"Omniscient Reader" Stars Switch From Intense Filming To Fun Moments On Set In New Behind-The-Scenes Photos

“Omniscient Reader” has shared new behind-the-scenes photos capturing the cast’s passionate performances and the friendly atmosphere on set! Based on the popular web novel of the same name, “Omniscient Reader” is a film that tells the story of Kim Dok Ja (Ahn Hyo Seop), who suddenly finds himself living in the world of a fantasy novel he was reading. Armed with the knowledge of what happened in the novel, Kim Dok Ja sets out to save the world from ending. Lee Min Ho stars as Yoo Joong Hyuk, the protagonist from the novel that Kim Dok Ja read. The new photos show a range of moments, offering behind-the-scene glimpses of the actors’ intense performances that brought the film to life, as well as the cheerful interactions among the cast. Despite his ongoing action sequences, a dedicated Ahn Hyo Seop prepares for his next scene without showing fatigue. He is also seen holding a bouquet of flowers and wearing a tiara with a smile. Lee Min Ho, who plays Yoo Joong Hyuk, a character who grows cynical after repeated regressions in the novel’s world, shows his deep commitment to his role through his expressions alone. Chae Soo Bin, who plays Yoo Sang Ah, is seen listening attentively to the crew’s explanations and focusing in order to not miss even the smallest detail. Shin Seung Ho, who plays Lee Hyun Sung, a dependable shield for Kim Dok Ja and his companions, is seen lifting child actor Kwon Eun Seong, whose affectionate look hints at their close bond. Unlike his character Lee Hyun Sung, who is known for his seriousness and strength, Shin Seung Ho fills the set with warmth through his friendliness and energy. When the cameras are rolling, Nana passionately throws herself into the film’s action scenes. But when the cameras stop, she playfully poses for photos with director Kim Byung Woo. Finally, the sight of Ahn Hyo Seop and Nana performing high-difficulty wire action moves inspires admiration for the actors’ commitment to their roles, while also revealing how the film was able to produce its spectacular action sequences. “Omniscient Reader” is currently showing in theaters throughout South Korea.

Lee Sung Min Is A Paper Industry Veteran Seeking Reemployment In New Film "No Other Choice"

The upcoming film “No Other Choice” has unveiled new stills of Lee Sung Min! “No Other Choice” tells the story of Man Soo (Lee Byung Hun), an office worker who once felt completely satisfied with life before being suddenly laid off. Determined to protect his wife, two children, and the home they worked so hard to buy, he embarks on a personal battle to find a new job. Lee Sung Min will take on the role of Beom Mo, a man deeply devoted to the paper industry, where he has spent the majority of his life. Refusing to give up on reemployment in his beloved field, Beom Mo emerges as a potential rival to Man Soo. A thoroughly “analog” man, Beom Mo writes his resume on a typewriter and listens only to LP records. In one of the new stills, Lee Sung Min wears a desperate expression, while in another, he holds a sheet of white paper in the air, seemingly deep in thought: an image that hints at his emotional attachment to his lifelong profession. Sharing his thoughts on the role, Lee Sung Min said, “I always prepared various possibilities in order to express Beom Mo as seen by director Park Chan Wook.” Park Chan Wook also praised the actor, commenting, “In situations that called for exaggerated expressions, Lee Sung Min pulled them off fearlessly.” “No Other Choice” is set to hit theaters in September.

Im Seong Jae Transforms Into A 1970s Factory Owner In Upcoming Film "The Ugly"

The upcoming film “The Ugly” has offered a sneak peek of Im Seong Jae’s character! Directed by Yeon Sang Ho, “The Ugly” follows the story of Im Dong Hwan (Park Jung Min), the son of Im Young Gyu (Kwon Hae Hyo)—a blind man who has become a skilled seal artisan—as he investigates the mysterious death of his mother, whose body was secretly buried for the past 40 years. Im Seong Jae plays Baek Joo Sang, the owner of a clothing factory in the Cheonggyecheon area. Dong Hwan encounters Joo Sang while searching for people who worked with his mother Jung Young Hee during the 1970s. Unlike other factory owners of the time, Joo Sang appears kind-hearted—he pays his workers on time, enjoys photographing his employees as a hobby, and is known for his friendly demeanor. However, beneath his seemingly warm exterior lies a dark secret, adding a layer of suspense and complexity to the film. The newly released stills capture both sides of Baek Joo Sang. In one image, he flashes a bright smile while holding a camera, ready to snap a photo. In another, he stands in an office, looking visibly upset with a stern, intense expression—hinting at the duality of his character. Im Seong Jae described his character by saying, “Baek Joo Sang isn’t someone who acts with a clear intention of doing good or evil.” He added, “That aspect really attracted me as an actor. While monitoring my takes during filming, I felt like I truly looked like someone from the 1970s, so I thought to myself that it had been  the right decision to gain some weight.” Co-star Park Jung Min also praised Im Seong Jae, commenting, “He’s kind of an actor who, with wise guidance, helps you naturally bring out what you want to express.” “The Ugly” is set to hit theaters in September. In the meantime, watch Im Seong Jae in “Law and The City” here:
