ENHYPEN, IVE, Zico, G-Dragon, And More Earn Circle Double Million And Platinum Certifications
Circle Chart (formerly known as Gaon Chart) has announced its latest batch of official certifications! In 2018, the Korea Music Content Industry Association implemented a new certification system for album sales, song downloads, and online streaming. Starting with music released on or after January 1, 2018, Circle Chart now certifies albums platinum once they reach 250,000 sales, while albums that have sold a million copies or more receive a “million” certification. ENHYPEN earned a double million certification this month for selling over 2 million copies of their 2023 mini album “ORANGE BLOOD.” In the streaming category, both IVE’s 2023 smash hit “I AM” and Block B’s Zico’s viral 2020 track “Any Song” were certified double platinum for surpassing 200 million streams each. Meanwhile, BIGBANG’s G-Dragon’s “HOME SWEET HOME” (featuring Taeyang and Daesung) and Mariah Carey’s “All I Want For Christmas Is You” were certified platinum after reaching 100 million streams each. TWICE To Perform On "The Tonight Show" Next Week
TWICE is returning to “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon”! On February 17 local time, the famous U.S. talk show announced that TWICE would be making a guest appearance next week while in town for their ongoing “THIS IS FOR” world tour. "HUMINT” Surpasses 1 Million Moviegoers
Zo In Sung, Park Jeong Min, Park Hae Joon, and Shin Sae Kyeong’s new film “HUMINT” has surpassed 1 million moviegoers! On February 17, the Korean Film Council announced that “HUMINT” had surpassed 1 million moviegoers as of 1:17 p.m. KST that day—six days since the film was first released on February 11. “HUMINT” is a spy action film that focuses on the conflict between North and South Korean agents as they investigate criminal activities near the Vladivostok border. February Drama Actor Brand Reputation Rankings Announced
The Korean Business Research Institute has revealed this month’s brand reputation rankings for drama actors! The rankings were determined through a data analysis of the media coverage, participation, interaction, and community indexes of 100 actors who appeared in dramas that aired between January 17 and February 17. Park Shin Hye, who is currently starring in “Undercover Miss Hong,” topped this month’s list with a brand reputation index of 4,117,879. High-ranking phrases in her keyword analysis included “Undercover Miss Hong,” “irreplaceable,” and “Hong Geum Bo,” while her highest-ranking related terms included “transformation,” “high ratings,” and “Park Shin Hye did it again.” Park Shin Hye’s positivity-negativity analysis also revealed a score of 91.38 percent positive reactions. Go Youn Jung, who recently starred in “Can This Love Be Translated?,” took second place for February with a brand reputation index of 3,833,958. Kim Hye Yoon, who is starring in “No Tail to Tell,” ranked third with a brand reputation index of 2,944,189. JTBC’s “Surely Tomorrow” star Won Ji An came in fourth place for the month with a brand reputation index of 2,801,041. Finally, Lee Je Hoon—who starred in “Taxi Driver 3” and topped last month’s list—rounded out the top five with a brand reputation index of 2,682,309. Billboard has published its World Albums chart for the week ending on February 14! ENHYPEN’s latest mini album “THE SIN: VANISH” remained No. 1 on the World Albums chart for the third week in a row, and it also stayed strong at No. 48 in its third week on the Billboard 200. Meanwhile, ENHYPEN’s 2024 album “ROMANCE : UNTOLD” spent its 82nd week on the World Albums chart at No. 20. Stray Kids landed a whopping six entries on this week’s World Albums chart. Their latest album “DO IT” came in at No. 2 in its 11th week on the chart, while “KARMA” rose to No. 4 (in its 24th week), “合 (HOP)” to No. 9 (in its 60th week), “ATE” to No. 16 (in its 81st week), and “★★★★★ (5-STAR)” to No. 21 (in its 72nd week).
