Park Jinyoung Talks About Why He Chose To Star In “Shining,” His Character, And More
Park Jinyoung has shared his thoughts on his upcoming drama “Shining”! “Shining” is a drama about young people who once shared a world of their own and gradually become each other’s source of trust and the light that guides their lives. Park Jinyoung plays Yeon Tae Seo, a subway train driver who hides a tender sensitivity beneath a cold, stoic exterior. The role follows him from age 19 to adulthood. Park Jinyoung’s performance promises to capture Yeon Tae Seo’s youth and love as he quietly lives his life while carrying his pain. Park Jinyoung, drawn to the realistic storytelling of the drama, said, “I wanted to take part because it’s not just a pretty youth story but one that deals with real-life struggles anyone can relate to.” He spoke specifically about the character Yeon Tae Seo, saying, “He felt like a character the script subtly presents with unconditional trust of ‘the kind of person you wish existed.’ I was drawn to such a warm character and I thought I wanted to try playing this role.” Park Jinyoung also recalled his strong first impression of the character, saying, “We all know it’s better not to worry about what others think as we go through life, but we also know it’s usually not easy to avoid their gaze. Yet Yeon Tae Seo lives life in his own way, rather than seeing others’ gaze. That was what I found most appealing about him.” With the story spanning from a 19-year-old boy to adulthood, Park Jinyoung said, “The more I read the script, the more I saw that Yeon Tae Seo keeps many of the same traits even as he grows older.” He continued, “So I didn’t act out differences for each age. The only difference, if any, is in how Tae Seo handles his struggles. I wanted to show that, as an adult, he has gained a bit more experience than he had as he was younger.” Finally, Park Jinyoung highlighted key points to watch, saying, “I think the most ordinary, everyday stories are the most beautiful. The stories of Yeon Tae Seo and Mo Eun Ah (Kim Min Ju) reflect emotions we all feel at least once in our lives. If you focus on that, you will feel an even deeper impact.” “Shining” is set to premiere on March 6 at 8:50 p.m. KST.
Jeon So Young’s Actions Prove She Is Neither On Lee Na Young Nor Seo Hyun Woo’s Side In “Honour”
ENA’s new drama “Honour” has released new stills ahead of its upcoming episode! Based on a Swedish series, “Honour” is a mystery thriller that tells the story of three lawyers who confront a massive scandal from the past head-on. Lee Na Young, Jung Eun Chae, and Lee Chung Ah star as founding partners of the law firm L&J (Listen and Join), which specializes in representing victims of crimes against women. Spoilers Previously in the drama, Han Min Seo (Jeon So Young) broke into Yoon Ra Young’s (Lee Na Young) house and stabbed her hand with an awl. She injected heroin into Hwang Hyun Jin’s (Lee Chung Ah) leg to knock her out and also subdued Lee Sun Hwa (Baek Ji Hye), who stole reporter Lee Jun Hyuk’s (Lee Choong Joo) laptop containing evidence of “Connect In’s” crimes. Han Min Seo, whose unpredictable actions are impossible to explain as moving in any single direction, has emerged as the key mystery that will drive the upcoming episode. Until now, her crimes were interpreted as a warning directed at the three L&J lawyers who are tracking the secret prostitution app “Connect In.” However, after she also attacked Lee Sun Hwa, who stole the laptop at the request of corrupt police officer Kim Seung Jin (Jung Hee Tae), it has become unclear whether Han Min Seo is even on the same side as “Connect In.” While attacking L&J, she simultaneously made choices that conflicted with the interests of “Connect In.” This confusing behavior makes Han Min Seo an even more dangerous variable. What draws even more attention is that prosecutor Park Jae Yeol (Seo Hyun Woo) himself cannot read her true intentions. In the preview for the upcoming seventh episode, Park Jae Yeol meets Han Min Seo in person and interrogates her intensely. But his words, “I thought you were completely with L&J, but apparently not. You’ve been hiding another scheme all along. What are you really after?” suggest that even he cannot grasp Han Min Seo’s real motives. Even when he harshly threatens her while demanding the laptop’s whereabouts, Han Min Seo draws a firm line and insists she knows nothing. The plot thickens when Han Min Seo provokes Park Jae Yeol with the bombshell statement, “Yoon Ra Young told me to copy your phone.” This is potentially devastating information that could once again endanger Yoon Ra Young, who used Park Jae Yeol’s wife, Hong Yeon Hee (Baek Eun Hye), as a counterattack card. Curiosity is growing over why Han Min Seo obtained Lee Jun Hyuk’s laptop, which law firm L&J had secured, and what she is plotting as both L&J and Park Jae Yeol find themselves caught in the middle of her unpredictable moves. The production team stated, “Although the identity of Han Min Seo has been revealed, her true motive has not yet come to light. Even Park Jae Yeol can’t fully grasp what she’s really after. As the drama enters its second half starting with the upcoming episode 7, an unexpected wave of truth will unfold regarding her suspicious actions.” Episode 7 of “Honour” will air on February 23 at 10 p.m. KST.
