Yoon Jong Hoon Is A Wealthy Architect Drawn Into A Family Power Struggle In “Our Happy Days”
KBS1’s new weekday drama “Our Happy Days” has shared the first stills of Yoon Jong Hoon in character! “Our Happy Days” is a warm family series filled with stories from multiple generations, centering on a tense clash between the world’s most perfect man and an endearingly clumsy woman—each striving to become the main character of their own life. Yoon Jong Hoon plays Go Gyeol, a man who seems to have it all—looks, talent, and wealth. He is the grandson of Kang Soo Group chairman Go Kang Soo (Lee Ho Jae) and the second son of Kang Soo Construction president Go Dae Chi (Yoon Da Hoon), as well as a highly accomplished architect who has won the “Young Architect of the Year” award. Living a life seemingly free of hardship, Go Gyeol’s world begins to shift after he becomes entangled with Jo Eun Ae (Uhm Hyun Kyung) and is drawn into a fierce succession battle following Chairman Go Kang Soo’s terminal diagnosis, forcing him to confront unexpected upheavals. Newly released first stills capture Go Gyeol dressed in polished, refined outfits befitting a third-generation chaebol heir. He exudes neat sophistication, while his calm, subdued gaze hints at the character’s complex inner struggles. In another still, Yoon Jong Hoon is seen smiling brightly while conversing with someone. Known for his cynical gaze and sharp remarks, the character’s softer side—revealed only around those he considers his own—adds emotional depth to Go Gyeol. The production team shared, “Yoon Jong Hoon’s delicate acting will deeply portray the sense of emptiness hidden behind Go Gyeol’s perfect exterior, further enhancing viewers’ immersion. We hope audiences look forward to the new charm he will reveal through this drama.” “Our Happy Days” is scheduled to premiere in March as the follow-up to “Marie and Her Three Daddies.”
“The Practical Guide To Love” Director And Writer Talk About The Drama’s Concept, Key Viewing Points, And More
The director and scriptwriter for the upcoming drama “The Practical Guide to Love” have shared their thoughts on the drama! “The Practical Guide to Love” tells the story of Lee Ui Yeong (Han Ji Min), a woman who dives into the world of blind dates after deciding to pursue love. When she meets two men with strikingly different charms, she finds herself torn between them—prompting a journey towards discovering what true love really means. First, director Lee Jae Hoon revealed that his initial impression of the project was shaped by the protagonist’s career. He remarked, “The female lead Lee Ui Yeong working on a hotel purchasing team felt unique.” He found it especially impressive that the drama shines a light on the stories of those who work quietly behind the scenes of glamorous spaces. He continued, “Instead of the luxurious lobby, we focused on the stories of those working in kitchens, storage rooms, and hallways. After extensive consultation and research, we built a realistic portrayal of their professional lives with strong detail.” Writer Lee Yi Jin shared, “The original work was so charming that I didn’t hesitate long after receiving the adaptation offer.” She continued, “I found it interesting that the story focuses seriously on blind dates. From the very first episode, it clearly distances itself from the typical romance drama by confronting the reality that natural encounters are difficult and by showing the careful weighing of potential partners’ conditions,” she explained. “It might feel a bit dry, but I thought it could tell a love story that people in their 30s—who have many responsibilities in life—could relate to.” Talking about the thought that went into portraying blind dates, which serve as the main theme of the drama in an engaging way, director Lee Jae Hoon shared, “As a main subject of a drama, blind dates might feel somewhat ordinary. But at the same time, because it is such an everyday topic, it can create moments that are strongly relatable.” He continued, “I tried to capture and portray those moments that seem trivial but carry significant emotional weight realistically.” Writer Lee Yi Jin remarked, “When I first saw the original work, I loved the contrast between the pure, heart-fluttering art style and the realistic story development.” She continued, “Because I wanted to stay true to the expectations created by the title of the drama and its blind date concept, I tried to vividly capture everything from the decision to go on a blind date to the happenings at the actual blind date and the worries that arise when the blind date begins to transition into a relationship.” Finally, director Lee Jae Hoon and writer Lee Yi Jin both shared key viewing points for the drama. Director Lee Jae Hoon commented, “Many talented actors appear as family members and colleagues, adding fun and depth to the story. The diverse cameo appearances by actors who will play Lee Ui Yeong’s blind date partners will also add fun to the drama.” He added, “I remember being deeply moved several times, thinking how truly blessed we were with this casting,” expressing his trust in the actors. Writer Lee Yi Jin concluded, “I think viewers will find it more enjoyable if they watch while asking themselves questions like, ‘What kind of love did I experience in the past?’ and ‘What choice would I make in that situation?’” She added, “I hope everyone who watches this drama won’t give up on love too easily and will continue to move toward it—each in their own way.”

Han Ji Min Dishes On Her Character In Upcoming Drama “The Practical Guide To Love”
Han Ji Min has shared her thoughts on her upcoming drama “The Practical Guide to Love”! “The Practical Guide to Love” tells the story of Lee Ui Yeong (Han Ji Min), a woman who dives into the world of blind dates after deciding to pursue love. When she meets Song Tae Seop (Park Sung Hoon) and Shin Ji Su (Lee Ki Taek), two men with strikingly different charms, she finds herself torn between them—prompting a journey to discover what true love really means. On why she chose to star in the drama, Han Ji Min shared, “I was drawn to the script because it portrays realistic stories and concerns about love that we often see around us, especially for people at a marriageable age.” She added, “Lee Ui Yeong’s greatest and most appealing trait is her honesty. Whether she is working, interacting with friends, meeting a blind date, or struggling with love, she never loses that honesty,” expressing her affection for the character. While Lee Ui Yeong thrives at work thanks to her competence and the trust of her colleagues, she has been stuck in a rut when it comes to dating. Han Ji Min explained, “Lee Ui Yeong feels like an ordinary person anyone could think of among their acquaintances. I personally thought of one or two friends like her as well.” She continued, “Focusing solely on work and then one day finding yourself thinking seriously about marriage feels like a natural life flow that many people go through. Lee Ui Yeong isn’t a flashy or extraordinary character—she feels more like a friend who could be right beside you, which makes her all the more appealing.” Han Ji Min also revealed that she resonated with Lee Ui Yeong’s relationship with her mother, Park Jung Im (Kim Jung Young). She shared that the character’s close, almost friend-like relationship with her mother resembles her own real-life relationship. She commented, “In real life, I often travel with my mother and we’re like friends. It made me think that I want to become even closer and more affectionate with her in the future.” Lastly, Han Ji Min shared what viewers should focus on in the drama, saying, “I hope viewers can comfortably follow Lee Ui Yeong’s emotions. The show realistically portrays the feelings we experience during cycles of meeting and breaking up, as well as the excitement, worries, and anxieties we face before a new love.” She concluded, “If you were Lee Ui Yeong, which choice would you make between Song Tae Seop and Shin Ji Su? I hope viewers will think about it from Lee Ui Yeong’s perspective.”
