Yoo Yeon Seok, Esom, And More Kick Off Script Reading For New Fantasy Legal Drama “Phantom Lawyer”
SBS’s upcoming Friday–Saturday drama “Phantom Lawyer” has shared a glimpse of its first script reading session! “Phantom Lawyer” is a quirky yet heartwarming legal drama that follows Shin Yi Rang (Yoo Yeon Seok), a lawyer who can see ghosts, and elite attorney Han Na Hyun (Esom) as they resolve the lingering grievances of their very unusual clients—ghosts—through the law. The script reading brought together director Shin Joong Hoon, writers Kim Ga Young and Kang Chul Gyu, and the main cast including Yoo Yeon Seok, Esom, Kim Kyung Nam, Jeon Seok Ho, Kim Mi Kyung, Son Yeo Eun, Lee Ah Rin, Jung Seung Gil, and Heo Sung Tae. Yoo Yeon Seok, who plays Shin Yi Rang—the lawyer who delivers satisfying justice by resolving the deep-seated grudges of the deceased—led the room with his fluid and versatile acting. From portraying a warm-hearted man who cannot ignore an elderly street vendor selling vegetables to delicately capturing the confusion and emotional turmoil that unfolds when he suddenly begins seeing ghosts, Yoo Yeon Seok showcased a wide emotional range. Notably making his first full-fledged attempt at comedic acting since his debut, he drew laughter throughout the room with his ever-changing speech patterns, facial expressions, and bold reactions whenever he portrayed possession scenes. Esom, who plays Han Na Hyun—the ace attorney of Taebaek Law Firm boasting a 100 percent win rate—instantly dominated the atmosphere with her cold and sharp charisma. She convincingly portrayed a character who feels alive only through winning cases, capturing her relentless drive and fierce ambition through intense eyes and a restrained tone. Kim Kyung Nam, who plays Yang Do Kyung—the representative of Taebaek Law Firm and Shin Yi Rang’s rival—delivered a compelling portrayal of precarious ambition and razor-sharp energy. As a character who has led the firm in the absence of his father, its true owner, he persuasively depicted a man fiercely striving to earn recognition and trust. The supporting characters, including the dependable “Yi Rang Family,” also add warmth to the story. Jeon Seok Ho, who plays Yi Rang’s brother-in-law Yoon Bong Soo, energized the atmosphere with his lively performance and boundless affection for his family. Yoon Bong Soo is a hard-working aspiring actor who works as a staff member at the “Doo Geun Doo Geun Butcher Restaurant,” boasting an eclectic resume filled with various part-time jobs undertaken in pursuit of realistic acting. After becoming the office manager at Shin Yi Rang’s law firm, his everyday survival knowledge shines unexpectedly. Kim Mi Kyung, who plays Yi Rang’s mother Park Kyung Hwa, firmly anchors the story with her commanding presence as the knife-wielding owner of the “Doo Geun Doo Geun Butcher Shop.” Though she raised Yi Rang while cutting meat at the shop, her tough exterior contrasts with her deeply warm and caring nature. Joining her are Son Yeo Eun as Yi Rang’s older sister Shin Sa Rang and Lee A Rin as Sa Rang’s daughter Yoon Da Bong, completing the cheerful and heartwarming family chemistry of the “Yi Rang Family.” Jung Seung Gil, who plays Father Matteo—a mysterious priest and another key pillar of Shin Yi Rang Law Office—adds a gentle warmth to the drama with his spring-like kindness and positive energy. He is set to offer meaningful advice to Shin Yi Rang at crucial moments. Moreover, other renowned actors, such as Heo Sung Tae, are also set to make special appearances in the drama as Shin Yi Rang’s special ghost clients. “Phantom Lawyer” is set to premiere on March 13 at 9:50 p.m. KST.
Lee Mi Sook And Kang Suk Woo Reflect On Their 40-Year Reunion And Mature Romance In “In Your Radiant Season”
Lee Mi Sook and Kang Suk Woo have shared more insight into their upcoming drama “In Your Radiant Season”! “In Your Radiant Season” tells the story of Sunwoo Chan (Chae Jong Hyeop), a man who lives each day like an exciting summer vacation, and Song Ha Ran (Lee Sung Kyung), a woman who has locked herself away as if life were a cold winter. Lee Mi Sook plays Kim Na Na, a first-generation fashion designer representing Korea and the head of “Nana Atelier.” A perfectionist with firm principles, Kim Na Na commands attention wherever she goes. As a sharp and decisive leader who has also raised her three granddaughters, she reaches a turning point in life when she unexpectedly reunites with her long-buried first love. Kang Suk Woo plays Park Man Jae, a barista who runs a quiet alley café called “Rest.” After retiring, Man Jae lives a slow, peaceful life, listening to people’s stories and offering comfort through his presence. Through regular customer Song Ha Ran, he reconnects with his longtime acquaintance Kim Na Na and begins a second spring in life. Lee Mi Sook explained her reason for choosing the project, saying, “I was drawn to its rare, analog-style sensibility, which is hard to find these days. Rather than a fast-paced story, the narrative quietly follows people’s emotions and the passage of time, and that depth really resonated with me.” She added, “Kim Na Na is a character who embodies the time and life of a woman who has lived diligently, which naturally drew me in as an actress.” Kang Seok Woo also expressed his affection for the project, sharing, “From my very first meeting with the production team, I felt that director Jung Sang Hee had thoroughly prepared for the project, which naturally earned my trust. The moment I read the script, I could almost smell coffee from the character, and I was confident that I could properly convey the unique emotional tone of the drama.” Both actors named “relatability” as a key point to watch in the drama. Lee Mi Sook shared, “It holds great meaning as a drama that families can watch together. It’s a project where each generation will find something they can relate to.” Kang Seok Woo similarly said, “Not only younger viewers but also middle-aged and older audiences will be able to reflect on their own love and lives through this story. I believe it will offer both vicarious satisfaction and warm comfort.” Notably, Lee Mi Sook and Kang Seok Woo are reuniting on screen for the first time in over 40 years since the film “Wanderer in Winter.” Lee Mi Sook remarked, “I was truly happy to reunite with him, and we shared a chemistry that didn’t require words. On set, I felt that an actor’s passion only deepens with time.” Kang Seok Woo added, “This is our first time meeting again as co-leads since the 1986 film ‘Wanderer in Winter,’ and I felt very excited. Rather than the innocent love of youth, I think we will be able to portray the deep love of people who have lived full lives.” Lastly, Lee Mi Sook said, “It has been a while since I encountered a drama that can resonate with viewers of all ages. I hope audiences will watch it comfortably with their families or while reflecting on their own lives.” Kang Seok Woo added, “For viewers who remember ‘Wanderer in Winter,’ I hope this becomes a warm moment to reminisce about the past and reflect on their own life journeys,” asking for viewers’ interest and support. “In Your Radiant Season” is set to premiere on February 20 at 9:50 p.m. KST.