Yoo Yeon Seok And Esom’s “Phantom Lawyer” Reveals 3 Reasons To Watch The New Supernatural Legal Drama
SBS’s upcoming Friday–Saturday drama “Phantom Lawyer” has unveiled key points to watch ahead of its premiere! “Phantom Lawyer” is a quirky yet heartwarming legal drama that follows the adventures of Shin I Rang (Yoo Yeon Seok), a lawyer who can see ghosts, and elite attorney Han Na Hyun (Esom) as they resolve the lingering grievances of their very unusual clients—ghosts—through the law. Here are three reasons the drama is a must-watch: 1. Yoo Yeon Seok as a one-of-a-kind “possessed” lawyer — the birth of an accidental hero Shin I Rang opens his law office in Room 501 of Okcheon Building, which was once a shaman’s house. From the moment he moves in, his life takes an unexpected turn: he begins seeing ghosts and even experiences possession, forcing him to resolve the grudges of the dead. Though a lawyer who should rely on logic and reason, Shin I Rang suddenly finds himself acting like a spirit medium. With help from ghosts, he uncovers clues no one else can see, and whenever possession occurs, his speech, expressions, and mannerisms completely change. Unable to ignore injustice once he witnesses it, he becomes an unwilling hero who fights cases on behalf of the dead—making the arrival of this unprecedented “ghostly lawyer.” 2. Supernatural fun meets a cathartic courtroom drama with awesome chemistry Continuing SBS’s tradition of satisfying legal dramas, “Phantom Lawyer” adds a supernatural twist by revealing hidden sides of cases through ghostly perspectives while delivering fast-paced, cathartic courtroom moments. At Shin I Rang’s side is Han Na Hyun, a cold and highly rational elite lawyer who prioritizes winning above all else. Their contrast—his intuition and emotion versus her logic and reason—creates constant tension. Though they initially struggle to understand each other, their evolving partnership and chemistry will be a major highlight. They are joined by office manager and brother-in-law Yoon Bong Soo (Jeon Seok Ho), Father Matteo (Jung Seung Gil), who offers guidance at crucial moments, and spirits with their own stories. Together, the team at Okcheon Building’s Room 501 forms a unique cooperative dynamic, blending witty banter with unexpected teamwork. 3. Beyond ghosts: a story ultimately about people As the saying goes, “The dead cannot speak.” Those who died unjustly leave behind misunderstandings, distortions, and unresolved resentment. The drama begins from this premise: Shin I Rang listens, speaks, and fights on behalf of those who can no longer tell their stories. Here, the ability to see ghosts is not merely a horror device but a tool to uncover silenced truths. The courtroom revelations go beyond solving cases, helping the living confront emotional wounds and untangle relationships left unresolved. Though it may appear to be a ghost story, “Phantom Lawyer” ultimately tells a deeply human story. “Phantom Lawyer” premieres on March 13 at 9:50 p.m. KST.
Lee Na Young, Jung Eun Chae, And Lee Chung Ah Follow A New Lead At A Burial Site In “Honour”
“Honour” has unveiled new stills ahead of tonight’s episode! Spoilers The newly released stills capture Yoon Ra Young (Lee Na Young), Kang Shin Jae (Jung Eun Chae), and Hwang Hyun Jin (Lee Chung Ah) visiting a tree burial site together. In the photos, the three women gaze in different directions with solemn expressions. Yoon Ra Young’s deeply sunken gaze suggests that this visit goes beyond a simple step in their investigation. As L&J continues its relentless pursuit of the truth behind “Connect In,” it remains unclear whether they are tracking traces of someone directly linked to the case or uncovering a deeply personal story connected to Ra Young herself. Meanwhile, the preview for Episode 7 previously featured Hwang Hyun Jin’s meaningful line, “The victim is here now,” hinting at the existence of another victim of sexual exploitation connected to “Connect In.” As previously revealed cases appear to be only a fraction of a much larger structural crime, the scope of the investigation continues to expand. Adding to the tension, an emergency alert reading “Critical security threat detected” appears on the Connect In app interface, signaling cracks in what once seemed to be a flawless security system. The possible emergence of another victim is expected to become a key piece of evidence that could shift the course of the case. If a new victim comes forward, it may provide the decisive justification L&J needs to launch a full-scale counterattack. The production team shared, “The tree burial scene is an important moment that helps viewers better understand Yoon Ra Young emotionally and narratively. Please watch to see why she visits this place with her friends,” adding, “Whether another victim truly exists will also be a key point to watch in Episode 7.” Episode 7 of “Honour” will air on February 23 at 10 p.m. KST.
Park Sung Woong Goes From Corporate Manager To Novice Farmer In New Drama “Cabbage Your Life”
KBS2’s upcoming drama “Cabbage Your Life” has shared its first stills of Park Sung Woong! “Cabbage Your Life” is about the chaotic story about Sung Tae Hoon’s city family, who suddenly end up in Yeonriri village, as they struggle to return to Seoul. Park Sung Woong plays Sung Tae Hoon, who moves with his family to the rural village of Yeonriri after a sudden job transfer. Sung Tae Hoon worked his way up to a managerial position at a major company and, even in tough times, never gives up for his family. Park Sung Woong is set to show a dynamic transformation, portraying a head of household, a corporate employee, and a beginner farmer. The stills highlight the extreme moments of Sung Tae Hoon. Wearing a crisp suit and sunglasses that feel out of place in the clean but rugged village of Yeonriri, he exudes the presence of a corporate manager while creating a strangely funny and slightly pitiful scene. The images also show his side as a responsible family man who puts his family first. In another still, Sung Tae Hoon stands in the middle of a field, dressed in comfortable, dirt-stained clothes. Blending into nature, he gives off a completely different vibe, teasing how Sung Tae Hoon transforms from a corporate manager to a farmer almost overnight. With no farming knowledge or experience, all eyes are on whether Sung Tae Hoon can find true life healing in Yeonriri. “Cabbage Your Life” premieres on March 26 at 9:50 p.m. KST.
