다 이루어질지니
Cold, impassive Ga Yeong has spent her life under her grandmother’s care, whose watchful eye and tough-love approach have helped keep Ga Yeong’s psychopathic tendencies in check. When Ga Yeong unexpectedly stumbles upon a magical lamp, she awakens the mysterious spirit Genie from his thousand-year slumber — and yes, he promises the young woman three life-changing wishes. Unleashed into a new millennium, Genie’s mischievous magic shakes up Ga Yeong’s quiet life, and as he navigates the unfamiliar realities of the modern world, the two find themselves in a surprising whirlwind romance. But just when things couldn’t get any less predictable, Ga Yeong learns her wish-granting sidekick is actually Iblis, better known as Satan, who is hell-bent on proving that humans are corruptible. It’s a whole new twist on the genie-in-a-lamp story, and when Ga Yeong’s intractability and tightly controlled routines meet Genie’s trickster energy and clueless charm, it sets the stage for a romance that will be anything but ordinary. as he navigates the unfamiliar realities of the modern world, the two find themselves in a surprising whirlwind romance. Reviews
You need to Watch This ! An anticipated drama that revealed a poster reminiscent of Aladdin, we couldn't help but think about it. Despite the extravagant ensemble, there are several points where I have mixed feelings. What I like:Original concept: The story of a genie forced to grant three wishes to a woman who feels nothing is intriguing and adds a modern fairytale dimension.Direction: The sets, lighting, and scenes shot in exotic locations like Dubai create a visually stunning atmosphere!Leading couple: The reunion of Suzy and Kim Woo-bin, which I wanted to see again, and screenwriter Kim Eun-sook is known for writing popular dramas. The music!! Finally, an album for a Netflix production. The kissing scenes! The problems:Uneven atmosphere: I found them alternating between romance, comedy, and fantasy in a somewhat awkward manner. Characters: The heroine, played by Bae Suzy, is deliberately distant and cold, which is unsettling.Pacing: A somewhat long start that lacks fluidity.Sensitive references: The use of terms related to religion or myths may bother some fans. The numerous characters and underlying plotsThis is a drama that plays on magic, love, and the fairytale side, but can be disconcerting due to its sometimes strange tone and irregular pacing. It will especially appeal to those who enjoy fantasy K-dramas with a strong visual dimension and atypical characters, but it might be less suitable for those looking for a classic or very realistic plot. Overall, it's not perfect, but to attack the acting, as I've read in some places, I don't agree. For me, it was both a challenge and a reunion, like a gift for us (fans of this pairing), so I'm satisfied with the whole thing because there's still a huge amount of work in 13 episodes with lots of elements and special effects throughout!I recommend it despite its imperfections.
A Breath of Fresh air in monotonous Kdrama land This review will be in two parts. 1st part - the actual drama &2nd part - my views on the hateful comment section this and many other dramas are getting. ---------------- 1st PART --------------------I am forced to write this review as this drama is getting buried by the false hateful rating, reviews and comments it is getting. This drama experiments with many new intresting elements new to Kdramas. Good parts :-1) 4th wall breaking scenes (like Deadpool) are new and it is done so that it doesn't feel jarring to usual narrative and continuation.2) Humour is not rinse and repeat i.e. jokes are new and even made including 4th wall like Song hye kyo guest where she acknowledges her real life character. The jokes are actually funny.3) Psychopath character are done in so many ways in kdramas that it gets increasingly difficult to portray it with new twist. But Bae Suzy does it so good by being a inherently good psychopath who doesn't feel emotions.4) All the actors and side characters were good with their acting especially or ML the genie. 5)Side Character stories are good and their three wishes are what holds the whole plot of this drama for 13 episodes and doesn't make it monotonous.Bad parts: 1) Side Character should have been given more time to flesh out their stories and doesn't make the some plot points repetitive.2) Too many famous faces especially including Ahn Eun Jin was not justified by not giving her enough time to act out her scenes.3) OST felt lacking. Some good songs were needed to emphasize plots. 4) Too many plots to cover lead to fast pacing which made it tough to immerse yourself in the drama. Overall this is a good one time watch for its fantasy genre, Chemistry between both leads and enchanting visuals.----------------- 2nd Part-------------------------PEOPLE WITH FRAGILE FEELINGS KEEP AWAYWith my watch history there should have been more reviews but I don't like writing. I was angry enough to write this review after seeing the bad rating and comments this and many other drama is getting.First off to start, STOP IMPOSING YOUR IDEA OF BLASPHEMY ON OTHERS. Blasphemy doesn't always have to be religious it can also be cultural. Someone's cherished views of their culture can be different from other's view of cultures. That doesn't mean one can be racist but everyone is free to hold their views. People were also hating on Tempest and Bon Appetit, Your Majesty. WHY IS IT ALWAYS WITH CIVILIZATIONS WHERE THEIR IS LIMITED FREE SPEECH THAT THEY HAVE A PROBLEM WITH CREATIVE WORKS OF FICTIONAL DRAMAS? Islam has Blasphemy and Chinese have their party controlled walled garden. If you don't like something don't watch. Is it so hard to understand the concept of free speech. This drama is based on Arab culture which is basically Persian. Genies are supposed to be from Arab mythology. People might have raged if their was korean genie with no arabic backstory.Every ancient civilization had a dark past of Slavery. Even Historically this drama was not wrong in showing slavery and killings, if anything they were tame in their descriptionsof barbarity. On the scale of barbaric civilizations my rating would beGenghis Khan > Assyrians > Islam > ... Islamic history is rife with sending conquering hordes of fundamentalists to either convert and loot others. They left alive those who forcefully converted , looted wealth and took s*x slaves even i.e. harems. They burned libraries and were chief in destroying paganic persian civilizations from which they descended. All this is historical fact and even now some(they are a minority) are more fundamentalists than others i.e. terrorists. But not everyone in that part of world is like that like Saudi, UAE, etc. Finally stop downrating based on factors other than the actual drama. Let's not make other's experience bad and give death threats in comments.
Loved it I dont understand why there are such bad reviews, but it's like they say ' to each his own'. I loved it. The acting was great. The storyline, although it is about a genie and the usual 3 wishes, this one had a different perspective which I've not seen before. I was interested throughout the show and really enjoyed it. I gave it a 10. Watch it before making a decision.
