FL and SML ruined it. the beginning had potential but as soon the SML came into story it shifted into a love triangle instead of focusing on the baby.... Baby being neglected bad, Like that was supposed to be the whole story plot..... And frankly the SML and FL getting kinda corny together.... Expected better from the studio. Wasted potential.

Biggest red flag FL Premise was great, it had potential to become hit with simplistic story but deep message. Instead it went downhill fast.FL is biggest red flag in kdrama land that i've seen this far. She makes promises she can't keep, she uses people and she is just bland as a character. She promises to take primary guardianship of the baby and as soon as hot man arrives, baby is forgotten to MLs care. She neglects baby multiple times and she really doesn't deserve guardianship at all. She doesn't deserve ML or the baby.ML is classic green flag character who bends his back to prop up FL and FL throws it all to dumpster to date SML. At this point of the drama, i wish he would grow a spine and take the baby away from FL cause she doesn't really do anything to help anyways and start family of two.SML is completely unnecessary character. He is epitome what death of creativity means in this business. He adds nothing and takes away importance from the great premise and destroys it with FL.Conclusions: This could've been superb unlikely family drama if it just did what the premise promised. Now it became another love triangle drama among the sea of them with nothing setting it a part. It is so shallow and disappointing.

Let's get our priorities straight I know I probably shouldn't write a review when only half of the series is out, but this is too frustrating. The story revolves around two in-laws who came together to raise a baby after an unfortunate accident, or so I thought (and hoped). I don't normally start with the bad aspects of drama, but this can not be ignored. The plot relies way too heavily on the love triangle, and it's taking up so much screen time that it's starting to get annoying. I'm not a love triangle hater. I enjoyed series such as "Lovely Runner", "True Beauty" or "Can This Love Be Translated?" — these are some popular examples — but this one is way over-the-top.The SML affection towards the FL makes no sense. Literally no contact for 7 years, but he somehow still loves her? Make that make sense. They weren't even dating, there was literally no time for his yearning to grow to this degree. And what's with the sudden ownership over the FL in ep 6? "OUR Hyunjin"?! What gives him the right? The FL isn't completely innocent either. She could've set the record straight from the start and not lead him on. It's true that she had no interest in the ML in the beginning, but at least when she realised something was going on, she could've stopped giving the SML so much attention and giving him hope. Moving on from the bad aspects, there is a good side to this drama as well. The story in nothing really out of the ordinary, but the actors really deliver it. I do get some second-hand embarrassment sometimes — and I can feel the awkwardness through the screen — but it's enjoyable. The main leads' backstories are both tragic in one way or another. In the end they're two broken people coming together to raise a child in a manner which they didn't get to experience. I'm not going to go into to much detail. The cinematography and OSTs are also good. I didn't pay much attention to the music, but it fits the overall vibe of the drama. In the end, if you enjoy love triangles, or a cosy story with small hiccups along the way, its a good kdrama.

This review may contain spoilers When the Univer...

