Lee Soo Hyuk In Talks Along With Suzy And Dex For New Fantasy Drama
Lee Soo Hyuk may be teaming up with Suzy and Dex for the upcoming drama “The Men of the Harem” (literal title). On August 26, industry insiders reported that Lee Soo Hyuk has been cast for a leading role in “The Men of the Harem.” In response to the reports, his agency SARAM Entertainment stated, “He has received an offer to appear in the drama and is positively reviewing it.” Based on a popular web novel, “The Men of the Harem” is a fantasy romance drama about Empress Latil of the Tarim Empire, who brings in male concubines in order to protect her throne. Director Lee Eung Bok, known for “Sweet Home 2,” “Sweet Home 3,” “Mr. Sunshine,” and “Goblin,” is set to helm the series. Writer Hwang Jin Young, who wrote MBC’s “My Dearest,” will also be joining the project. Previously, the agencies of Suzy and Dex confirmed that both stars are in discussions to appear in the drama. The 2025 Asia Artist Awards (AAA) has unveiled its first lineup of actors! Park Bo Gum and IU are confirmed to attend the 10th Anniversary AAA, which will be held December 6 at Kaohsiung National Stadium. The duo, who recently starred together in “When Life Gives You Tangerine,” is drawing global attention for their dazzling chemistry. Billboard has published its World Albums chart for the week ending on August 23! After two weeks at No. 1, TXT’s latest album “The Star Chapter: TOGETHER” dropped to No. 2 in its fourth consecutive week on the World Albums chart. The album also spent its third week on the Billboard 200 at No. 125. ENHYPEN’s latest mini album “DESIRE : UNLEASH” held onto its spot at No. 3 in its 11th week on the World Albums chart, while their previous album “ROMANCE : UNTOLD” climbed back up to No. 13 in its 57th week on the chart. ATEEZ’s “GOLDEN HOUR : Part.3” also maintained its position at No. 4 in its ninth week on the chart. BTS swept the next two spots on this week’s chart, with their live album “PERMISSION TO DANCE ON STAGE – LIVE” taking No. 5 in its fourth week and their 2022 anthology album “Proof” rising to No. 6 in its 166th week. BTS’s Jungkook has achieved an impressive new feat on YouTube! According to BIGHIT MUSIC, on August 24 at 2:24 a.m. KST, Jungkook’s music video for his 2023 solo hit “Standing Next to You” surpassed 200 million views on YouTube. With this latest achievement, all three of Jungkook’s music videos from his solo debut album “GOLDEN”—“Seven” (featuring Latto), “3D” (featuring Jack Harlow), and “Standing Next to You”—have now reached 200 million views, making him the first K-pop soloist ever to hit the 200 million mark with three official music videos from the same album. Jungkook originally released the music video for “Standing Next to You” on November 3, 2023 at 1 p.m. KST, meaning that it took just over one year, nine months, and 20 days to reach the milestone. August Singer Brand Reputation Rankings Announced
The Korean Business Research Institute has revealed this month’s brand reputation rankings for singers! The rankings were determined through an analysis of singers’ media coverage, consumer participation, interaction, and community awareness indexes, using big data collected from July 23 to August 23. BTS rose to the top of this month’s list after seeing a 25.31 percent increase in their brand reputation index, bringing their total score to 9,535,953 for August. Lim Young Woong climbed to second place with a brand reputation index of 7,311,589, marking a 25.97 percent rise in their score since July. BLACKPINK took third place for the month with a brand reputation index of 6,822,422, while PSY ranked fourth with a score of 2,806,940. Netflix’s upcoming series “Genie, Make A Wish” has unveiled its date announcement poster and teaser! “Genie, Make A Wish” follows the mysterious spirit Genie (Kim Woo Bin), who awakens from a thousand-year slumber to grant three life-changing wishes to Ka Young (Suzy), an emotionless young woman who suddenly finds herself the new owner of a magical lamp. As Genie tries to adjust to the modern world with his devilish ways, he and the emotionally guarded Ka Young find themselves drawn into an unexpected and electrifying romance.