Jin Se Yeon And Park Ki Woong Reunite Awkwardly At Work After Spending A Night Together In "Recipe For Love"
KBS2’s “Recipe for Love” has unveiled new stills! “Recipe for Love” is a family reconciliation drama about two families who have been entangled in bad blood for 30 years. As misunderstandings are resolved and old wounds begin to heal, the two households gradually come together and are reborn as one family. Spoilers Previously, Gong Joo Ah (Jin Se Yeon) firmly mistook Yang Hyun Bin (Park Ki Woong) for a stalker when, after the two spent a night together at the beach, he followed her all the way to her workplace. Only later did she learn—shocked—that he is actually the new executive director in charge of the fashion division at Taehan Group, and the two found themselves facing an unpredictable shift in their relationship. In the newly released stills, Gong Joo Ah and Yang Hyun Bin create subtle, intriguing tension that draws attention. Gong Joo Ah’s bright facial expression, as if she has set her embarrassment aside, and Yang Hyun Bin looking at her with a meaningful smile show that their reunion is anything but ordinary. Viewers are left wondering what turn their work lives will take from here. Meanwhile, the rivalry between Gong Jeong Han (Kim Seung Soo) and Yang Dong Ik (Kim Hyung Mook), ignited by the Merchants’ Association chairman election, gradually comes into full swing. The sight of the two facing each other across a single road, with facial expressions that trade off between grim resolve and discomfort, creates tension. On top of that, Gong Dae Han (Choi Dae Chul) and Yang Dong Sook (Jo Mi Ryung) join the fray as well, adding fuel to a showdown fought for the pride of their respective families. In this way, the fiery head-on clash between the Gong family and the Yang family is set to shake up Onjeong Market. With Gong Jeong Han determined to protect the market’s commercial district and Yang Dong Ik aiming to maximize profits by turning it into a franchise, anticipation is rising for the upcoming broadcast. Kim Hye Yoon And Lomon Continue Their Good Deeds On Lee Si Woo's Behalf In "No Tail To Tell"
SBS’s “No Tail to Tell” has shared a glimpse of tonight’s new episode! “No Tail to Tell” is a fantasy romance starring Kim Hye Yoon as Eun Ho, a quirky Gen Z gumiho (magical nine-tailed fox) who is determined not to become human, and Lomon as Kang Si Yeol, an overly confident world-class soccer player. The drama follows the chaotic journey of the two as they attempt to save one another. Spoilers In the previous episode, Pal Mi Ho (eight-tailed fox) (Lee Si Woo) proposed a way for everyone to return to their rightful places—suggesting that after she becomes a gumiho and switches fates with Eun Ho, Eun Ho, once she regained her powers, could restore Kang Si Yeol’s destiny. Although Eun Ho initially strongly opposed the idea after being reminded of Geum Ho, she eventually decided to follow Pal Mi Ho’s wishes and began a good-deeds project in her place. The newly released photos show Eun Ho and Kang Si Yeol under warm sunlight, shaking out bedding together and hanging laundry to dry. It creates a romantic atmosphere like a scene from a movie, but Eun Ho’s facial expression is actually sulky—like a child forced to do a chore they don’t want to do. In truth, they have gone out to do volunteer work together to rack up good deeds on Pal Mi Ho’s behalf. Attention is now on whether Eun Ho’s efforts and changes—having lived as a gumiho avoiding both even small good deeds and major wrongdoings for fear of accidentally becoming human—can truly help transform Pal Mi Ho into a gumiho. Meanwhile, another set of stills draws the eye with Eun Ho’s terrified facial expression. Above all, the identity of the white-haired old man (played by Jung Dong Hwan) approaching Eun Ho with eyes full of rage seems anything but ordinary. Curiosity is growing over what connection and backstory ties him to Eun Ho. The production team shared, “Mysterious teamwork between Eun Ho, Kang Si Yeol, and Pal Mi Ho has begun. Please stay tuned to see what true good deeds that can build Pal Mi Ho’s spiritual power will be and whether Eun Ho and Kang Si Yeol will be able to find the answer,” adding, “As we enter Part 2, the romance between the two will also deepen even further.” The next episode of “No Tail to Tell” will air on February 6 at 9:50 p.m. KST.