When the Universe is not the centre of the plot There's always something great about dramas that can hook you from minute one. Actually T-minus several days, maybe months before minute one. The premise of Our Universe ensured that, because as someone who has been sorely disappointed with recent Kdramas, I contemplate over twenty times before I add something to my list, and they got me excited about this just based off of the premise. Granted I let out a chilling scream when I found out Park Seo Ham was also in it but we're all allowed to have layers, let's not dig too deep. The exact premise that got me so excited was - two bickering in-laws, having to raise their nephew together, growing and healing from the pain of losing their siblings and coming to become a family of three, maybe even falling in love in the process. I was naive to think we'd get any of that. The first episode makes it incredibly difficult to believe me. It was such a good one, that was the pace and story needed for twelve episodes. But I'm not wrong, because episodes 2-12 are my proof. It went so wrong so quickly, it's laughable. The healing is nearly non-existent, what should be minimal romance turns into a full love triangle and the namesake of the show, our Universe? He's barely in it!The story is a hot mess, filled with clichés. Seriously, imagine a cliché and it's probably in it. Mild annoyance that leads to love, a love triangle, miscommunication, adults behaving like children for comedy, a strained sibling relationship, deadbeat parents, you name it, we've got it! Even if you watch with no expectations (unlike me), this muddled mess will not be a pleasing experience. But that's okay, because the characters are so well written and you can't help but root for them through every terrible trope thrown their way (I lie)Let's start with Woo Hyeon Jin, the hardworking and tenacious lead whose only source of strength and support is her elder sister. They have only each other, they're devoted to each other, willing to go to any length and somehow their final conversation is an argument. How else are we supposed to make her feel sad and guilty about losing her sister? We need that extra trauma, it's not a Kdrama without it. I don't like her.I have so many problems with the way she was written, the least of all being that she definitely got her job because she knew her eventual boss. It's fine, the job market is actual trash. But after she gets the job her entire character and arc is reduced to being in love? We've just completely discarded the fact that she is Woo Ju's legal guardian because she's busy being in love! And throughout the drama, we see her be selfish, flimsy and make the worst decisions ever because she's got a crush. Which, in a rom-com would be so relatable that I'd want to jump through the screen to give her a hug but she's not in a rom-com! Woo Ju's terrible twos are nothing compared to her tantrum twenties. All of this, for a man who's single character trait can be chalked down to handsome (he's so handsome I want to cry). Park Yun Seong, he's handsome, talented, sweet and maybe a little inappropriate, because the unconfirmed hiring allegations aside, he's in love with his subordinate who was his junior in university. Seven years ago, which is absurd, considering they didn't even date, just crushing on each other. His entire character is also, obviously, reduced to that crush, because no matter how complex human beings may be, Kdrama = crush. He's an okay character, he's there and he looks like Seo Ham so woot I guess. He's just way too involved in the lives of people who should not mean that much to him, and it's screaming inappropriate many times. I don't know, it takes a lot to make me not want Seo Ham on my screen, but they are doing the utmost to achieve that.As for Son Tae Hyung, I like him. He's the only character with a decent amount of screentime who managed to make me not rage out. Sure, he did start out as a mean guy, who is of course estranged from his elder brother because again, Kdramas love trauma, only coming back into each other's orbit for a second before he decides never again. But he eventually does return, for his own selfish reasons but thank goodness for this thing called character development. Tae Hyeong really steps up. After losing his brother, he meets Woo Ju, and though not all is amazing in the beginning, he steps up as an uncle and grows as a person. As to why I'm mentioning him after Yun Seong or why I haven't covered much of the plot - it's because of one irritating love triangle that almost made me chuck my phone out of the window.Tae Hyung is basically reduced to being Woo Ju's glorified babysitter. He's the male lead, supposed to be atleast, and he's out there pulling more than his weight in all aspects but being the male lead. That love triangle ate up screentime like it was no one's business, I wasn't into the romance in the first place but you're telling me there's a love triangle I have to pay attention to?! Never lost interest in anything quicker. To top it all of, no one has chemistry with anyone. I still don't understand why any of those people fell for each other, because none of them had much going on for them. Maybe Tae Hyung did for a bit, but not enough that it warrants such huge feelings!! I'm so mad right now, because this was not what I wanted, not what should have been the focus, it was so annoying to watch them all behave the way they did and have everything about them reduced to who they were falling in love with.Through it all, we didn't even talk about our main character. If I can only talk about him as much as the drama did, this paragraph wouldn't exist. For a show called Our Universe, Woo Ju (Universe) was barely in it. He's in it for two minutes per episode, tops. I'm sure they did it that way to give him a safe and relaxed working environment but he doesn't necessarily have to be on screen to be the focus! Ugh, I'm getting annoyed even writing this. No, the universe in question belonged to Hyeon Jin and I hated it.If we think deep about it, this drama has many, many problems. Much more than I've mentioned but honestly, I do not care. A story that relies on tropes and clichés more than it does it's own writing, unlikeable characters getting the majority of screentime and what I'm beginning to think is a sure fire way of ruining a good plot, romance, completely bog down what should have been one of the best Kdramas of the year. Instead, the creators chose to rage bait us and this is where we are now.Not to say it was completely irredeemable, like I said Tae Hyung was a good character, I liked his interactions with his friends and how he was able to heal from all his past trauma. All the friendship related interactions were amazing, I love seeing supportive friend groups. Even though his character was nothing to hit home about, Seo Ham. Tae Hyung's interactions with Woo Ju. Actually, everything about Woo Ju.But Woo Ju is not enough to make me like this, he was amazing but I genuinely hated so much about this drama. I would rather watch a drama about Tae Hyung and his friends trying to raise Woo Ju, or about Tae Hyung confronting his trauma and reconciling with it through his photography, or literally just Woo Ju being Woo Ju. I wasted my time on this despite getting glimpses of all this throughout the runtime, and I would not recommend this to anyone. I'm so disappointed and angry and I fear this may turn into a rant the further I write, so I'll just say, this is not worth a watch.

