It's much better than I thought. That way of showing fear, hatred, and a slightly sick romance, I love it. Everyone in the series did something wrong, so you can't judge them, and I love it. I love the protagonist; she's more than I thought.I highly recommend it; it really has a little bit of everything, and that's what's so great about it—it leaves you wondering what will happen next.

LOVE HER OR FEAR HER OR DO BOTH "Dear X" presents...

LOVE HER OR FEAR HER OR DO BOTH "Dear X" presents a protagonist who is nothing short of captivating, a character so complex that she defies simple categorization. This isn't your typical heroine; she's a study in contradictions, a woman who embodies both sociopathic tendencies and a personality disorder, shaped by a troubled upbringing. The show fearlessly delves into the grey areas of her character, portraying her as a schemer, a manipulator, and a woman with ambition that knows no bounds. She's a force to be reckoned with, and crossing her comes with a steep price. The brilliance of this character lies in her unpredictability. She can be as sweet as she is dangerous, a walking paradox that keeps you guessing. It's impossible to place her on a pedestal, and that's precisely what makes her so refreshing. Kim Yoojung delivers a performance that is nothing short of mesmerizing, capturing every nuance of her character's complexity. Her micro-expressions, her subtle shifts in demeanor – everything about her portrayal sends shivers down your spine. You find yourself both terrified and intrigued, eager to see how her story unfolds. While the female lead undoubtedly steals the show, Kim Youngdae's performance also deserves recognition. His acting has noticeably improved, adding another layer of depth to the series. "Dear X" is a psychological thriller that challenges you to confront your own moral compass. It's a series that demands your attention, leaving you both unsettled and utterly engrossed. It's a breath of fresh air, a testament to the power of complex storytelling.

Baek Ajin is an irredeemable monster. I was going to wait for the entire thing to air, but I couldn't contain my excitement, so much so that I am barely 7 minutes into the first episode and I am already in love, the intro is perfect just as the webtoon. This and Delusion are my most anticipated webtoon adaptations and I expect the highest level of quality out both, needless to say that my review will be biased, I don't think I can separate the adaptation from the source material even if I try.I truly cannot care less about what changes are done to the story in order to make a coherent live adaptation, changes are required and expected otherwise what's the point, right? but what I will not stand for is any changes made to Baek Ajin's personality , she's a monster nothing more nothing less and that's what makes the story so good. I know my current rating is ridiculous having watched 7 minutes of one episode, but it is what I feel for now. I will come back and adjust accordingly after I finish the 4 episodes that are available. I said I'd come back and adjust rating when I had finished the first 4 episodes, now I'm 3 episodes in and have to take a break, but I'm standing by my 10/10, the series so far is excellent, the casting is impeccable, the acting superb, the minor tweaks done to the story are glorious and the pacing is perfect.I had to add more after watching episode 4, it's the one with the most changes to the storyline so far, and it's for the better which I thought was impossible to do, it has made the plot more realistic and reassured just how awful Ajin is. I hope and pray that the upcoming 8 episodes keep up this level and if so I dare say this is the best K drama of the year. There's still plenty of time to screw it up though so I'm not going that far yet.

Disclaimer: Not for soft hearted people!!! This drama is setting a mark for extremely dark dramas. If you are looking for morale in characters, or perhaps have ignited a hope that things will turn better and everything will be all sundry then extinguish that hope. Here are only characters with no morale or sense of justice. So if you are more into that sort of things then this might not be your cup of tea because its characters are outright EVIL. I have watched FL in many dramas where she had played badas*s characters, bubbly characters or the ones where she is extremely kind hearted one. This one is something else altogether. I am sure it is gonna be one of the best dramas of her life.I am not saying such dramas haven't been made before or such characters have not been conceptualised before ( The Glory, Penthouse, The Mouse are few such examples) but it is extremely different in a sense that all the other characters are as hopeless as the FL. In simple words- with no morale or principles. How unhinged a human being could be? This drama will surely set a mark for that one for sure. The intro was more than enough to set the tone and few minutes in and I was taken aback by pure chaos that happened in the first four episodes. The music adds to the whole chaotic plot but the acting of every side character including the main characters are worth your time. It is definitely not for the kind hearted ones because you will hate all the characters. But if you are in the mood to embrace some dark, chaotic and unhinged vibes, then this is the best drama for you.

Insanity never looked better This is the drama we’ve all been waiting for. If you’ve been craving a psychotic villain FL, this is for you. I’m always at the edge of my seat every episode, and it feels satisfying every time. The first four episodes are very promising, and can we talk about the range of Kim Yoojung? She’s insane—I’ve never seen her this crazy; she’s literally serving face and talent. And to whoever doubted Kim Youngdae, you better watch this because he didn’t come to play. He really fits this type of character, especially after his role in Penthouse. I’m looking forward to the upcoming episodes and how Ajin will manipulate people. Overall, it’s such a thrilling start and I can already tell this drama is going to be one wild ride.

THANK YOU to the creators of this drama for getting me out of my drama slump It’s not often that a drama sucks me in and has me this invested within the first 4 episodes. I’ll admit - I’m a sucker for media that artfully plays with the morally grey. All too often, characters that are intended to be morally grey are either too hateable or too likeable in a way that feels inauthentic and uninspiring. This drama balances that line so well. The storyline so far is cleverly written and thought-provoking, and the actors are all holding their own in some pretty difficult scenes. I’m particularly impressed with Kim Young-dae - I saw a few of his dramas about five years ago and swore to never watch another because I thought he was such a flat actor - but he has improved massively and a clip of him in this drama is actually what drew me to watch it in the first place. He’s been added to my list of actors whom I think can actually pull off an obsessed, yearning to the point of losing their mind character like the male lead in this. Fingers crossed that the plot doesn’t fall off from here on out.
