Circle Chart (formerly known as Gaon Chart) has revealed its latest monthly and weekly chart rankings! Monthly Album Chart ENHYPEN achieved a double crown for the month of January with their new mini album “THE SIN : VANISH” and its title track “Knife,” topping both the physical album chart and the digital download chart. “THE SIN : VANISH” debuted at No. 1 on the monthly physical album chart, while “BOYS II PLANET” group ALPHA DRIVE ONE’s debut mini album “EUPHORIA” entered the chart at No. 2. EXO’s new album “REVERXE” debuted at No. 3, followed by SEVENTEEN’s DxS (DK x Seungkwan)’s unit debut mini album “Serenade” at No. 4 and idntt’s “yesweare” at No. 5. Weekly Album Chart ATEEZ earned a double crown on this week’s Circle charts with their new mini album “GOLDEN HOUR : Part.4” and its title track “Adrenaline,” which topped the physical album chart and the digital download chart respectively. “GOLDEN HOUR : Part.4” swept the top two spots on this week’s album chart, with the regular version of the mini album debuting at No. 1 and the POCA version charting separately at No. 2. ZEROBASEONE’s new special limited album “RE-FLOW” debuted at No. 3, while KiiiKiii’s EP “Delulu Pack” held onto its spot at No. 4. ENHYPEN, IVE, Zico, G-Dragon, And More Earn Circle Double Million And Platinum Certifications
Circle Chart (formerly known as Gaon Chart) has announced its latest batch of official certifications! In 2018, the Korea Music Content Industry Association implemented a new certification system for album sales, song downloads, and online streaming. Starting with music released on or after January 1, 2018, Circle Chart now certifies albums platinum once they reach 250,000 sales, while albums that have sold a million copies or more receive a “million” certification. ENHYPEN earned a double million certification this month for selling over 2 million copies of their 2023 mini album “ORANGE BLOOD.” In the streaming category, both IVE’s 2023 smash hit “I AM” and Block B’s Zico’s viral 2020 track “Any Song” were certified double platinum for surpassing 200 million streams each. Meanwhile, BIGBANG’s G-Dragon’s “HOME SWEET HOME” (featuring Taeyang and Daesung) and Mariah Carey’s “All I Want For Christmas Is You” were certified platinum after reaching 100 million streams each. TWICE is returning to “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon”! NMIXX and Pabllo Vittar are joining forces for another exciting collaboration! On February 17, NMIXX announced that “TIC TIC,” their new single featuring Pabllo Vittar, will be released on February 26 KST at 12 p.m. KST. NMIXX also unveiled a teaser image for the song, which they performed together with Pabllo Vittar yesterday at the São Paulo Carnival—where they became the first K-pop artist ever to perform at Brazil’s Carnival. NMIXX and Pabllo Vittar previously teamed up for the collab single “MEXE” in August of last year.
February Advertisement Model Brand Reputation Rankings Announced
The Korean Business Research Institute has revealed this month’s brand reputation rankings for advertisement models! The rankings were determined through an analysis of consumer behavior, using big data collected from January 11 to February 11. The Korean Business Research Institute evaluated the participation, communication, media, and social values of popular advertisement models in order to calculate each star’s total brand reputation index for the month. BTS topped this month’s list with a brand reputation index of 1,590,057, marking an 85.76 percent increase in their score since January. High-ranking phrases in the group’s keyword analysis included “ARIRANG,” “K-beauty,” and “K-food,” while their highest-ranking related terms included “collaborate,” “positive,” and “increase.” BTS’s positivity-negativity analysis also revealed a score of 92.57 percent positive reactions. IVE came in at a close second with a brand reputation index of 1,469,888, marking a 61.52 percent rise in their score since last month. Lim Young Woong held onto his spot at third place with a brand reputation index of 1,272,569, marking a 19.36 percent increase in his score since January. Soccer star Son Heung Min took fourth place for February with a brand reputation index of 1,041,101, marking a 49.58 percent rise in his score since last month. Finally, BLACKPINK rounded out the top five with a brand reputation index of 1,010,136, marking a whopping 111.16 percent increase in their score since January. The Korean Business Research Institute has revealed this month’s brand reputation rankings for drama actors! The rankings were determined through a data analysis of the media coverage, participation, interaction, and community indexes of 100 actors who appeared in dramas that aired between January 17 and February 17. Park Shin Hye, who is currently starring in “Undercover Miss Hong,” topped this month’s list with a brand reputation index of 4,117,879. High-ranking phrases in her keyword analysis included “Undercover Miss Hong,” “irreplaceable,” and “Hong Geum Bo,” while her highest-ranking related terms included “transformation,” “high ratings,” and “Park Shin Hye did it again.” Park Shin Hye’s positivity-negativity analysis also revealed a score of 91.38 percent positive reactions. Go Youn Jung, who recently starred in “Can This Love Be Translated?,” took second place for February with a brand reputation index of 3,833,958. Kim Hye Yoon, who is starring in “No Tail to Tell,” ranked third with a brand reputation index of 2,944,189. JTBC’s “Surely Tomorrow” star Won Ji An came in fourth place for the month with a brand reputation index of 2,801,041.
