotel Del Luna” offers the most luxurious experience for ghosts, at least for the ones who can pay for it. That is the rule of its owner, Jang Man Wol (IU), a heartless and frivolous thousand-year spirit who is condemned to atone for her sins until she finds a new owner for the hotel, without any chance of actually doing so. After centuries of running the place smoothly, Man Wol finds her first glimpse of hope when Goo Chan Sung (Yeo Jin Goo) joins her as the new manager to pay for an old debt from his father. Inadvertently, what seems like the beginning of a nightmare ends up as one of the most epic love stories.

Though gruesome to the point of actually making things scary, this K-drama combines the excellent performance from every main and secondary cast member with an intriguing story and electric chemistry to deliver a total banger of a show that became one of the most impactful K-dramas of 2019. The plot follows diverse underlying storylines, but the main focus remains on the unfulfilled connection between Jang Man Wol, her first love Go Chung Myung (Lee Do Hyun), and the mysterious fateful connection with Chan Sung. In the released photos, Seong Hui Ju is seen running inside the Pyeonjeon herself to save Prince Ian, who is trapped in the flames. As she searches through the palace regardless of the fiercely rising fire, her face is filled with earnest desperation to save Prince Ian.

Prince Ian is also captured, having collapsed amidst the thick smoke. Tension is rising over whether another tragedy is about to strike the royal family, which has already endured the death of Prince Ian’s mother in a traffic accident and the sudden passing of his older brother, the former king.

While Seong Hui Ju and Prince Ian fight for their lives, Choi Hyun (Yoo Su Bin) and Do Hye Jeong (Lee Yeon) also join forces to rescue them. With everyone waiting for the safe return of the royal couple, all eyes are on whether Seong Hui Ju will be able to escape the flames with Prince Ian.

However, in newly released stills from the drama’s next episode, the tables have turned. It is now Cha Se Gye who is in need of Shin Seo Ri, and he is determined to convince her to sign a contract with his company. Hoping to get on her good side, Cha Se Gye takes Shin Seo Ri out to a barbecue restaurant and treats her to expensive Hanwoo beef.

But while the adorably delighted Shin Seo Ri is unable to tear her eyes away from the beef on the grill, Cha Se Gye is notably unable to take his eyes off Shin Seo Ri. Despite his efforts to feign otherwise, all of Cha Se Gye’s attention is clearly focused on her.

Newly released stills from the upcoming film capture the contrast between Sung Gon’s glamorous past as a popular singer and his unexpected present as a rugged hunter. 20 years ago, Sung Gon was a heartthrob who made women swoon with his gentle voice and soulful gaze. As befits a “ballad prince,” his stylishly long hair gives him an air of mystery by slightly obscuring one eye with his bangs.

However, Sung Gon has since gone from a heartthrob taking aim at women’s hearts to a hunter taking aim at harmful wild animals.

Jung Kyung Ho, Jeon Yeo Been, Choi Dae Hoon, and Kang Mal Geum will be teaming up for the new drama “Unshakable Forties’ Romance” (literal translation).

“Unshakable Forties’ Romance” is a bewitching story about a man and a woman in their forties—an age said to be unmoved by temptation—who find themselves irresistibly drawn to each other. A star anchor suffering from early andropause and a third rate writer who used to be his sworn enemy try to revive a ratings-bottomed program—only to end up reviving each other’s long-withered “romance cells.”

Jung Kyung Ho was previously confirmed to play Na Yi Jun, YCB newsroom’s star anchor. He grew up without major hardships in an ordinary middle-class family, scored a perfect score on the college entrance exam, and became the youngest anchor ever—an exceptional figure. However, he is told to step down from the main news and eventually becomes in charge of a low-ratings program and meets Seo Hae Yoon, who appears to be without an ounce of elegance.

Jeon Yeo Been is set to star as writer Seo Hae Yoon, who chases after sensational news and viewership. Having worked across various news stations over 10 years, Seo Hae Yoon has faced all sorts of hardship. If it’s for the sake of increasing viewership, Seo Hae Yoon doesn’t care if the news is gossip. With her life in chaos due to her program being about to be shut down, she only faces even more chaos with the arrival of Na Yi Jun. Meeting at an age in which their hormones make their emotions even more confusing, the two will portray a mature romance as their love cells belated come to life.

Furthermore, Choi Dae Hoon and Kang Mal Geum will portray a realistic couple who meet after divorcing their previous partners.

Choi Dae Hoon will play YCB newsroom reporter Ji Han Soo. Although he wanted to become a news anchor like his close friend Na Yi Joon, he was unable to do so due to a critical pronunciation issue. Harboring wounds after being abandoned in his first marriage despite being loyal in love, he still dreams of romance.

Kang Mal Geum will transform into broadcast writer Heo Mi Eun who is like an older sister to Seo Hae Yoon. She prefers men who are loyal to her over a handsome face.

The production team shared, “After the first script reading, we will soon start filming. Along with Jung Kyung Ho and Jeon Yeo Been who promise to deliver buzz and acting talent, Choi Dae Hoon and Kang Mal Geum’s synergy will depict the strong taste of adult romance that is beyond perfection,” sharing that the drama will air in the first half of 2027.