i hate the female lead when i first watched it it was awesome. I liked the plot and the baby is so freaking cute. But when the 2nd male lead appeared it became a bullshit cus why the hell do you show me his past and their love the whole episode and not the main leads(baby and ml). I watched like 4 series in one sitting but it became too boring and absolutely embarrassing. FL wasnt a good “parent” so i wont recommend this series even to just watch it for the entertainment But the baby is so sweet. i d like more scenes of him

toxic drama the FL sucks , she is such a red flag ...

toxic drama the FL sucks , she is such a red flag After episode 8, for me, this drama's rating dropped from 10 to 2.The SML things that he is the boss in their House and family. Is so upsetting. How can you impose yourself in such a way between members who try to raise and make a program for a baby. The words and the way he speaks to Tae Hyeong is crazy. Is like in the Positively yours drama. The FL is such a red flag. The FL does not have any connection with the baby. Do you see it? She is not amused at all. it's crazy how he let herself be in a connection with her boss, the first love. Immature, not attractive, luck of emotional intelligence. and fisicaly she is looking like a teenager not a woman. Please eat something. The baby and the ML needs a new house and a mature woman. And other thing that I don't like is the father. He does not deserve anything from his son. The better way is to stay away, and only if the son want s to connect to be their, but I hope not. A parent that treats his own child like this does not deserve any future connection. The father is intrusive. and talks like an unloved child to the neighbors with Woo Hyeon Jin he wants to have a relationship with his son like nothing happens.if you will have a father like this one, don't forget you have the right to say to him NO, you can protect yourself mentally and emotionally from a trauma like this. You can forgive him, for yourself, to set your soul free, but you can say no, I don't want to see you never again. You can choose the type of relationship you want, even if he is your father. Dont let yourself cut in the story of a good family. If is not real for you is correct .The way they put again in 2026 the abuse of a child from adults, as the child is blamed for the father mistake with money. It's unlivable how the Korean adults treats children.I love the baby, I love how Tae Hyeong green flag is. I hopped for a good drama. I love his talent with photography. And for the fist time I feel a FL deserves another woman in his life, not a teenager like Woo Hyeon Jin.

This review may contain spoilers Petition to cha...

