Choi Jung Won Personally Speaks Up Regarding Recent Allegations Involving Girlfriend
Choi Jung Won, a former member of the duo UN, has personally addressed stalking allegations. On August 19, Seoul’s Jungbu Police Station said Choi Jung Won was booked on August 16 on suspicion of violating the Stalking Crime Punishment Act. Police then requested an emergency restraining order from the court, which was approved. On August 20, Choi Jung Won posted a lengthy statement on his social media account. Read the full statement below: Hello, this is Choi Jung Won. The report released yesterday was about a personal conflict between my girlfriend and me, and it was essentially a minor quarrel that escalated into a misunderstanding. In the heat of the moment, there was room for misinterpretation, and as a result, the situation was reported in a way that did not reflect the facts. I deeply regret that. The phrase “my girlfriend’s revelation,” which appeared in some reports, also comes from misunderstanding and does not match the facts. The claim that I threatened her with a weapon or that I engaged in stalking is completely false. Both my girlfriend and I firmly deny those allegations. I plan to take strong action against such false information. I sincerely apologize again that my personal life caused misunderstanding and that it led to troubling news. From now on, I will act with greater caution and with responsibility. I am sorry.
ADOR Appoints New CEO
HYBE subsidiary ADOR has appointed a new CEO. On August 20, the label revealed that Vice President Lee Do Kyung has been appointed as its new CEO. Explaining the decision, ADOR stated, “This move is intended to further strengthen the label’s operations as a company dedicated to planning and managing artists’ activities, including albums and concerts.” Previously, in August of last year, ADOR appointed HR specialist Kim Joo Young as CEO in order to separate production and management and stabilize its organizational structure through appropriate personnel restructuring. With those goals now accomplished, the board has chosen to shift toward a system that can more swiftly support artist activities and business growth—entrusting the role to a leader with hands-on expertise in label management. The newly appointed CEO, Lee Do Kyung, joined HYBE (formerly Big Hit Entertainment) in 2019, where she helped shape the company’s vision and business strategy while spearheading new ventures. In 2022, she served as Vice President of HYBE Music Group’s IPX Business Division, which focuses on expanding artist IP–based businesses, playing a key role in advancing solutions that leverage artist IP. Her track record also includes overseeing HYBE Music Group’s entire merchandise, pop-up store, and light stick businesses, as well as leading THE CITY project—a large-scale collaboration that applied artist IP across entire cities where concerts were held, offering fans immersive experiences beyond the stage.

Lee Jung Eun Transforms Into The Breadwinning Mother Of Kim Da Mi In New Drama “A Hundred Memories”
JTBC’s upcoming drama “A Hundred Memories” has shared a sneak peek of Lee Jung Eun’s special appearance! Set in the 1980s, “A Hundred Memories” is a nostalgic coming-of-age romance drama about the friendship between two young bus attendants, Go Young Rye (Kim Da Mi) and Seo Jong Hee (Shin Ye Eun), and their shared first love Han Jae Pil (Heo Nam Jun). Lee Jung Eun plays a resilient, hardworking head of the household and the devoted mother of Young Rye, showing the power of a mother who raised her children through the difficult years of the 1980s. Young Rye’s mother lost her husband shortly after giving birth to her youngest daughter and has raised four children on her own. Though every one of her children is precious to her, like many mothers of that era, she believes the family will prosper only if her eldest child succeeds. She receives help from Young Rye, the eldest daughter, who wears a uniform instead of a school outfit to work as a bus attendant. While she carries feelings of guilt and deep affection in her heart, her personality—or perhaps her pride—makes it difficult for her to express them openly. In the stills, late at night, she pulls a handcart to provide for her family and later sets a table in the yard for a meal, vividly depicting life in an ordinary 1980s household and realistically portraying a mother bearing the weight of her family. The production team said, “Actress Lee Jung Eun will play an important emotional role that adds depth to the story, going beyond a simple special appearance. Her mother-daughter chemistry with Kim Da Mi will have a strong impact on viewers.” They added, “Please look forward to Lee Jung Eun’s powerful performance, which vividly captures the life of a mother in the 1980s with both subtlety and strength.” “A Hundred Memories” will premiere on September 13 at 10:40 p.m. KST.
Ma Dong Seok And Park Hyung Sik Stand On Opposite Sides Of Good And Evil In “Twelve”
The upcoming action hero series “Twelve” has unveiled new stills ahead of the premiere! Inspired by the 12 zodiac animals of the East, “Twelve” tells the story of 12 angels living in the human world in human form to protect the Korean Peninsula from evil spirits. Long ago, the angels barely managed to seal the forces of evil in the gates of hell through their sacrifice, bringing peace. However, with the evil spirits awakening, chaos returns. The newly released stills highlight the conflict between the angels, led by Tae San (Ma Dong Seok), and the forces of evil, centered on Ogui (Park Hyung Sik). Thousands of years ago, eight angels lost four of their own in a monumental battle but ultimately sealed the gates of hell, bringing peace to the world. Since then, the angels who remained on Earth in human form, sealing a special power within the gates, have quietly stayed by humanity’s side, enduring countless hardships over the centuries. Despite humanity’s endless selfishness and their own guilt over lost comrades, their resolve to protect the world has never wavered. In the released stills, the angels are shown running “Angel Capital” in a peaceful human world, protecting the good from evil humans. Although they had vowed never to interfere in human affairs again, they rise and take action when the forces of evil resurface. Meanwhile, the forces of evil have gathered strength once again to dominate the world. Sa Min (Kim Chan Hyung), a priest who’s on evil’s side, plans to awaken Ogui and use his power to plunge the world into darkness. In another still, Sa Min casts a piercing gaze, while Ogui, standing beside him, displays a sharp, menacing presence. The image hints at the dark shadow about to fall and heightens anticipation for the intense clash between good and evil. “Twelve” will premiere on August 23 at 9:20 p.m. KST.
