Lee Young Ae Dishes On Her Upcoming Drama “Walking On Thin Ice”
Lee Young Ae has shared her thoughts on her upcoming drama “Walking on Thin Ice”! “Walking on Thin Ice” will tell the story of the dangerous partnership between Kang Eun Soo (Lee Young Ae), a mother desperate to protect her family, and Lee Kyung (Kim Young Kwang), a teacher who secretly leads a double life. Lee Young Ae stars as Kang Eun Soo, a mother who once lived an ordinary life but is pushed to the brink overnight when her husband’s illness worsens and the family plunges into financial ruin. One day, she finds a suspicious bag left behind by someone and becomes unexpectedly connected to her daughter’s after-school art teacher, Lee Kyung. This partnership ultimately drives her to cross a forbidden line. On why she chose to star in the drama, Lee Young Ae shared, “I chose the drama because I liked the power and message it conveys. I hope ‘Walking on Thin Ice’ becomes not only a new milestone for KBS dramas but also for me personally. While filming, I felt many emotions and synergies, which made me determined to give my best.” She continued, “At first, I worried that the drug-related theme might be too heavy or make society seem darker. But I trusted Director Song Hyun Wook to handle the story in a way that is serious yet entertaining, and I believed that ‘Walking on Thin Ice’ could provide an opportunity to highlight social issues.” Talking about her character Eun Soo, Lee Young Ae explained, “Kang Eun Soo is an ordinary mother and wife who is grounded in reality, but she gradually transforms into a person who goes beyond her true nature. At first, I thought I could act comfortably and like my usual self. However, her transformation beyond her true nature was extremely interesting.” She added, “Eun Soo starts out living a peaceful and ordinary life, but as the story progresses, she becomes a morally complex character. She could be both a perpetrator and a victim, yet I hope she can still offer viewers a small sense of hope until the end.” Regarding the physical demands of her role, she revealed, “In the latter half of the drama, there are many chase and action scenes, so I managed my stamina with strength training and treadmill workouts. There are scenes where Eun Soo’s previously calm emotions explode, and I hope viewers feel catharsis through those scenes.” Lee Young Ae also expressed complete trust in her co-stars. She remarked, “I was delighted to work with actors I have always admired. Kim Young Kwang brings energy and spontaneity, creating great synergy. Park Yong Woo’s serious approach to acting made me reflect on myself.” “Walking on Thin Ice” will premiere on September 20 at 9:20 p.m. KST.
Go Hyun Jung Brings Chills As Serial Killer In New Drama “Queen Mantis”
SBS’s upcoming drama “Queen Mantis” has unveiled new stills featuring Go Hyun Jung! A remake of the French series “La Mante,” “Queen Mantis” is a crime thriller starring Go Hyun Jung as Jung Yi Shin, a famous serial killer nicknamed “The Mantis” who brutally murdered five men 20 years ago and has been imprisoned ever since. When a new serial killer emerges, copying The Mantis’s distinctive style, the police approach Jung Yi Shin for her assistance in solving the case. Jang Dong Yoon plays detective Cha Soo Yeol, who must work alongside his mother Jung Yi Shin, whom he has despised his entire life. The newly released stills highlight Go Hyun Jung’s powerful performance. Ma Dong Seok And Park Hyung Sik Stand On Opposite Sides Of Good And Evil In “Twelve”
The upcoming action hero series “Twelve” has unveiled new stills ahead of the premiere! Inspired by the 12 zodiac animals of the East, “Twelve” tells the story of 12 angels living in the human world in human form to protect the Korean Peninsula from evil spirits. Long ago, the angels barely managed to seal the forces of evil in the gates of hell through their sacrifice, bringing peace. However, with the evil spirits awakening, chaos returns. The newly released stills highlight the conflict between the angels, led by Tae San (Ma Dong Seok), and the forces of evil, centered on Ogui (Park Hyung Sik). Thousands of years ago, eight angels lost four of their own in a monumental battle but ultimately sealed the gates of hell, bringing peace to the world. Since then, the angels who remained on Earth in human form, sealing a special power within the gates, have quietly stayed by humanity’s side, enduring countless hardships over the centuries. Despite humanity’s endless selfishness and their own guilt over lost comrades, their resolve to protect the world has never wavered. In the released stills, the angels are shown running “Angel Capital” in a peaceful human world, protecting the good from evil humans. Although they had vowed never to interfere in human affairs again, they rise and take action when the forces of evil resurface. Meanwhile, the forces of evil have gathered strength once again to dominate the world. Sa Min (Kim Chan Hyung), a priest who’s on evil’s side, plans to awaken Ogui and use his power to plunge the world into darkness. In another still, Sa Min casts a piercing gaze, while Ogui, standing beside him, displays a sharp, menacing presence. The image hints at the dark shadow about to fall and heightens anticipation for the intense clash between good and evil. “Twelve” will premiere on August 23 at 9:20 p.m. KST.

Kim Go Eun And Park Ji Hyun’s Friendship Faces Trials And Twists Across Four Decades In “You And Everything Else”
“You and Everything Else” has unveiled new character stills that trace the lives of Kim Go Eun and Park Ji Hyun’s characters across the decades. “You and Everything Else” tells the story of two lifelong friends, Eun Jung (Kim Go Eun) and Sang Yeon (Park Ji Hyun), whose relationship is filled with love, admiration, jealousy, and even resentment. Deeply intertwined, their bonds are marked by emotional highs and lows. The stills capture Eun Jung and Sang Yeon at every stage of life—from their first encounter as teenagers, through their twenties and thirties, and into their forties. The keyword for their teenage years is an “innocent first meeting.” The stills highlight Eun Jung and Sang Yeon’s contrasting personalities during their school days. Young Eun Jung (played by Kim Bo Min, who recently changed her stage name to Do Yeong Seo) is bright and sociable, well-liked by her classmates. Sang Yeon (Park Seo Kyung), on the other hand, struggles to connect with peers. Their differing family backgrounds further shape their bond: Eun Jung grows up in a modest household, while Sang Yeon is raised in comfort and privilege. Between them arises a delicate mix of admiration, envy, and unspoken emotions that mark the beginning of their friendship. The keyword for their twenties is a “coincidental first reunion.” Eun Jung (Kim Go Eun) and Sang Yeon (Park Ji Hyun) meet again by chance at a university club. Their bright smiles in the stills suggest a warm reconnection, sparking curiosity about what lies ahead. Eun Jung, intrigued by Sang Yeon’s seemingly changed demeanor, wonders about her old friend, while Sang Yeon acts as though nothing has changed—leaving questions about where their relationship will head next. In their thirties, the keyword shifts to an “uncomfortable second reunion.” Unlike their lively twenties, the stills capture a tense, darker atmosphere, hinting that something unsettling has occurred between them. Eun Jung is unsettled by Sang Yeon, who remains as inscrutable as ever. As the two continue to clash, the drama raises questions about what incidents have marred their friendship and what turning points await them. Finally, the keyword for their forties is an “incomprehensible request.” After years of distance, Sang Yeon approaches Eun Jung once more, this time with a shocking plea: to accompany her to Switzerland for assisted dying, as she has been diagnosed with terminal cancer. Uncomfortable and confused at Sang Yeon’s desperate request, viewers are left wondering what choice Eun Jung will ultimately make and where their story will lead. “You and Everything Else” is set to premiere on September 12.