Petition to change the title to "Our Sunbae" *Minor Spoilers Alert*What exactly went wrong with this drama?Did the writer mix up the ML and SML scripts?Did the director forget that the SML is not the ML and therefore shouldn’t be having half the romantic & swoonworthy moments with the FL?Or did the production house get confused and promote the wrong man as the ML?OHH OH OH WAIT, maybe they just wanted to make a clownery out of the viewers? Because that’s honestly what it looks like to me. But let me tell you some (or maybe more) things for sure so you can save your time. This show actually follows its script for… what, maybe three episodes max? Yes. Three. After that, it completely forgets what it was supposed to be and turns into AGLTTNOCAFAYIBTEP (a goddamn love triangle that no one gives a fk about, yet somehow it becomes the entire plot). UGH.Let me tell you the synopsis of THIS drama."After a tragic accident leaves their nephew Woo Joo orphaned, Hyun Jin and Tae Hyung are forced to raise him together despite their rocky first impression of each other. Thrown into the unfamiliar role of co-parents, they struggle to navigate childcare and their new responsibilities. Tae Hyeong, a photographer who prefers control and solitude, gradually begins to develop unexpected feelings for Hyun Jin. Meanwhile, Hyun Jin, still grieving her sister, focuses on raising U Ju as a way to honor her. As they spend more time together, their relationship slowly begins to change, though she hesitates to follow her heart"Now like a teacher point by point I'm gonna correct the errors in this synopsis:First of all, this show is supposed to be about the baby, right? The child whose parents tragically died in an accident?Because from what I watched, the plot barely revolves 10% around the baby and 90% around the SML and FL.The term co-parent literally means: “to share the duties of bringing up a child.” Someone please explain where that sharing is happening here, because ONLY Tae Hyung is taking care of the baby.“Hyun Jin focuses on raising Woo Joo” excuse me, where? Because from what the show actually portrays, she focuses more on the SML. Meanwhile, she signed up to take responsibility for a 1.5 year old child, yet 95% of the time the uncle is the one handling the baby.I’m not saying she has to sacrifice her career for the kid. But if you’re incapable of handling a literal human being, maybe don’t step up to become his legal guardian in the first place. Handling a child is not a casual side quest. Now this is like 10-15% of the drama. Do you wanna know what is the other 85-90%? A STUPID AND UNNECESSARY LOVE TRAINGLE.I was hooked by the baby. I swear, how could anyone not be? He would be the apple of anyone’s eye. His crying scene made me terribly sad; I actually sobbed:( But as the show progressed, his screen time became almost negligible. I know we can’t expect a 1.5-year old to “act,” but at least the plot could have focused on his parenting and the struggles of balancing a career while raising him. Instead, that part is brushed off with minimal story, while most of the focus shifts to the FL’s love life. LAME.This is peak catfishing! The marketing? Misleading. The drama? Pure Ragebait. If the story had only focused on the Main Leads, I honestly wouldn’t have minded. But the SML feels completely unnecessary to the plot. He’s the one flirting and getting all those romantic scenes with the FL which, by the way, are the scenes the ML should be having with her. He barely has any relevance to the actual plot, yet somehow the entire story keeps revolving around him. I didn’t sign up to watch “Our Sunbae.”Let’s go through the characters, even though the story mainly revolves around SML;Tae Hyung, ML (namesake): He honestly has such a green-flag personality. Even though he never wanted to be involved with the baby at first, he slowly grew attached to him more than even the aunt did. What started as responsibility turned into a genuine connection. I also love how he never forced his feelings onto the FL, yet he was always concerned about her wellbeing.Hyun Jin, FL: Her being confused between the two isn’t really the issue. The problem is that she could easily turn one down while actively saying yes to go on dates with the other and yes, that’s very problematic. She also stepped up to become Woo Joo’s legal guardian, yet she’s barely taking care of him. It’s understandable that things are difficult, but if you’re not even financially stable or ready to handle a child, why take that responsibility in the first place?Honestly, at one point I barely even saw any spark between her and the ML anymore. They should probably just co-parent the child, that’s it because he definitely deserves better. And the actress’s facial expressions are so bland that I feel absolutely nothing watching her whether she’s supposed to be conflicted, upset, or concerned. I just kept wondering that she didn’t understand her character either, because she just looks confused the whole time… which honestly would explain a lot.SML: Annoying, unnecessary, insufferable. I don’t exactly hate him, but he has zero relevance what the actual plot should have been and still ends up with the majority of the screen time.Honestly, if you removed him from the show’s 12 hours, you’d probably be left with only about 5 hours of actual story. After suffering from endless amnesia about what the drama was even about, the writer and director suddenly remembered it was supposed to be about the kid 🤣 so they crammed the entire story into the last two episodes. Rushed doesn’t even begin to cover it.Don’t watch this for the romance, the love triangle drags on till almost the end and honestly there’s no point. Because for enterity of this drama FL: sunbae sunbae SUN FKING BAEout of nowhere: Hey I like you Tae Hyung (AFTER GOING ON MULTIPLE DATES WITH SML)But I would totally recommend watching the Woo Joo and Tae Hyeong scenes through reels, they’re adorable and genuinely funny. The only reason I even started this show was because of the scene where Woo Joo cries after his parents’ death, which was an exceptional moment by the way. But apart from that the plot does absolutely nothing, like FOR REAL.If you are still in the earlier episodes, just do yourself a favour.I wouldn't say this was dud it had potential to greater than what was presented to the audience but yk some scripts should be kept hidden forever for the greater good of the audience and this is THE ONE.Giving 3 stars only for Woo Joo and his Samacheon. With Regards,Biggest fan of Woo Joo & criticizer of this show

the FL sucks The premise is okay. The ML and his subplot and friends are great. The baby? So cute! But after 5 episodes I want the ML to get the baby and ditch the FL so bad. She is so badly written and frankly, the actress is (unfortunately) absolutely the wrong person for the role. And dont get me started on the love triangle. It is unnecessary and not even mildly interesting. It is mostly created by FL's horrible behaviour. In conclusion: I wish this was some kind of 3 men and a baby in a photographer-setting instead of whatever this is. I am disappointed

Let's get our priorities straight I know I probably shouldn't write a review when only half of the series is out, but this is too frustrating. The story revolves around two in-laws who came together to raise a baby after an unfortunate accident, or so I thought (and hoped). I didn't pay much attention to the music, but it fits the overall vibe of the drama. In the end, if you enjoy love triangles, or a cosy story with small hiccups along the way, its a good kdrama.

Our sunbae First two episode were promising, good. now we are on episode 9 and it took a nose dive ever since ep 3. I don’t know what the writers and editors were thinking or what their end goal was. do they hate the ML? just curious…. Baby has been great. i can’t even wrap my head around half the things happening. every episode i feel genuine groans. why did they write a FL like this? if they wanted this plot so much, they should have made a DIFFERENT drama. FL should get with SML. yes, you read that right. NOT ML.

We're all hate watching, Aren't we? I started this one because I would watch anything with Bae Inhyuk and at first it seemed promising but at this point the baby is the only reason I keep coming back and it's not even worth it. I usually don't mind love triangles, but this one is insufferable, unbearable and quite honestly torturous. The female lead is bland, boring, annoying, selfish, clueless, dumb... I could go on for days really, there's zero chemistry between her and both men. Taehyung is way too good for Hyunjin she doesn't deserve to have such a prince fall for her and the other dude sucks baaaad but I can't root that couple either. The plot is draggy, boring and repetitive, the baby is the only redeeming quality of this drama oh and Taehyung good looks are also a plus, but this is an absolute waste of time, do not watch. I am already 10 out of 12 episodes in, I will finish, probably at 2x speed just to see how it ends, but I am sure 100% that it will be awful. To my surprise the last 2 episodes weren't as bad as I predicted, with the love triangle was out of the way the plot became what it should've been to begin with how ever it was too little too late and not enough to save this from being the worst drama I've sat through in a long time, Do not watch this.

The Big Bang created our Universe but "Our Universe" was just poop in Wooju's diaper. This drama felt like getting hit by a truck. You know no one's gonna save you but you have to suffer for 12 hours before you die.Absolute mess, written and produced by ChatGPT including the AI made intro. That's all I'm going to say. I don't want to waste your time for another hour either.Wooju is cute and funny, but that's all you're going to enjoy.Don't watch this!

started great and lost it totally The first few Episodes were so good but then it deteriorated totally. It’s really sad because of the actors and specially the baby are so good. But it’s just not interesting anymore and has no real heart. I will probably watch the last episode but drop it for now. it is not a spoiler that it has a left triangle, which is totally unnecessary. I was hoping for a healing Romans or a slice of life and the Journey becoming parents and overcoming the death of their loved ones together. instead, it is a wishy-washy female lead, and the second male lead who is a good actor, but a useless character in my opinion.

This review may contain spoilers Biggest red fla...
